Delta entered his packamate's room, seeing Wyatt all wrapped up in bandages made him feel even more unsettled than he was; it made only imagine how he would feel when he would see the other two. He snapped out of his thoughts when he heard Wyatt speak up, clearing his throat before he spoke, " for the most part...yes, everyone will be ok," Delta answered, folding his arms across his chest. "I'm going to be honest with you and say I want to tear into the person that caused this but, we aren't allowed out of our barracks I think specifically for that reason. Now we're waiting to hear what will happen with him." He sighed. Standing the silence for a few moments before Delta muttered, "...I'm glad you're all alive.."
Emerald was awake when the scientist walked in, her eyes were open but she was staring at the wall. Her head felt foggy and she could still feel that her body was in pain even if it was numbed slightly. She heard her voice being called faintly which brought her slightly out of her blank stare state; her ears twitched and she turned her head to see a figure standing by her bed side. "...who's there...?" Emerald muttered, trying to focus on the firgure before her.
"The lead scientist, from the lab," He answered clearly. "I'm just here to check on your wounds and change some dressings" His tone was soft and gentle, which he hoped would keep her calm. Receving a quiet, "Ok" from Emerald, it gave him the go ahead to start changing the dressings so he could check on her wounds. With Emerald's burns still being tender to the touch the red wolf started to let out whimpers took dressings on and put new ones on, he did apologize to the werewolf as he worked but there wasn't much he could do as he was being as gentle as he could.

Wyatt settled back with a sigh, willing to stay put. Not that he'd be getting far anyways. He studied Delta for a moment before staring off into space, humming his agreemant. His teeth itched for the one who did this. "Bastard" he stated simply, holding back what really was on his mind. Words saved for an opportune moment. Hearing Emerald's pain in the other room worked him up even more. But his concussion spiked, firmly knocking back his aggression a little. Trying to take a deep breath brought it back up. Everything hurt and he hated it. "Mm, you too. Don't exactly feel it though" he answered quietly. With how much he annoyed his friend, he was surprised. "My head hurts, get out," he growled, subtly playful, and put his arm over his eyes. A low rumble came from Liri, hearing Emerald. Her temper was still a bit unstable. Emery looked over at her, moving closer on the couch they shared and resting her head on her shoulder, trembling a little herself. Liri squeezed her eyes shut and rested her head ontop of Emery's for a moment. Forcing herself to wait patiently. There was not much she could do now.

Delta sighed as he listened to Wyatt, at least he was trying to act like himself. He perked up hearing Emerlad's whimpers coming from the next room; it was most likely the lead scientist tending to her wounds but he couldn't help but feel like he should run to go check on her. "If that's what you want then I'll go," Delta replied as he turned to leave the room, "Just focus on resting, for now, I'll be sure to let you know if something happens." He was just about to shut the door before stopping himself, "Or if we receive food," Only after saying that did Delta finally leave Wyatt be, leaving the door ajar instead of fully shut; he went on a joined Emery and Liri.
After 15 minutes the lead scientist finally came out of Emerald's room; he had to give her something to help her fall asleep after she had also been given pain medicine. He was mumbling to himself about her burns as he wrote on his clipboard; walking back over to Liri and Emery, surprised to see Delta with them as well. "Oh Delta, I didn't hear you walk by Emerald's room." He said. "Anyway, I just got finished with Emerald, I'm going to tell those medics that she needs pain and sleep medicine," He said.

Emery bolted upright upon the appearance of the scientist. Looking to him expectantly for further report on their pack member. Pain and sleep medication meant she was in a significant amount of pain. "She's resting now, then?" After a while, with everyone treated, the pack was left to themselves again. Safely tucked in their quarters, away from prying eyes. Purposefully done so for not only their safety, but also that of the human soldiers. Especially after very recently occurring events. Morning came with a pale orange sunrise coloring the horizon. To those unaltered, the atmosphere was almost peaceful for a war zone. Apart from the chatter of rising men and women, a vehicle or two setting out for mission, and the excited yaps of one of the canines at the sight of it's handler. To the finer, more delicate ears of the wolves, the faint noise of a firefight could be heard well off in the distance. The irritable clatter if the kitchen starting up. Mortars and jet fire streaking out with their deep, vibrating explosions. This was especially the case for the slender, dark furred wolf laying within the still dark quarters. Her ears up and hackles raised even in her resting state, upright in the center of the living room with her head between her paws. The jagged gash across her shoulders throbbing painfully. With each faint, muffled explosion, the images of the day before would flash vividly in her dreams. Sombra's yelp, the gunfire, the shock throwing her and her teeth never sinking into their mark. Pack mates sprawled around, some trapped. A knock rang out and her eyes shot open. A deep growl rumbling from her chest in warning. Threatening the potential intruder, alerting the others. "Easy now. Medics will be stopping by to do a checkup on you guys. Breakfast afterwards." A familiar voice of a guard called out, easing both the tension in her form and her swiftly darkening eyes. Liri had been on edge all night with half their pack vulnerable. Deciding to shift and keep guard in a light rest, Emery having eventually given and gone to bed. She rose to her paws and stretched gingerly before first checking to see if Delta had awoken, then slipped away to go see how Sombra was doing. The other two next on her list. Liri nudged the door open, careful incase he was still asleep. Emery was roused by Liri's warning call. Hearing a guard speak briefly before leaving again. She groaned sleepily, untangling her hands from the sheets to rub her eyes. Finding that her muscles were sore and made aware of a couple scrapes she had been given. Nothing compared to what the others had. She sat up and slipped out of bed, running her fingers through messy hair as she stumbled out of her room. "What's happening?" She murmured, worried of the others even though practically still asleep.

When Liri had come to check on Delta he was already awake, having been woken up by the knocking guard moments earlier. While Liri had been guarding the main room for the night in her wolf form Delta had dragged one of the chairs into the hallway that connected all their rooms; placed it against the wall and sat in it for the rest of the night. He was also guarding but he still fell asleep but had stayed alert for anything that wasn't the normal bird song and early morning noises of patrols starting and dogs yapping. Delta stood up and stretched his arms and back, the chair wasn't exactly comfortable. Looking over at Emery when she came out of her room and asked what was happening, "Medics are coming soon." Delta answered, "And I'm guessing breakfast along with it." As Liri nudged the door to Sombra's room open the door creaked somewhat softly. The room would have been dark if not for the pale orange light bleeding into the room thanks to the window, but the room was mostly eerily quiet if not for the soft breaths coming from Sombra that Liri's sensitive ears were able to pick up. Sombra was lying on top of his bed with his blanket covering him even in wolf form, at least the scientist was considerate enough to tuck him after such a rough day.
Upon hearing the creaking door open just a little, Sombra's ears twitched and he opened his eyes; luckily he had been laid down facing the door instead of the wall when the medics had brought him in the previous night. Squinting his ember eyes to try and get a look at who was at the door, his vision refused to focus itself on the blurry figure at the door due to him just suddenly waking up. "Who's there..." Sombra mumbled weakly. Lifting his head a little to sniff the air, recognizing the familiar scent. "...Liri?"

Emery nodded a little to acknowledge his answer before stretching and finally focusing on the sight before her. "You've been there all night?" She asked, equally as surprised as she was concerned. It didn't look like a particularly comfortable position to spend the night in. It was also around this time that there was movement from Wyatt's room. He had managed to pull himself out of bed, staggering painfully on his paws at first before finding a balance his body was happy with. His head still hurt from the blast, and his body more so where his wound was wrapped, but he was growing restless -he is a terrible patient-. He wanted to know how the others were, and especially Emerald."I heard something about breakfast," he declared, the large wolf sticking his head out the bedroom door. Wise enough to keep his voice down for those still resting. Liri hummed softly in confirmation. "Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you," She said, stepping a little a closer, "how are you feeling?" It was comforting to see him alive and well, even if probably in a significant amount of pain. Her ears flicked towards the sound of the others starting to move, shaking her head slightly when she heard even Wyatt. She was pretty sure the idiot wasn't meant to be getting up yet. Sombra relaxed when he got confirmation that it was just Liri at his door. "It's...ok..." He mumbled. "Either you or...the pain medicine wearing off...was going to wake me," Sombra said; his ear twitching again when he heard a voice he believed belonged to Wyatt. He was going to question this, as last, he saw his packmate wasn't in the best condition, but then Sombra suddenly remembered that he hadn't answered Liri's question. "...I could be feeling worse..." Sombra finally answered after a long pause. Delta was just about to answer Emery's question about him being in the hallway all night until he was interrupted by shuffling and a familiar voice. His half-head nod turned into his head turning towards Wyatt's room; Delta had left the door cracked open last night just in case he needed to rush in to help Wyatt if he fell off his bed or if someone broke in. Delta couldn't help but stare at Wyatt's head for a couple of seconds, of course, he knew Wyatt loved his food, but he didn't think he'd push through pain at only the mention of it. "Aren't you supposed to be resting in bed?" Delta asked. Crossing his arms as he finally found his words.

Liri's ears pinned back slightly as she listened him spoke and waited for his answer. "They should show up with something for the pain soon. Anything I can do for you until then?" She offered, wanting to make sure he was fine. There was only so much else she could do. "It's getting boring" Wyatt grimaced in a not so serious fashion, uncomfortably shifting forwards on his paws to lean his weight against the doorway. "I'm assuming Liri's with Sombra, how's Emerald?" He questioned, determined to escape his confinement and the gaze of their leader that was fixed on him. Far too impatient for his own good. "Go back to bed, I'll go check on her," Emery gasped. Sleepy eyes widened in horror. Far too much was happening far too early in the morning. Another knock rang out, alerting them to the arrival of the medics.

Sombra went quiet again as he thought to himself not wanting Liri to leave feeling as if she couldn't do anything to help him. "...Some water please," He spoke up. His ear twitched as he heard a knock on the door, alerting him to either their breakfast arriving or the medics coming to check up on them; Sombra honestly hoped it was both as he was both hungry and in pain. He could also hear the voices of Delta, Emery, and Wyatt coming from the hallway, Sombra just did his best to focus on Liri. Sombra would ask her what they were talking about later. "You know, Emerald wouldn't be happy to see you out of bed," Delta said. Delta said as he examined Wyatt's condition, noticing him putting all his weight on one side and leaning on the doorframe and also the determined look in Wyatt's green eyes. "As Emery said, go back to bed. We don't need you injuring yourself further," He added. Standing at attention when he heard another knock on the door, glancing at the door and then back at Wyatt. "If there is any food I will bring it to you," Delta said. Bringing his arms back to his sides as he walked down the hallway to the door in the main room. Opened the door slightly to peek and make sure that it was the medics and their guards.

Liri gave a slight nod, ears turning towards the knock. "That must be medical. I'll go see what's going on and come back with some water for you," She said softly. Looking over him a last time to make sure he was indeed fine before turning to leave. Coming across the scene of Wyatt trying to flee his room as Delta was by the door. She fixed the blonde wolf with a challenging glare, raising her hackles. The line of dark fur interrupted by the wound across her shoulders. A silent message conveyed, a battle fought, the nimble she-wolf of the pair coming out the victor. She had no intention of actually challenging him, but it was the easier option to keep the brute from worsening his injuries. "You can wander around when your condition has bettered. Listen to Delta." She'd overheard some of the conversation. "Emery, make sure Emerald isn't startled by the medics?" She suggested. Then finally retreated briefly to her room to shift and dress herself. Going back and forth between her forms like this wasn't much good on her own wound, but it was in fine enough condition she didn't pay it much attention. This done, she made to go get Sombra water and see what was going on. Wyatt, seeing opportunity as soon as Delta was distracted, didn't consider their leader's words at first. However, he barely managed a step from his room when Delta was replaced with Liri. The silent challenge stilling him. He could atleast recognize he was in no condition to get past her, and she was especially irritable since the day before. He begrudgingly gave in, tottering back unsteadily and choosing to ease down onto the floor instead of make the struggle towards his bed and then the effort of getting on. Giving to the building pain and the fact it probably really wasn't a good idea to worry Emerald with the condition he was in.. Perhaps he could slip by later. "Ofcourse," Emery took to Liri's suggestion, relieved that, for now, Wyatt had settled. She stepped towards Emerald's room, peering inside to see if she was awake. "Em?" She whispered. Not really wanting to disturb her. Delta was greeted by three medics, alongside two of their guards. The goal was to get in, check on injuries and give medications, and get out. As swiftly as possible. The wolves were visibly on guard and a touch paranoid. No one felt like taking the risk of stressing them. They were expensive, dangerous weapons afterall. Negligent as the project was handled in some areas, some efforts were being made. "Morning, Delta. These medics here are just going to check on your friends' condition and administer medication according to our dear scientist's recommendation. Breakfast isn't far behind." The slightly aged guard spoke up with a warm smile, subtle wrinkles drawn around his eyes with this action. Edited at February 10, 2023 01:10 PM by Archaic
