I am old. It's funny how the youngsters look at me when I say that; most of them think of me as an ancient thing that will never die. In truth, I am beginning to feel death creep up on me; my healed battle wounds ache and my joints creak now. I gave up my reign as Alpha for a reason, no matter what the others say. I know I will die soon and I don't want to push our rising star Jaqen into a position with no guidance. In truth though, I grew tired of the never ending cycle of hate and violence that comes with being Alpha. I just wish I could protect Blake in the years after my death. She and I were an arranged pair, but we grew to love each other, even if I was many springs older than her. My hope is that one of my children will come back home, or that I will have grandchildren one day, but if that doesn't happen, so be it. In conclusion, if I die soon here is my wishes to be carried out by the rest of the pack; Jaqen H'ghar will stay the permanent alpha until he decides to step down, Blake Belladonna will be recognized as the founding mother and I will be buried under the giant oak tree so I can watch the stars forever. I will always be watching, my pack of light and darkness, over you until the end of time.

Today, I met a beautiful wolf named Suzanne, who shimmered red like autumn leaves. I am so close to death, but I have fallen in love at this age. I...do not have to worry about my legacy and bloodlines anymore. I have only loved three times; The maiden of Rose, Blaine, who died of the wilting cough. The warrior of the night, Blake Belladonna, who will out live me and lastly, Suzanne of Xeno, who will be my beloved until my death. In the end, Suzanne has given me the greatest gift of all for a warrior like me; unconditional love and pups. I am a father! I will not be forgotten by the world as my own father, Lalthar Ramain was. It seems like I finally have something good to look forward to at the end of my life. I can now die without worries or regrets in my heart.
