ALSO, Bewitched and I have a relationship/plot idea to run by you Polly. We thought that considering the major losses suffered by the Myrleon and Solean clans, it wouldn't be too much of a leap for Aurelia and Calypso to make a marriage alliance. We figured they would be friendly at the beginning of the rp and work towards a romantic relationship over time. What this means regarding the ranks of the clans and merging questions are still open, and I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts. But I think it could be fun to at least raise some drama from those who dislike clans other than their own, as well as possibly recruiting outsiders like Nahoa since the rulers would be more receptive to the idea of crossbreeding. Although obviously Aurelia and Calypso wouldn't have that particular issue since they're both female. |

That's made difficult by the fact of why crossbreeds are so disliked and in general put aside. They often cause issues for the mother [often leaving her infertile, if she even survives the birth], and there's a high chance the baby may not survive, even if the mother is left infertile or dies as well. And, if the baby does survive, there's a high chance they're infertile as well. In short, a clan of crossbreeds simply isn't sustainable and would more than likely breed itself to extinction, hence why rulers for centuries have cast out crossbreeds, so their lines aren't continued if they're able to. |

Perhaps an alliance could be made for the time being, with it being understood that the two clans, while functioning together, are expected to keep romance between those of their own breed. That way the clans could come together symbolically, as tradition would have it, but there would be rules in place to prevent such a muddying of the lines. |

That's fair, I just thought it could be an interesting idea for drama. Plus hybrid offspring wouldn't be an issue in the royal lines since Calypso and Aurelia can't have bio kids. Anyway, this just means Solean/Myrleon couples can remain spicy and secret :P |
