I'm thinking I'm gonna attempt two characters for the first ever time. . 🧱 Ooh, cewl idea- Noice of you to offer. . Edit: Bruiser, I say absolutely yes! Dragon riders can be any race, so why can't we have a drawf or an orc on a dragon??? Edited at August 4, 2022 09:32 PM by Starwood.

maybe! or even be able to verbally socialize with them. like a dragon's roar actually comes out as words? that might be a stretch, but just a thought.
and i was thinking of making a main character and then a dragon, but they wouldn't be paired. so if someone wanted to bond with a dragon, mine would be available ^^

Are we sticking with the dragon trope of "older they are, the stronger"?

Ehh, we could, but that's a little basic. We could just go with they get more control over themselves as they age, so like younger ones are firecrackers while older ones can do damage at will.

yeah, i think it should be more like they have to master their power and such. that said, you could have an older dragon who's still sorta finnicky with their power and one that's a bit younger and perfectly fine.

Im slightly confused. So, theres gonna be dragon riders (Fantasy races(?) ), witches("humans"?), and dragons who can only bond to dragon riders? I think I might lean towards a witch role for my character. Are the amount of dragons random? Or do some people need to make some?

So, let's see if I can phrase this correctly on the first go, shall we? XD
A warrior needs help. The situation can be anything; perhaps they want to rebel against the government/monarchy, and need help in achieving their goal. Perhaps they had been assigned a task to do, and therefore need a team and have been given free range to recruit those they see fit for the job. No matter the circumstances, they need help. And they will not choose anyone, no, the warrior will not settle for a gaggle of half-trained whelps; they want the skilled, the talented. After all, they themself is quite skilled; and it's natural to want the best they can find.
But this warrior is no normal one, their innate skill seems to be different from those who naturally have a talent for something. Their ability, seems to come from experience, but they don't seem old enough. Unless of course, they are the sort of prodigy that appears once every generation, if even at that. In a way the warrior is. In truth, they have the reincarnation of a warrior of old, someone from the legends, the old stories. But except for their adoptive parent, nobody knows the truth; they may half-heartedly suspect in the manner that those who like to entertain an idea do, but they truly don't believe in it. For even though magic is common, reincarnation is a whole 'nother step out there. For if anyone knew, other than the problems that could pop up; then the warrior would be held to an even higher standard. For the original one, is considered an apothosis, one of the greatest warriors ever produced. Perhaps, the greatest, for they went above and beyond what most thought that a human warrior could do; but the warrior of old, they were no ordinary person. Some even whispered during their time, that perhaps they were the offspring of a god, or something similar. But, the reincarnation still has remnants of their previous life's skill and memories, which has aided them in their growing reputation. And has also held them back in a way, made them afraid of certain things because while the positive and helpful memories are present, then so are the negative ones. Their skill, is not quite left-over muscle memory, yet at the same time it kind of is. Their fears are both left over from their past life, and ones spawned by their current life. Likes and dislikes; hates and loves; fears and joys; strengths and weaknesses; the old and new lives blend together to be the same yet separate. (Perhaps, something that starkly makes both incarnations so unique from others, is that they are/were humans. For while humans are definitely capable of a great many feats; they sometimes seem to pale in comparison to the magical, physical, or innate abilities of other species. But for a human warrior, to be as skilled as the one of old; now that is no ordinary person.) And I think that's all I can muster for now. And for the love of- why is most of this post either focused on the reincarnation...I thought I had more general plot in my mind, but apparently not.
Edit: I sure can get long-winded sometimes.

I'm taking Familiar Witch but he can have siblings. Starwood. said: Spell, Honestly, really like that idea. Is your witch gonna be familiar witch, or is that position yoink-able? Was thinking about having a familiar, and this feels like the perfect opportunity. . Edit: Will be disappearing soon. it's currently late(for me, who sleeps like an old man), and I'm hoping to finish this reply before I sleep, lmao.
