How does a wolf's affinity benefit it/the pack? Does it affect Pack Happiness?

Also is a wolf's relationship with another wolf in the pack randomly selected? Or does rarity/talent/similar traits affect it?

Affinity affects pack happiness, which determines how quickly or slowly your wolves will regain lost HP. It's best to only keep wolves with good or excellent overall affinity with your pack in order to prevent pack happiness from being affected negatively. However if you don't care about pack happiness than you don't need to pay attention to affinity and pack happiness at all.
Affinity is selected at random, and at random only. Rarity, talents, similar traits, etc. don't play any part into what affinity a wolf will have to other wolves. Affinity to other wolves is permanent unless you use a make friends relic, an item you can buy for apples, on the wolf to make ut excellent to all the wolves in your pack at the time it's used. I have a question: some of my wolves' affinity keeps switching from good to excellent, then back to good again. Am I doing something wrong?

It means you are getting wolves they don't like. Moonhunters said: I have a question: some of my wolves' affinity keeps switching from good to excellent, then back to good again. Am I doing something wrong?
