Had my phone call with the breeder! ^-^

Just general stuff, explaining the process, getting to know me and my living situation better, etc.

Pupdate - We have an official month!

Puppies are planned to be due sometime in June ✨

Something very important I am working on as preparation, the family pet dog, Yogi. Yogi is a senior terrier mix, and has a history of fearful/territorial dog reactions. However, he loves playing with other dogs at doggy daycare. He has improved greatly over the years, and only reacts if another dog barks first or invades his space. Once it's not so snowy here, I'm going to be working extra hard on this with him! ^-^

Puppy will have minimum interaction as a whole, as puppy will be living with me, but because we're "neighbours" in a multifamily home, and share a yard, I want to make sure this goes as smooth as possible so both are comfortable. I will be introducing the puppy sent with a blanket or some item before the actual introduction as well.

The dam that I was interested in just had her stud and litter date announced on Saturday!!

I'm talking to the breeder now to discuss further details, primarily pick-up for when the time comes, because I will be travelling a bit.

The universe loves to fuck with me.

I'm in a weird state of just....idks.

We are putting down my childhood scruffy old man, Yogi, this coming Thursday. He's old, and he had a healthy scare over the weekend, and is just generally in declining health that cannot be fixed. It was a family discussion, and it's for the best. He gave us an extra week and a half from the vet visit.

I don't know what this means for puppy yet. I've been in contact with the breeder, and may end up moving my deposit to a later fall/winter litter.

It all depends on where I am mentally and emotionally, Yogi has been my baby boy since I was twelve, so a new puppy may just not be possible based on my initial plan. Just seemed like a very important update.
