What are the qualifications for both roles? I might have a few characters I could turn human.

How about this. What if children that are too weak (like genetic illnesses, etc.) become Prey since the governments are worried about caring for the stronger people than the ill-born ones for the sake of preserving resources? |

Hunters are specially trained at the age of eight once they get approved after health examinations. They're trained to become stoic, able to adapt to any environment, learnt expert-level survival skills, and masters in a variety of weapons. Prey are humans that are too weak, broke a major law, showed pity to Prey, or randomly picked by a machine of sorts. Banished from civilization and have to learn basic survival skills (unless they're ex-hunters). They have to defend themselves and fight against hunters as well as wildlife around them. Having to scavenge around and search for parts to make traps, weapons, etc.

Hmmm- I got some characters that will work as everything to be honest. I bet orphans would've been decidedly Prey pretty quick. |
