| Sig/Siggy | Shortening of signature |
| TOS/ToS | Terms of Service |
| F2U/FTU | Free to use. Commonly seen on bases, linearts and stock images. |
| P2U/PTU | Pay to use. Commonly seen on bases, linearts and stock images. |
Selling
| YCH | Your character here. Your character is drawn onto the lineart or sketch already provided. May also be written as 'YWH' [Your wolf here, and so on]. |
| BTA | Bid to adopt. An adoptable or character design that you bid on to obtain. |
| *DTA | Draw to adopt. Usually, a contest where you draw the character for a chance to win it. |
| OTA | Offer to adopt. |
| WTA | Write to adopt, may also mean winner takes all. |
| NFT | Not for trade. Not to get confused with 'Non-Funigble Token', which is an entirely different thing. |
| NFS | Not for sale. |
| UFO | Up for offer. |
| UFS | Up for sale. |
| UFT | Up for trade. |

| MI | Minimum increase. |
| CB/CHB | Current bid or current highest bid. |

Species/Original Character Terms
| OC | Original character |
| *CS/Closed species | Closed species are characters with set traits that can only be made by the creator of the species or approved designers. |
| Open species | Similar to the above, only any person can make a character within that species and it does not have to be approved, though they may have to follow a set list of traits when creating a character for that species. |
| Feral | An animal character that walks on four legs/quadruped. |
| Anthro | An animal character that walks upright on two legs/biped. |
| Mech/Mecha | A character comprised of mostly or entirely metal. Think robots. |
