Since we’re getting close to full, here are explanations for upcoming mechanics.
-
I will be PMing everyone to reconfirm their submissions before we begin. This will be your last chance to drop out, make any changes to your sheet, or bring up availability issues! If you seem to be on a hiatus, or are unable to continue, your character will be dropped and labeled as backup instead.
I will be opening a back up pool and will draw from this in the case of any drop outs throughout the RP. Anyone is allowed to make a second character to add to the pool, but I will prioritize new players over current ones.
-
Once that is sorted, you will be PMed to determine your role. You will have three choices, may reroll only once, and enter the manor with a paper listing all the roles you’ve seen and what they do.
There are three alignments: Good, Neutral, and Evil.
Good is the largest group with a maximum of seven guests. Your main goal is to stop the murderer and leave the manor alive.
Neutral is smaller, with a maximum count of three. You are not aligned with either team and goals may vary greatly from killing to goofing off. You will be working alone to achieve said goal, even against other neutrals.
Evil is last on the list with a maximum of two people. This will be our murderer and one other role that may change the game drastically, or not at all.
There are more options than characters and I will be offering them up at random. There is a distinct possibility that you will enter with knowledge of roles we won’t be playing with.

There are paranormal and magical themes at play. While some characters have abilities that line up with that, they will not be able to tap into that power outside of what you are explicitly given. On a similar note, cell service will be cut to the surrounding area once the party arrives. Your characters may take note of these things but will not be able to successfully magic their way out or call for help.
You are welcome to try, as well as attempt other methods of escape, but I will warn that they are highly unlikely to succeed.
-
Every hour you will be separated and abilities will trigger. You will also place your vote as to who the murderer is at this time.
If you aren’t asked for an action, you’ve been affected by something or didn’t fulfill the requirements to do anything. You should still be messaged regardless, so feel free to poke at me if you think you’ve been missed.
This may take some time, so I’ll aim to do this no more than once or twice a week. You can make this a smoother process by checking your mail once a day and having your actions decided on before I get to you. These aren’t required, but will help get us back to regular RP faster.

That’s a lot of info! I will be keeping sheets on each character detailing what they should know and actions they’ve taken. If you ever forget anything, feel free to yell at me.
