It was midnight. The sky was dark and it was pouring. The thunder shook the ground, and the lightning lit up the woods, and filled the hearts of the creatures living there with fear. She didnÂ’t care though. She walked through the storm, paying no mind to dangers that surrounded her. She didnÂ’t care what happened, for she felt dead on the inside. She felt as if she failed her pack.
Lightning struck a tree no further than 12 feet in front of her. It bursted up in flames. She didnÂ’t flinch. She didnÂ’t even blink. She justÂ… Stared at it. The tree cracked and popped as the fire burned through it. As it started to fall, something caught her attention. It was another wolf, however this one was different than any other wolf she had seen before. This wolf was glowing and almost seemed like it was floating. It was a spirit.
They locked eyes for a second, then the spirit howled. She turned to see that the tree, that was falling, was right over her head, but it was frozen, flames and all. She started to walk toward the spirit with cautiousness. After a few steps, the tree fell behind her, missing her completely. She looked back, startled. She looked back to where the spirit was and proceeded to walk closer, but the spirit had vanished without a trace. She knew this meant somethingÂ… But what?
