Giving items to Esme

Hey there, question for the June event:

How do I give the bronze cross and ornate machette to Esme?

I have two of each of them in my inventory, unburried, but every time I find Esme in explore she asks for the water. I got rid off all my odd spring water and when I encountered her again I got the text "Esme looks at you expectantly but you do not have anything to give her" even though I have quite a few things it says she needs

I was wondering what to do, because it keeps saying "the vampire will drop something you need" and "Bronze cross - Give to Esme" but I can't?

Is there something special I need to do? Am I doing something wrong? Is this a bug?

Hi. A lot of people have this question. You should hang onto Esme's items until the last week of the month, and then she will accept all 3 items at once.

I know this is a bit hokey. We are planning more story/code around this for next year to fit into more of a storyline for getting her objects back. And the doom that results if she doesn't get her objects back. ;)
