I'm writing out what Evelyn's adopted family is like + basic info about them, and I've made some changes - one of Evelyn's adoptive brothers is married to an individual who goes by she/they pronouns, and they have four kids together. The other brother is a widow and only has a daughter. So, overall, Evelyn has two nephews and three nieces, one of the nieces not even a year old (Was an unexpected pregnancy). |

Okay, so- basically, from what I remember, a lot of this story is taking place after Evelyn and Gabriel's mother die from an assassination attempt by a demon. Garcia, their mother, was an earth/healing witch who had contacted the shadow demon king, who changed his name to Timothy and pursued a normal life to live with her after falling in love. In his wake, he left behind his wife, the queen Kieero, to be ambushed by the forces of the Demon Lord. Their whole kingdom fell and their race basically became extinct due to this. Timothy and Garcia were expecting Evelyn, and to prevent the baby's demonic abilities from affecting Garcia, they made a demonic promise that basically kept Evelyn's demonic side hidden until both parents were deceased. In turn, Evelyn couldn't be hurt by anything demonic, either. After Timothy was murdered by some of the demons who wanted revenge, an angel was forced to wipe Garcia's memory and pushed her to give the baby up for adoption. Now, this angel, I believe, was Gabriel's dad. So, it's a lot of running away from demons, meeting strange humans along the way, and eventually? Tackling Hell and it's forces 🫡 |

oooh, yeah, i remember bits and pieces of that! so the queen is pissed at evelyn and her mother and father because she was left behind to rot and literally everything she had got destroyed (and we mention her son repeatedly, too, so i assume evelyn has a prince half-brother? is that a character that you've already made?) and so she and what few are left of her species are Fucking Mad. looking through the forums, it also seems the demon lord (which, what does the demon lord rule over? all of the demons or just a certain subset of demons?) is after evelyn. why is that? |
