TOTALLY! Dude I feel like I'm with my character and that I am them in those moments! I write straight from emotions if I'm being honest. I take on their personalities, mannerisms, and feelings everytime while I read.

literally. it lets me like,,, vent lowkey through my characters which maybe isn't entirely healthy but it works lol

Most relatable thing ever TwT. Best way to vent without actually venting.

Same over here. Dude it's the best way to do like anything. Express any emotion through ocs is like amazing. But then you get emotionally linked with them. So when you're sad they're sad and when they're sad you're sad. It's like a bond you can't break.

i know and people who don't make characters or rp or anything probably think that is hella weird but like,,, it's how we as writers vent and express ourselves are through our own creations. and most of the time, my characters are little tid-bits of my personality or just how im generally feeling then so it's an even greater bond when im feeling like how they are and something eventful or emotional happens to them

Exactly!! My ocs are little bits of me. Even if it's the tiniest sliver I'm in there. I feel like my ocs are my children. They are my creations. The things I care about and move along. Which to non writers or rpers probably sounds really weird but for me it just makes sense.
