Plot ▩━━━━━━◈━━━━━━▩ In Alaska, a popular sport known as dog sled racing has reached far and wide. It has inspired TV shows, books, and those wanting to be a celebrity mushers. I'm sure all of you heard of the tale about a dog named Balto, a canine who saved a town from a plague. Not only does dog sled dog racing bring fame to the dog owner, but their beloved furry friend too. Long ago, dog sledding wasn't for sport but as a job too. Before the invention of machines, humans and their dogs traveled across Alaska to work. The job was considered dangerous as mother nature wasn't hesitant to come full force, shoving weather and animals to intercept their journey. However, their jobs were no longer needed due to upgraded machinery. It caused many mushers and their canines to lose a source of income. To keep the ancient tradition going, the people of Alaska work together to formulate sled dog races. This brought money to the mushers and kept a part of their culture alive. Soon, people around the world visit Alaska to observe their famed races and witness them in awe of their culture. Races in many distances were born, ranging from short-mile races to those looking to join the sport and long-mile racing for experienced mushers. Despite all these races, only one has become popular. The Iditarod Trail Race. The Iditarod Trail Race is for those highly experienced due to how dangerous the trail could be for mushers and dogs. Even professional mushers are in danger of the course. The race is four months away, causing the experienced mushers to train every day to win first place. Competing in this race are two famed teams known for their ancient rivalry: the Star Chasers and the Glacier Crusaders. Which of these two teams would claim victory in the end? Or would fate have other plans for the two teams and pushed them to work together to reach the finish line? |

Rules •─────⋅☾ ☽⋅─────• I. No god-modding of any kind. Your character doesn't always land every blow or dodge every attack. They're human, nothing more. Even mythial beings have weaknesses. If you're in a fight with another character, wait until they respond. No OP or Mary Sue, Weeping Willow's, Gary's, or any characters of the like. II. Drama is, of course, accepted. Make sure to PM the person for permission first before starting it. III. PM those you want to build an affiliation with, don't do it without permission. Friendship and rivalry drama is highly encouraged here. IV. Reservations will last for 48 hours. If you haven't finished your character, someone else may take it. V. No OOC problems. Hate the character but not the player - any instances of unbecoming behavior will not be tolerated, and mods will be contacted if needed. VI. I will allow art for your characters since cartoonish human art is allowed - make sure they are properly credited and follow all of the WP regulations or this rule will be redacted. Put 'tomato' in other. VII. I'll allow a max of four characters for this RP. Two for each team. If you have a lead dog on one team, then you can't have that role again for the other. I want to make them even as possible and filled out. <3 VIII. Do not speak, control, or any source of usage with another person's character. If I see such actions or someone reports it to me, you'll get a strike. IX. The minimum number of words I'll accept is 150+. I don't want singular response sentences. The Two Teams •─────⋅☾ ☽⋅─────• The Glacier Crusaders Team Colors: Blue and White This team was founded in 1908 by a man named Steven McCoy with his lead dog, a husky named Don. The team has won a total of 15 races and lost none. Their team expresses the spirit of the sport, helping others to bring out their eagerness. They were the best team for years until another started to compete against them. The rival team was named the Star Chasers, and soon the two became competitive rivals. Their winning streak starts to decline after the other's arrival. Years have passed, and the Glacier Crusaders lived on, with Steven's great-grandchild keeping on with their dog sledding roots. Now, it's led by Elizabeth McCoy and her dog companions. Her goal is to bring back the competitive spirit to the sport again. Mushers [NPC; 1/1]
Elizabeth McCoy Lead Dogs [2/2]
Lead dogs set the pace and keep the other dogs on the trail. They are the dogs that respond to the musher’s commands of “gee” (right turn) and “haw” (left turn). Lead dogs must be alert and intelligent so they can find and follow the trail when it is covered with snow. They also keep the other dogs in the team moving by keeping the gangline tight. Some mushers might use only one lead dog but it is more common to see two.

At first, he did it for fun and as a source of transportation through the wilderness, having little care for racing for fame. As his wife grew ill and her medicine was costly, he participated in the sport for the prize money. His team represents the heart of the sport, with his warmness encouraging many people to do the things they love. He raced in small races for a couple of years before going onto the bigger ones, where he competed and won against the all-time champion Steven McCoy, the first person to give Mr. McCoy actual competition. Years passed, and the Star Chasers lived on, with his great-grandchild, Tyler Kingsley, taking his team. His goal is to bring back the love of the dog sledding sport. Mushers [NPC; 1/1]

credits to Lakela @ DA.com Warrick is a beautiful canine to gaze upon with his looks and bodily physic. He's a purebred Siberian Husky, clearly shown by his appearance. His height is 24 inches tall, the average size for a male Siberian Husky. Warrick's weight is 60 pounds, typical for his breed. His ears are erect, and the tips are rounded and soft. His neck is carried straight and topline at a perfect level. As for his tail, it's a mixture between curly and straight, with his tail curling at the end. Warrick has a dense, plush undercoat, aching poor Tyler's wrist. He has an extra poof around his neck, making it look like a little lion's man from the front. His legs and tail have no fringes like his neck does. Warrick has a broader chest, with his stomach sunken in slightly. His rear haunches are rounded, while his frontal shoulders are straight.
