Harlow was trying, but had now realized that she had been bleeding, something that hadnt quite registered beforehand. I'm trying. She could feel the cold seeping in, the little bit she could see beginning to fade again, no matter how hard she tried. . But Harlow wouldnt let herself go that easily- the last adrenaline hit her and gave a little bit room to work. She kept those thoughts going, trying to steady her breathing.

Eclipse felt the bond weaken as Harlow grew weaker. She let loose a huge, powerful roar, shaking everything in sight. As the people flooded out to greet her, they tried shooting their guns. None of it worked though, as every bullet bounced off as if they were gnats. She roared again, making the people stumble. As she roared, she let loose her flames from within, filled with hatred. She burned them all. Even the ones still coming out to replace the ones before. Eclipse realized what this place was for. It was the bounty hunter's headquarters. This filled her with even more hatred. These bastards hunted her people! Killed her family! And now, they were trying to kill the one who was there for her! . . . Dust. Nothing but dust remained... She Shifted back to her human form, and raced off to where the mind link was leading her to.

Harlow didnt even know where she was, but could've sworn she saw some sort of light in the far distance. "I-is that you..?" She sounded weak and rather defeated, trying to find where the sound was coming from, even if her vision was blurry and everything hurt again.

Eclipse ran through the hallways of the underground facility. She ran and ran, until- Wait! Behind her? She ran right past the room! Doubling back, she entered the room. There sat Harlow... As she saw the state the other was in, her hand was subconcsiously raised to her open mouth in shock. "Oh sacred stars, what did they do to you...?" Rushing over to Harlow, Eclipse scooped her into her arms. Holding the other close to herself, Eclipse could feel the life ebbing from her. "No... I can't lose you too! Please..." Eclipse sobbed, tears starting to stream down her cheeks. Edited at October 29, 2022 11:58 PM by Crystal Hills

Harlows breathing was quite shaky and shallow; she was trying so hard just to not.. give up. "I-I'm.. sorry." She glances up at the other, eyes unfocused. . I should've done better. . Harlow was still attempting to stop the bleeding, but at this point it wasnt exactly working.

"Nonono, don't say that! Please, don't give up on me!" She didn't know what to do. What was she supposed to do? She thought of something, but no... that would only work... if Harlow was her soulmate. She had to try. She didn't come this far just to give up on Harlow and leave her! Damnit, stop playing with my feelings like this! Just stop! "Forgive me for this, but it's the only way..." She pressed her forehead against the others' for a moment. Then, she lifted Harlow's head up, and finally kisses her after what seems to be so long.

Harlow closed her eyes and tries to just relax and calm down, trying to just take whatever comes at this point. What did that mean!? She mumbles and tries to reply, but it's just incredibly incoherent. After the kiss, after a few moments of silence, her heart rate began to pick back up a little bit.

To Eclipse's slight surprise, the kiss actually worked! That meant... Harlow was her soulmate. Eclipse was taught that when two soulmates kissed when one was dying, the kiss would stabilze them. That meant their wounds, heart beat, everything. "Sleep... I'm taking us home." Eclipse stood up, Harlow still in her arms. "Relax, and sleep..." She Shifted into something similar to a fallen angel, beginning to walk out of the underground facility. "I'm watching a night sky fade into darker hues of blue, and I can't help but wonder, do you see what I see? City lights off and on, sidewalks twisting and turning. Can you hear busy cars? Opening and closing doors? Take a seat, next to me, and watch tonight's dreams fall like shooting stars into your loving mind. Close your eyes if need be, I'll hold you tight tonight..." She sang once again, this time as a proper lullaby. Watching Harlow drift off into sleep, she raised her wings and began to fly back home.

Harlow couldnt help but slowly slip into sleep, eyes closing from the exhaustion of everything that has happened. I'm safe. Once that finally hit her, she was able to relax a bit more and fall asleep, chest rising and falling slowly as she fell into a deep sleep. . How things could've gone otherwise is something she didnt think about, because well, when you cant exactly think straight, it's rather hard.
