Yoru (夜) means Night in Japanese
Yoru padded the hills, starving, thirsty, and tired.
Yoru has been roaming the unknown territory for a few days.
A few days after her pack kicked her out. She was only a pup yet they kicked her out
She found a stream and drank until she was no longer thirsty. Yoru sighed, wishing this would all be a dream. She padded to a small oak tree that will provide her shade from the hotness of summer. She thought about the few days before she was kicked out, slowly drifting to sleep.
Yoru felt a tongue lick her head. She yipped and looked up to her mother's blue eyes which were warm and sparkling. Yoru's mother licked her once more and Yoru enjoyed the feeling of her mother's kindness.
Yoru knew how much she meant to her mother, she was the only pup that had survived her mother's last three litters and probably the only surviving pup ever. Her mother got up and led her outside the den, Yoru followed eagerly. Yoru found the other pups outside playing tag. She bounded to them and played along with them as her mother watched her beneath the tree with her other packmates .
Over the few days of playing and growing, Yoru started to develop crushes, something that she knew was usual and hear due to the gossip of the other wolves, especially the olders . Male pups started to flirt with her, giving her roses, small meals and other small items. But Yoru developed crushes on two specific different wolves, one male, the other, female. The male was named Aioni, a black pelted pup with stunning dark blue eyes. And female was Akira, a cream colored female, a few months younger than she was. She was also the Alpha's pup. Yoru didn't know that her love for the same-gender wolf would nearly cost her her life, she was too young to know.
The next days, Yoru hanged out with both Akira and Aioni, her crush for them both grew larger but her crush on Akira was bigger and lasted longer. Yoru and Akira started to hang out more. Over time, Yoru was more confident from flirting with the males and she started to flirt with Akira.
Yoru eventually confessed to Akira and the creamed colored female happily accepted it. Though she was only a pup, she knew she loved Akira. Akira said to keep their relationship a secret, afraid of what her parents would do to them, Yoru didnÂ’t know why this was something to keep secret but she agreed. Yoru love for another female will cost her much.
One day, after coming back from hunting, Yoru was summoned by the alpha of her pack. As she went to their den, she could see her mother beside the alphas, tears in her eyes, which were threatening to fall. Behind her mother, was Akira, tears welling in her eyes too. Her mother was covered in fresh cuts with blood on the floor. Her motherÂ’s blood. Akira's eyes were filled emotions of both sadness and fear.
The alphas asked if it was true if she and their daughter were in love. At that moment, Yoru wondered who told the Alphas. The alphas snarled at her and bit her as Yoru didn't reply. Reluctantly, Yoru answered:
Yes. She was in love with their daughter.
The alphas were furious, Yoru didnÂ’t know why still yet her heart was pounding.

They wanted to give Yoru a punishment. Akira and her mother grew more worried. The alphas reached their final decision for Yoru's punishment:

Yoru's mother snarled at the alphas and jumped between her only pup and the alphas as the Alphas announced the punishment. Akira tried to reach Yoru but she was unable to as her mother was blocking her from proceeding . Akira begged and begged her parents not to kill Yoru. Akira's parents finally agreed and only made Yoru to leave the pack which was close to certain death.
In her last few moments with her mother and Akira, Yoru tried to calm them, assuring them she'll be fine. Yoru's mother cried but nodded, agreeing, she left Akira and Yoru alone. Yoru looked into Akira's dark blue eyes. They were filled with tears. Yoru licked them away and licked her cheeks, promising they'll meet each other again. Akira could only nod. Akira's last words to her before she left was:
"Be safe, Yoru. I love you,"
With that, Yoru left. Only a pup trying to survive alone in unknown territory. Luckily, she was soon saved.
She woke up, a nose prodding her awake. Upon opening her eyes, she saw two wolves, a white female and grey male. They told her their names were Hina and Kage. They took Yoru in, not caring what her sexulaity was.

Part 2, Yoru's past
It was about two months after Yoru joined KageÂ’s and HinaÂ’s pack. Hina was now like a second mother to her. One of the male wolves, Arashi, was like an older brother to her. Though she still missed her real mother and Akira, she was happy.
One day, a wolf came and made Yoru even happier. A wolf that Yoru dearly loved and missed came back into her life. It was Akira.
Yoru had been resting in the sunny shade when the beta male, Midori, came to fetch her, telling her to go see Hina and Kage and that there was a female wanting to see her. Yoru wondered who it was.
As she walked to the alpha den, she smelled a familiar scent. One she remembered next to her as she slept one that she smelled before she left. She ran. Hoping. Hoping that it was her. She entered the den. A female wolf sitting was sitting down next to the alphas who were talking. She saw the familiar cream and white fur the female had. She locked eyes on dark blue ones.
There she was. The wolf that she thought sheÂ’d never see again, standing right in front of her. Akira stood up, her eyes shined with joy. Yoru rushed forward and ran towards Akira, their eye contact never broke. Yoru hugged Akira and Akira did the same. AkiraÂ’s familiar scent washed over Yoru. Akira was back.
As they calmed down, Akira explained why she was here. She said that Hina and Kage had let her stay. Yoru was excited and happy. Her lover was here and was able to stay. She was overjoyed.
Yoru took exploring for rest of the day. Something both havenÂ’t done together for months. Akira was happy to be with her lover once again and Yoru was happy they wouldnÂ’t be separated. When Akira and Yoru stopped at the river, they told each other stories of
