Garcia in my mind is very... Hm. She is a motherly, caring figure to Gabriel, and for awhile, probably babied him up until he started highschool, due to the fact she wouldn't want to "embarrass" him in front of others. But truthfully? She adores her son and does her best to provide him with love, gifts, and advice if he wants it. Now, that's not to say she hasn't gotten irritated if he talked back to her. Garcia would not think twice about chunking a flip flop at him if he said something disrespectful to her or to another person (without reason). And this would only be after he enters maybe... middle school? When he's old enough to know what's good or bad to say. But still, that doesn't happen often since she's usually pretty collected and willing to listen before making any rash decisions. If Gabriel wanted to pursue something, like sports or a club, or even a talent, Garcia would provide anything necessary to ensure he'd do his best, and be his biggest cheerleader. Even though she's a childrens doctor and tries to be home as much as possible, she might appear to be clingy when around just because she hates not being able to come home some nights due to work.

ooh, i see. very kind and loving parent, then. i think gabriel's a kud who'd mostly stay out of trouble, so he probably wouldnt need any slippers or anything, aha. having two levelheaded parents (though garcia's probably a little bit more levelheaded, since usbeorn's prone to indignant rage) would definitely be interesting, though. i'll keep that in mind.

All I can imagine is Usbeorn going into a rage and doing something reckless due to that rage and feeling right about said action, and then once Garcia hears about it, she just angrily talks in Spanish to him pfft- I don't know, I just think when Garcia gets upset and/or angry, she starts speaking in Spanish 😂

Also! I feel like I should mention this, but Garcia wasn't super young when having Evelyn, she was very well into her mid to late twenties. I'll say... 26? Garcia up until this point had been living with her elderly mother who's just an absolute pain in the ass, and would use her frail state to convince Garcia that her life should revolve around, well, her. Garcia was belittled, judged, all that each time she mentioned going to medical school to her mom. It wasn't until after Garcia met the demon king that Garcia said "Fuck you" and put her bitch of a mom in a nursing home, then moved states.

Hmm... Since he was her guardian angel of sorts and had wiped her memory, I guess he assumed that she would simply try to live a normal life after that. But after she gave up Evelyn and realized just how far from home she was, perhaps Garcia had gone down a dark mental health spiral, wondering why she felt like she lost something so important besides giving up Evelyn. Since Usbeorn is a stickler for rules, she would've had to do something drastic for him to wanna step in and help her, which leads to them actually meeting.

yeah that would make sense. i guess she's a witch and probably would still be aware that she's a witch so she might try to do something to get evelyn back? which usbeorn couldn't let happen because it could throw things off majorly so he had to step in to stop her and try to make sure she didn't pull anything like that again and then. yeah.

So, in this world, each family of witches specialize in a certain type of magic - life magic, dark magic, healing magic, etc. Garcia specializes in healing magic, but just because they specialize in something, doesn't mean they can't try to learn other forms of magic. But because it's not what they specialize in, it's a lot harder to learn outside of their original magic type. Garcia, when she was younger, studied everything she could because she wanted to please her mother more than anything. But through messing with dark magic, she was able to open a semi-portal seeing into the Hell realm, which is how she came into contact with the demon king.
