“Sir?” Emma asked, gaining the man’s attention. “Could you tell me what’s going on?”
The man tilts his head, looking down at the small girl of eight. “There was a house fire, but what are you doing? Where are your parents?”
Dread filled Emma’s mind. Her family’s home was near where the smoke was coming from…
“I don’t know mister,” She replied, fear gnawing in her gut.

How do they feel about the culture/religion of Everlong?:

Emmaline does believe in a higher power, but is not as religious as the Everlong residences. She grew up in Everlong and didn’t know anything else, but after being exiled she started noticing some very obvious and unjust faults with the Queen and her rule. This caused a hatred of the laws and traditions, which are discriminatory, both physicaly and mentally, selfcenterd, and infringe upon the peoples rights and freedoms.

Appearance:

Emmaline is tan from working and scavenging outside to provide for herself. She has a spattering of freckles across the bridge of her nose and cheekbones, and bright forest green eyes. She has straight, shoulder length light blond hair that is almost always in a braid. She stands at 5’2, with a slim and wiry build, but still maintains a girlish figure.

Personality:

Don’t get me wrong, Emmaline likes people, but she tends to be scared of most. She’s often timid and nervous as heck when you first meet her, making it difficult for her to open up and make friends. But if you're lucky she might open up and be more talkative. Around people Emma trusts she can at times be seen joking around and acting a bit bolder then she would be otherwise. She can be clingy and jealous at times, but she would also do anything for someone she cares so strongly for. She tries to alway be polite and kind to everyone and respectful to strangers and her superiors. She tends to be somewhat calm and quiet, although depending on her stress levels it can lead to breakdowns and panic attacks. She can also be a bit clumsy at times, bumping into things and tripping often.

Try to add more to personality and appearance if you can, add more detail and highlight different aspects of your character and how they might react to certain things and how she would interact with people both that she cares about and hates, and maybe add more about how environments affect her. What does she have a soft spot for? What does she really enjoy? Put some more detail. For appearance, try to add more specifics. What's her face and eye shape? What stands out about her, or does she blend easily? What clothing does she wear? You said she's wiry, explain, does she have any particular curves or is she more rectangular/square? What do her lips look like?

Thoughts on Everlong?:
Raulf loves his kingdom but hates the class system with a passion. He admires the queen yet hates the way she runs things. Hopefully, the princess and the two princes will run things better once she passes, but it's only a dream. In his eyes, everyone can be imperfect, but many ignore their flaws while pointing them out in others. Raulf would defend his people no matter what and gladly give his life to keep them safe.

At a glance, Raulf is a terrifying fellow with a dominating presence to match. This man radiates an uncomfortable coldness, and everything about him seems icy. His golden eyes possess any life within them and carry an expressionless face 24/7. His height is 6'4, adding to his terrorizing existence and standing him out from the crowd, with him hating it for this reason. Raulf may appear as an imposing figure, but in reality, he's just a man who's afraid to grow attached to anyone. The tone of his skin is a pale color but will tan if he's outside a lot. He has a few beauty marks randomly scattered on his body, with two noticeable ones on the bridge of his nose and temple.

He's a young man but has the face of a middle-aged man. You'll see dark bags under both eyes and his face in a progressive state of wrinkling. A clue that he hasn't been sleeping well, either from staying up late or suffering from terrible sleep. Raulf's cheeks are gaunt to show off his sharpened cheekbones, and his temples have a small dent on both sides. The shape of his nose is straight; however, with closer inspection, you'll notice that it's slightly crooked. The man's lips are in the midst of thin and plump, not to mention a bit wider, unlike other lips. Whenever he smiles (it's rare), his teeth are perfectly straight and whiter in color. Raulf has a charming smile; still, he doesn't see it as such and finds it gloomy.

His eyes are almond-shaped, but he squints them a lot, having the appearance of having small eyes. At times, his eyes will have dark circles formed around both of them, and you'll barely see him without them. If you're lucky enough, you might catch them lighting up when he's in a good mood. Raulf has well-trimmed eyebrows, having a balance of thin and bushy-forming them into a curvy arch. His face is the shape of a diamond, with sharpened jawlines, exposed cheekbones with meager cheeks, and a slight outstretched chin. On the man's face are prominent scars (and beauty marks) that he got from the last battle years ago. In the center of his face is that scar in the shape of a poorly formed X, with another right above it.

Hiding under his clothing are many scars in different states of healing. With some from years ago, while the rest are much earlier. That healed injuries are caused by various things, from blades of swords to pointed tips of bows and accidental injuries. In addition, his has markings dotted disorderly that ranges from hard-to-see lighter skin blotch and beauty marks. Raulf isn't ashamed of his scars but doesn't like seeing them. Although his opinions toward his injuries are ill, he makes no attempts to hide them. With all these self-claimed faults, Raulf's an attractive man that draws in silent admirers, but they're too afraid to approach this devilishly handsome man.

Finally, he has no accessories or any other unnatural designs on his body. He's accepting simple features without the additional baggage of burying needless jewelry or adding tattoos to his body. Occasionally, he will dress formally depending on the event but refrains from adding accessories to his outfit.

Raulf is a man known for his cold demeanor, but it's not because he hates those around him. No. It goes much deeper than that. After losing those he holds dear, Raulf keeps to himself and rarely socializes with anyone for the sake of preserving what little joy he has. This man avoids socializing during parties, working, or training. He will silently listen while someone else rambles into his ears and won't speak unless the situation is dire for it. Before losing many of his close relationships, Raulf was a very talkative man that wasn't afraid of communicating. He was very open, a gleeful smile plastered on his face. He was very expressive with his emotions, but now he locks them away tightly to not allow himself to grow too attached to anyone.

Before multiple tragedies struck his life, Raulf had a sense of humor and enjoyed joking around with his friends. His presence could brighten anyone's soured mood and make a smile plaster on their faces. The woman always gushed about how he had such a handsome smile and how his laugh made their hearts flutter. Currently, this man radiates sadness and an icy sense of loneliness. His admirers cast him a loving stare meters away to not get sullied by his dull aura. Raulf is still a pleasing man with his appearance, yet his personality has become a negative bit in his life. Raulf still harbors a sense of humor deep inside him, and rarely you'll hear him chuckle before ordering you to return to work. A bit of old Raulf still lingers inside him, but his hardened side smothers it. Maybe one day, a fair maiden (or lord) can help restore the old Raulf, but for now, you have the frigid one.

With his chilling (uncomfortable) demeanor comes the protective side of Raulf, but his sense of protection is a whole lot different. He'll keep those that he finds as allies safe from harm, but if they can handle themselves in certain situations, he'll leave them be. Raulf would gladly defend anyone that cannot defend themselves, and offer his hand if they need it. Still, when it comes to his protection, he'll let you be independent of your choices unless your choices bring you danger. With his protectiveness comes his sense of his working to the bone, Raulf would stand outside your door and patrol halls to ensure your safety 12 hours a day. He won't rest unless you order him to do so, and he'll happily offer his life to make sure you keep yours.
