@Petri Oh and one huge detail- fingers. Which sounds weird, but kids have such lil stumpy sausage hand X"D Drawing a child with long fingers just becomes very uncanny valley And a stylization general tip Bigger forehead very little chin = cuter/younger Less forehead/long chin = older. Say the face is in thirds, you'd want a very young child's face to be closer to the bottom third |

@Aes Yes! I'm so excited to draw her, you have no idea! And the style is really funky to begin with, so this should be a blast! :D |

@Will, katy, Aes Thank you! I'm used to drawing adult characters, so all of this information is of huge help! ^^ |

Oh wait I misread that whole sentence I thought it was written 😠Definitely goofy proportions. And still being kind of round. Kids lose a lot of baby fat by the time they're running around, but they're still very soft looking |

flying, usually larger facial features, especially eyes, slightly bigger head than body. almost like drawing in chibi style |

Petri A huge help can be how they stand. Toddlers have a really distinct unsteady stance most of the time. Also a rounder tummy and face help! |

@Kitten How they speak. And I don't mean the popularized w instead of r lisp. I mean things like 'Basghetti' and not understanding grammar rules. My brother did not have pronouns down until first grade 😠Also just. No filter. Ask a question? Well you got an answer, just nothing even remotely relevant. |

I have a five-year-old character in the artistic works. What defining features help a viewer look at a character and go "Hey! That's a toddler!"? |
