All of the thoughts Jason had were in fact true. Addilyn's small size gave her a disadvantage in hand to hand combat. Although she was technically prepared for it, things like what Recrimination had pulled were things Addilyn could hardly do anything about. Ashe has to get stronger and faster. She had to.

At the gym, Jason wore a simple white tee, and basketball shorts. He began with the treadmill, then went to the weight set in the corner. Beginning with a low amount, Jason worked until he felt his muscles limber up. Then he began to add more, and more. He knew he hadn't yet reached his max, since the gym always ran out of weights to put on. Right now he was at 400 or so.

Addilyn cooled down for a bit before getting on the treadmills. After about 20 minutes she turned her head and spotted a big guy, lifting a tooon of weights. Her eyes widened and she quickly turned back around. It was crazy how many weights that guy could lift. She didn't want to stare but it was hard not to considering how many weights he just kept adding.

The other people in the gym had given up on not staring. When Jason noticed this, he calmly asked someone, "Mind adding on some more? It's easier that way." Two people quickly agreed, and continued to add stuff on as Jason paused and asked them to do so. By now Jason was very sweaty, with his shirt sticking to his stomach muscles.

Stomach muscles I can't. That's such a weird thing to say 😂))
By now, Addilyn had started to willingly stare too. She had stopped the treadmill and sat on a nearby bench. Drinking water and cooling off for a bit, the entertainment was watching as the man added more and more weights. Unlike everyone else, she only looked mildly surprised, not because she could lift more, but because she had seen other crazy feats of strength before. When doing her hero work. So although she was impressed, she wasn't as shocked or surprised as everyone else.

The only surprising part was that Jason had no strength power. Most people had powers nowadays, and some seemed mildly interested, until someone asked him about his power. Jason didn't want to give away his power, but he figured it wouldn't hurt to mention a part of it, "Energy transformation." They had asked if there was any strength power there, and Jason shook his head, "Nope."

The response was surprising but not unheard of. Before powers had really became a thing there had been amazingly strong people too. Addilyn stayed well away from the group of people staring at the man. It wasn't any of her business and she wouldn't lose her manners so quickly. Staring was rude. Her eyes skimmed over the gym, trying to figure out what she should do next. Addilyn didn't have a set thing she did every time she came here, sometimes it was weights other times it was just running. About this time she really, really felt like hitting something. There was a boxing ring but she'd have to pay for a partner, and also be gentle since it wasn't a real fight and she couldn't actually hurt the other person. Maybe she could just pay for a trainer? There were to many options. So for awhile she just sat there, staring at the ring wondering what in the world she was gonna do.

Jason had finished up with the weight lifting and put back his materials. It always felt good to do a hard workout; it relaxed him, and help him focus on the new task at hand. That task being to get faster. Jason wasn't sure how to up his speed other than simply increasing his reaction times.

Addilyn had returned to the punching bags and went at it again. After about 5 minutes of that someone tapped her shoulder. She spun around quickly, her green eyes looking up at the man before her. He seemed like someone who came here every now and again but not nearly as much as others. His body was well-muscled but by just a physical scan she could see his weak points. "You seem to know what you're doing. I'm Tim, I need a training partner for a bit and I wanted a challenge. I was wondering if you would help me?" Addilyn was slightly surprised by the offer but she couldn't decline it. She needed a partner too. "Fine, but I don't specialize in traditional boxing. I use a mix of tactics so be prepared for that." Addilyn didn't off her name, she never did anymore. "Great! Let's go to the ring then." Addilyn kept up with his long legs with ease, she was used to having to walk faster to keep up with other people. She hopped into the ring first, it was a little elevated from the floor around it. Tim came a second or two after. "Okay, let's try not to actually hurt each other please. That would be great." Addilyn shrugged and allowed her face to become blank. This meant that her attacks would always be a surprise. He went for her first, sending a fist towards her abdomen. Using her speed she scooted out of the way and grabbed his arm. Planting her feet firmly on the floor, she threw him over her shoulder and allowed a small, triumphant smile to reach her face. Although Tim was a bit smaller than Recrimination and definitely less skilled, at least she had been able to toss him. That was a start to both getting stronger and upping her speed. Jason was far past what he was doing. Currently he was running on the treadmill to cool down, but his mind was on the people in the ring. Jason would be honest when he said that he doubted the girl would be able to beat the guy. He was much bigger, and nine times out of ten, the bigger person one in close quarters fighting. Perhaps he could fight her, and figure out her power. Based on the way it wasn't a super fluid toss, as if he was a doll, it doesn't seem as though she has a strength power. It was natural force that allowed her to do that.
