Hey guys :D I'm ARMY or Larceny as some of you may know me :D I have been working in vet med for 8 years now, and have worked at quite a few hospitals (Mixed practice, AAHA acredited, exotics and more!) I now an a tech at a practice that has extended hours and I work solely on the urgent care/emergency team. We see all sort of cats, dogs and exotics for any mild to life threatening emergencies. I have my bachelors in Animal Science Pre-Vet. I love working with fearful/aggressive cats and dogs as well as jumping in to save lives during emergencies. Still learning exotics but it's been a lot of fun!

Hey! I'm Salt, I'm new to veterinary field. I'm actually a VA but as there is no difference between what techs and VAs can do in my state, we're just referred to as techs. I'm planning on going back to school next summer to get my degree in either veterinary technology or pre-vet, still undecided there. I absolutely love working with animals. *insects, arachnids, and rodents are not included. I have 2 dogs and one kitten, all but one dog coming from the vet clinic. I am so glad to have stumbled into this field and I can't wait to spend the rest of forever here.

Hello fellow vet med endurers lol I'm a 3rd year Veterinary Medicine student! Meaning I will be a Veterinarian by the end of 2027 [yippee!] I'm from Australia, so to give some background on how I got here lol I completed an undergrad in Bachelor of Science, major Zoology / major conservation ecology with a minor in biochemistry ^^ I had to stay an extra semester because I underloaded for one and needed to fill in some points to graduate ^^ So this took me 3.5 years. Because I graduated in the middle of the year and applications to the DVM are only open at the end of the year, I took up studying veterinary nurse at a TAFE [college]. I did this for 4 months and landed a job at my placement as a vet nurse ^^ Then I was accepted into uni in January 2024. The Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at my uni is 4 years long [it's tough going out here man] So I have ~2 months left of year 3, then next year I am doing only rotations and placements. Basically working as a baby vet ^^ however, I am working 42 weeks of the year for absolutely no money at all ^^" Edited at August 18, 2026 02:59 AM by Urux
