Are you making sure your wolves are using offensive moves (level one would be pounce, claw, or bite), rather than the default defensive move (evade)?

Adding this just in case You can feed your wolves in the following ways: 1) Using the hot spring feature in "Food and Drink" Caution: you can only use it once per day 2) Check out the Hidden Falls for free food. "Realm" > "Games" > "Hidden Falls" Caution: You can only receive one item per hour 3) Purchase from other players "Realm" > "Marketplace" > "Barter" > "Search" 4) Purchase from Slim "Realm" > "Marketplace" > "Slim's Foodstock"

Also, focus on your wolves cp; character points. On your wolves page if you scroll down a bit it says character attributes, you use cp to fill them. here is a list of what they do: Wisdom - Discovering things while exploring, Identifying prey on scent trails, avoiding quicksand Resolve - Offensive battle ability, accuracy, it also gives a slight decrease in how often prey flees Spirituality - Discovering things while exploring, success with Spirit temples Maternal - Number of pups born(only applies to the female being bred) Charisma - Number of pups born(only applies to the male being bred) Agility - Defensive battle ability: dodging/avoiding hits, fishing Stealth - Finding prey, tracking prey on scent trails Perception - Discovering things while exploring Dominance - Pack happiness, chasing packs Luck - Discovering things while exploring Battle - Offensive battle ability, damage Composure - Raiding the Farmhouse Morals - Fixing the Beaver Dam Social - Befriending familiars Empathy - Healing animals

Adding to what CriesInTheNight said, people usually max out their battle, and also either agility or resolve (or both). The best times to explore are spring and summer. In fall, there is less prey, and winter there is even less. Try exploring in the forest, at a low level. That is the easilst location to find and kill prey when you have low level wolves.

Your wolves also don't NEED to eat, you only need to feed them when exploring or in other instances I don't remember :/ your wolves will not die without food
