Rising stars from all different backgrounds are throwing in the middle of a criminal investigation after the grand opening of an auditorium, meant for displaying new talents and entertain the population of the city. What will you do?

Plot
The year is 1970. A new decade. In a city similar to that of New York, rising stars have begun trying to make a name for themselves. Whether that's in music, film, or another particular art, the scene has become competitive and alive. The city is filled with life and color - there is always something to do. But with the new opening of a specific auditorium, things take a sudden turn for the worse, or in some cases, the better.
This auditorium was opened by a mafia - using this place as a front for their illegal businesses. The people a part of this scene are completely oblivious, and people such as those trying to develop a reputation, see this opening as an opportunity to get their name out there. However, this ultimately places everyone in a dangerous position when things for the mafia begin to crumble. Someone snitches, police get involved, and suddenly everyone's morals are intentions are questions. New friendships crumble, new ties are made, and true colors are exposed.

Possible Subplots
I. Mafia members front as performers to gain trust of those working there. This spirals once connections are made and the investigations begin, causing drama and fueling the already warm fire.

Please follow all of WPs rules; this is specifically for RPing and image rules. Id prefer to not get this thread locked. If you have questions you can always contact me via PM or, of course, a mod. -
Im asking for at least 300 words per response. Obviously more is welcome, but I'm hoping this would be enough to keep things moving and at a considerable pace. Your sheets should also reflect this! -
Do not join just to not post. If you can post once a week, then you're in. If you feel like you can not meet that requirement, either don't join or notify me. Id also like it if you state that you're no longer interested, will be going on a hiatus, etc. Communication is important! -
These should all really go without saying but; No OP characters, flawless characters, characters that are constantly stealing the spotlight, etc. It's quite annoying. -
Characters should have at least 3-4 strengths and weaknesses. -
Be inclusive of everyone. This should be a laid back, fun RP for everyone to get to know one another and to indulge in the world our characters are thriving in. -
I am only allowing two characters per person, but this can change. -
Not necessarily a rule, but always leave a suggestion if you have one! I love things like worldbuilding and it's exciting when others are just as invested as I am in something. -
As far as characters go; please make them unique and obviously stick with the given time frame. -
Reservations will last 48 hours beginning after your form is posted. -
Of course, have fun! Please bare with me as well; I havent properly hosted a RP in a long while. Everything here is subject to change, so be sure to check periodically! |

Roles
Performers -- Those with talents to share who become a part of the front for the mafia business unknowingly. Singers, artists, actors, any creatives are welcome.
Mafia Members -- Those who are a part of the mafia. Individually may have a role, though specificity can get a bit blurred after a certain point.
Civillians -- Anyone completely outside of the acts and mafia members. However, there's still a chance they're caught in the crossfire.
Note: If you would like to use a different role, say an officer, you may do so! These roles are just the main focus for now :)

Gender: Male
Role: Mafia
Sexuality: Bi, with a male lean
Appearance: Tall with messy black hair, shaved on the sides. He has a noticeable dip in the top of his right ear, a gunshot wound. Val has dark green eyes and tan skin with few blemishes. I WILL DRAW HIM AND WRITE MORE LATER
Personality Val is stubborn and straight to the point. He is very quick to go into a fight and is charasmatic, his charm often leading him to high places. Though, his impulisive nature often leads him to bad spots. He is not quick to trust others, though once he does he makes a great friend.
