Latayel could drag him :D She finds out another outlaw has a letter (however he gets it, it's good in her eyes) and secretly doesn't want to go by herself, so why not just kidnap a stranger off the street to be her crash-the-party buddy?

This would work! Outlaws (who go on the journey) are being granted immunity/ pardoned all their crimes so it benefits them

Hmm, perhaps since I think most of the characters are Royalty or otherwise castle involved, perhaps it can start with everyone arriving?

He could definitely be present (they're gathering in the throne room) as the King has called not only the volunteers but all the advisors, generals, etc. You may start however you'd like, but he'd most likely start next to the King, kind of where Valentine is. I plan to have Aloysius talk to him after the main address! I hope this helps!
