| i thought i hated essays but it turns out i mostly had a problem with the overly structured way you're supposed to write them in a lot of schools. apparently the five paragraph essay was invented in a college specifically to be easy to grade quickly rather than for any actual educational merit |

| River gets to skip 3rd and 4th period because his teacher accidently messed up his test so he has to wait until it's reopened (the test was originally supposed to go only past 3rd :p) |
