Hello, I'm new-ish to the game, and I see people keep mentioning the Toyhouse site in the Artwork forum. Naturally, I went to make an account and saw it was invite only. Should I worry about trying to get an account there? I don't really understand what Toyhouse is besides a place people post their OCs. I plan to sell my artwork on Wolfplay. Is a Toyhouse account a requirement or more of a big bonus? It wasn't when I played this game in 2014-1016, nor was it something hardly ever mentioned when I used to sell art on here. I wanted to make a thread in case any new artists also had questions about it. Thank you.

You're correct, toyhou.se [commonly shortened to TH] is a character storage website that's widely used among users here so they can store characters they buy and keep track of credits. If you'd like an invite code, there's a few threads with people who give them away, here's a few! [Alternatively, I have 100 odd codes, so I'm happy to give them out for free when asked!] https://wolfplaygame.com/forums.php?f=7&t=87479&n=the-th-code-thread https://wolfplaygame.com/forums.php?f=4&t=80352&n=toyhouse-invite-codes-freeThe primary reason people ask/look for users with toyhouse codes is for crediting and easy tracking of who owns what artwork/character. WolfPlay accounts are deleted after 1-2 years of inactivity depending on if you're a premium user or not - so this means someone could buy artwork from you, your account is deleted and now there's no way to credit you! Also, WolfPlay den pages can only be accessed by a user with an account, this makes crediting once offsite more complicated again. This can be a mild deterrence from people looking to buy art [though not commonly] and sellers might only sell to users with a toyhouse account [this is slightly more common, but I don't see it that frequently]. If you're a seller and you're not that bothered by a trackable, more permanent way to credit you, I wouldn't worry! You could also make a DeviantArt account which is another common way of crediting wolfplay users as it avoids the occassional issues of crediting a wolfplay account. :] A good portion of wolfplay is big into original characters and roleplay, which is likely why you see toyhou.se around so commonly. TL:DR; I wouldn't worry too much. They're easy to get accounts on but not having an account is unlikely affect your sales that much. Edited at January 5, 2026 01:34 PM by Eternity

When I used to be an artist I didn't really notice TH having a huge impact. I had one but found it a bit useless. It's just a place to keep characters, really. If you want it, I'm sure you'd enjoy it, but it's definitely not necessary in order to be an artist here.

I believe this game was made in 2012 or 2013? I could be wrong though!

This is very informative and I thank you for taking the time to answer my thread. I'll use one of those links just in case it is something people prefer I already have. Thank you again!

But, yes, TH isn't required to be a artist on the game, but it can help. I use it to keep track of all of my characters, and it is just a better way to do that. Hope this helps <3
