Personality Description
Morrigan is a cold, seemingly stoic woman. She keeps her conversations short and formal, and will avoid any efforts to make small talk. It is pointless to her, idle talk about the weather and what type of food was getting served. She would rather discuss more important things, like politics, war, history, or really anything that is even slightly more interesting. Of course, Mor prefers to avoid conversation all together. Actions speak louder than words, after all. She'll watch from the corner of the room, drink in hand, and listen in on the words rather carelessly thrown back and forth between family members. Doesn't matter who it is, no one is safe from her eavesdropping on them. Except if the conversation is so dull that it would be an effort to keep listening. But she has patience enough to wait, to see if the topic changes to something more interesting. Like family secrets, alliances and illegal trades.
Her patience comes in use in other times, too. Not just for trying to get information at a party. But for waiting to earn someones trust. Once someone gets comfortable around her, it's all too easy for her to get in on things she would otherwise never even know about. And if they try to stop her? Morrigan is very, very skilled in the usage of poisons. Just the slightest tilt of her hand over a vacant cup... She has enough authority to have any charges dropped, too. Well, most charges.
She is however, very responsible and dependable. If you want something done, it will get done. And fast. She doesn't like long, delayed projects. The moment it is decided to happen, she gets to work on making sure it does in as little time as possible. That is perhaps where her patience fails. Mor can't stand the sight of unfinished things, and will spend hours on one little thing just to make sure it gets done in one sitting, and done well.
She is untrusting, and very much so. Any contact made with her, verbal or physical, is treated with utmost wariness. She tries to find any hidden threats or malice in every gesture, even if they were made with the purest of intentions. That being said, she doesn't forgive and forget. She recovers and remembers. Any horrid thing that may have happened to her or her family, no matter how long ago, will be held onto. Grudges will always be kept, and very rarely will she let go. Even if the other party has apologized and made amends, she will not, at least not privately, do the same. Publicly, maybe, but a part of her will always resent them.
Loyalty is one of her core traits. She will go to the ends of the earth to protect her family, no matter what she may face or who may try to stop her. She would give her life in an instant if it meant the well-being of her family. Any harm done to them will be returned tenfold. She can also be very strict and commanding. Disrespect and disobedience will not be tolderated to any degree. Morrigan considers her word law, to an extent.
