Just to put it this way ; JJ does not tolerate people who do decide to do something to people close to him, and Sebastian is really the only person he cares about. JJ has also seen a lot and been through a lot; their mother passing away from cancer, Markus and Seb butting heads all the time, and he quickly learned that threatening others was an answer, but it always wasn't the best thing for him to do. This could be a moment of him simply being a bit of an ass all of a sudden, but it could also be the genuine fear that he could've lost Seb.
