Okay, so I saw y'all talking about zombie mechanics way earlier in the discussion. Here are my thoughts on that: Obviously the apocalypse was started by a necromancer sneeze. That's the number one cause of all natural and unnatural disasters, everyone knows that :) Interestingly, the idea of zombies comes from a real herb that would essentially cease a person's life functions while stil keeping them alive. And then they would be buried alive. Lovely stuff. So I guess it's very possible to create zombies from science. In the description, the zombification is described as an illness. Which, I guess, means any of our characers could still be infected. Yikes. I guess it's up to Pastry Lord whether magic exists. I mean, if they're starting in Lousiana, that is the place for voodoo, which is a major cause of zombies. I imagine a lot of the world is dealing with the same thing, or our characers would probably be trying to flee the county like all other sane people :) |
