Eh not too fun, mostly just have to describe the "education/training scale" (idk how to translate it better) which includes describing, loosenes, contact, evenness, schwung, rhythm and collection (once again, don't know how to translate it better from Swedish) and then just feet movement which I've got printed in my head because walk is "II", trot is "X" and canter is "%" which I know only makes sense to me but it works xD

That sounds pretty cool to me! I've wanted to know more about horses and how to train and ride them for a long time, since I want to buy a horse when I move into my own house. Though that'll probaly be years from now since taking care of them is real expensive.

Okay so now I'm just gonna explain all gaits because it's a bit easier to understand that way, I think xD
Walk is a four-beat, same side gait so the horse moves first the outer hind leg, outer front leg, inner hind leg and then inner front leg.
Trot is a two-beat, diagonal moving, leaping/levitating (?) gait. The horse moves the outer hind leg and inner front leg simultaneously, then it "levitates" a slit second (no hooves on the ground), then inner hind leg and outer front simultaneously followed by "levatating".
Canter is a three-beat leaping/levitating gait, first the outer hind leg, then the inner hind and outer front simultaneously, inner front leg and "levitating".

My biggest tip would probably be read books and watch clips and stuff to learn more BUT don't take in everything you see! So many things may look or sound innocent enough if shown in a positive light but there is so much that is just terrible and only for the convenience of riders. Like I'll admit that I've done some pretty harmful and shitty things because I haven't known better and afterwards I feel like shit about it since I know better now but yeah :/
Also horsemanship! Ofcourse there's many different methods, some better, some worse but horsemanship is the key to so much! First few months I couldn't mount Ponyo in the arena, had to get on in the stable just because he'd bolt and not let me near. Worked with him on the ground with positive reinforcement and just made hanging on his back an everyday thing, few months later I could get on him bareback in the woods without being worried at all that he'd take off because he'd gotten that comfortable with me and knew that it wasn't a big deal

Yeah, I'd want to know a lot about how to treat a horse before getting one. Before I get a horse though, I kind of want to get a dog. I never had one growing up, but I've always wanted one ^^

Oh, any certain breed in mind? I have a staffy myself, always had some while growing up, also used to have a ceskoslovensky Vlack (wolfhound)

Yeah, I go to an agriculture school with horses as my main focus so I've gotten to learn so much to help me get better and a lot that just seems like basic stuff you should know but you don't xD Also with a class of 30 people, all riding and about 50% of your teachers riding and competing, there's always someone to ask for help. Fun too because we've got people on all levels. One of my classmates won the junior Swedish championship in dressage and also a HUGE show in Heringe. Another is one of the top juniors in Sweden when it comes to cross country, one of his ponies are ranked number one among all cross country horses. Got two show jumper's frequently competing against top riders at about 1'30cm. Then we're just a lot of people in the middle and then a few who started out as almost complete beginners and have improved so much!

Im thinking of getting something like a Border Collie or Australian Shepard! Both are very pretty, intelligent dogs and they're both the breeds I've looked into most. Either one of those, or some kind of Lab mix.
