Word Craft is probably the best game on the site, being the only one with a score and a goal to make as high a score as possible to get many mushrooms. (Even though I'm only a day old on the site) I feel I have plenty of pointers I wanted to share so others can get higher scores.

1) Only submit amazing scores: You can only submit one score each day, so make it count. You need a score of 1200 to get the 20 maximum mushrooms, so submitting a lower score misses you out on a few. Keep trying if you've got time. Now as for getting those high scores...

2) Connecting letters: There's a secret for connecting letters. You're able to connect diagonally, but as long as you move in between unwanted letters (or around for letters around the edge), you can connect any letters. With some practice, you can make large words out of letters anywhere on the board. This can be a bit risky though if you miss it and waste time [but missing words doesn't subtract time]. To make it easier to connect distant letters, I recommend zooming in if you don't mind not seeing the timer or score (which isn't too necessary).

3) Letter combinations: You might want to find groups of 3 or 4 letters that can make several words. This includes S-E-A-R (ear, are, era, sear, ears), S-E-A-T (tea, sate, eat, ate), and S-T-A-R (tars, rats, star).

4) Word suffixes and prefixes: -ed, -er, and -ing are important suffixes which can boost your score if you're quick to find them. And never forget to make plurals of all your words.

More tips:

Use a touchscreen device if available. Mouse is also preferrable to touchpad.
If you get a board with few vowels but lots of letters with high Scrabble values, refresh.
Letters on the edge of the board are most useful because you can jump around to them.
Try not to worry about the timer or score.
