Hachiko :: Japaneese :: Eighth Son/Good Fortune
Shortly following his birth, the name "Hachiko" was given to him by one of his eldest siblings. A name in which referred to him being the eighth son produced from an elderly pair of alphas, and also signified good fortune. Despite being a runt, therefor gaining specail attention from his mother and numberouse siblings, Hachi never allowed his small size to damper his mood. Nor prevent a good adventure.
During one cold, winter morning, the pup - whom, at the time being, was merely three months old - snuck from the safety of the nursey while his mother slept. Having never witnessed snow before, young Hachi was awe-struck by the white blankets caressing the ground. While he played, he failed to notice how far he had strayed from home, until the sound of growling broke him of his trance. Unintentionally, he had wondered into a cougar's territory.
Hachiko escaped by taking refuge in a nearby underground den, where he was able to drift into a fitful slumber at some point during the long night. As faint daylight spilt into the narrow den entrance, the next morning, he was woken by the sensation of warm fur pressed to his damp coat. At first, Hachi was startled by the sight of a silver-pelted fox.
That evening, Hachi - lead by the silver fox - returned to the camp in which his family had once inhabited, only to find the territory had burned to a cripse. No sign of his birth pack remained. From that day, Hachiko was adopted by the Silver Fox, whom he deemed Silverlight; For the mute fox had no other name.
It wasn't until Hachiko had grazed his second year, that he woke during the night, to find that Silverlight had vanished. As abruptly as she had appeared, the fox had vanished. It was then, that Hachi began to slowly build his pack, named in honor of the silver-fox whom saved him. On rare occastions, during periods of twilight, he can still catch glimpses of her.

A wolf of my word, I cherish honor and loyalty above all other qualities. I am a natural born leader and pride myself on quick-thinking and actions, willing to defend my pack with my last breath. My rein may by strict, but I am always fair. Equipped with a temper, my patients is easily worn thin.

As the pack founder, Hachiko achieved the long rein of ten years. However, according to tradition, he soon stepped into retirement. Succeeded by his daughter and apprentice, he continues to guide the pack, as an honorable elder.
Hachiko's story ends
Hachiko spent his life-time in protecting and serving the pack, a trait in which eventually lead to his demise. There had been a pack invasion on the Silverlight Pack's territory and though the majority of members managed to escape the threat, some of the younger wolves were not as lucky. Hachiko returned to retrieve these trapped youngsters. During the commotion, he was badly injured. He passed away late that night due to blood loss, despite the efforts of his pack.
