+ Toby - 1st Person + I just wanted to get the colt used to walking around a lot and being led around so I just walked him for a good while. Once it was lunch I tied him in front of the cabin and sat and watched him while I fed the cubs again and then ate my lunch. He was doing better than expected, most Colts would stand there and pull, doing weird poses to try and get off. He just stood there patiently waiting, I gave Mojo a few scraps as I couldn't finish my sandwich. I brought Mojo out and the colt just sniffed him, he was already pretty much desensitized. I would definitely have to get him used to cows, this is the worst time of year to try and start a new horse. No cows were around other than sick ones, they were all up grazing. We had a couple of bottled calves for the kids to take to the fair and show. But that was it. I let out a sigh and just continued to lead him around. He still didn't have a name, but I hoped he would keep his color. I looked over to see Alessandro, once he looked at me I waved, still leading the colt.

I still had no exact plan as to what to do. That was fine with me usually though, I spent most of my childhood just outside wandering around. I didn't like to think it but it was definitely something I really liked and enjoyed doing, just walking around with hardly anything on the brain. Although today there was quite alot on my mind. I was wondering if I would be starting any jobs today, I did think of asking but decided against that, I didn't want to annoy anyone. I was all too aware of how me overthinking could easily stop me doing something, not that it usually did, I normally just spoke whatever was on my mind and had been told I was quite impulsive. I wasn't sure which was worse. I shook off the thoughts and then noticed Toby was leading a foal. I smiled instinctively and waved back before starting to make my way over. "Hey, how are you doing?" I spoke with a small smile, my gaze drifted to the foal "Who's this guy?" I asked indicating to the foal. (Sorry if it's not the best writing, I'm not feeling too great)

+ Toby - 1st Person + "I could be better, could be worse." I said to Alessandro after he approached "But this little man doesn't have a name yet, This is one of Chic's offspring, he was born just last year. So my father figured he should be my next horse. I'm hoping he keeps his blue roan color and it doesn't fade." I said as I pet his forelock and forehead. "I'm just trying to hold on, next time you go inside could you feed the cubs for me? It's difficult to train a colt and raise mountain lion cubs at the same time." I said, "They need to be fed too often and I can't randomly leave the colt alone and stop in the middle of training." I explained

I nodded at Toby's reply and offered a small smile, I could definitely understand why he'd be feeling like that. I looked at him as he spoke but soon my gaze drifted to the foal, I could see why Toby wanted him to keep his colour, it was certainly beautiful. I hadn't seen many horses before but always appreciate how majestic they were. "Yeah, lets hope he does, he's definitely pretty" I replied with a small nod. I listened to what Toby was saying, obviously I had no idea how difficult it was to care for animals, let alone youngsters but I could just imagine. "Yeah that's understandable, and of course, I'd be happy to help" I spoke with a smile trying to hide my enthusiasm about that. I think I was just glad that I could be doing something to help, after all that was why I had come to the farm in the first place.

+ Toby - 1st person + I sighed in relief "Thank you, it's basically like taking care of three children and they need constant attention." I explained "I wasn't exactly taught how to raise anything from the 'stay in the house and take care of kids' sense," I said "I was raised to be a 'work on the farm and once they get old enough show them the ropes of the farm but still be their father' type of thing," I said with a nervous laugh "Like how my dad is, I didn't see much of him other than Lunch and dinner when I was young, but the moment I turned 7 I was being taught how to work outside with the small things. like the chickens, we don't have them anymore because the foxes got them but I was gonna try and get more because that time of year is coming around," I explained "It would be nice to finally have eggs again,"

I nodded with a wide smile, "No worries, as I said I'm happy to help with anything" I was still trying to not show how enthusiastic I was. I knew it could be abit overwhelming and that was the last thing I wanted to do. I couldn't help but chuckle at the comparison Toby made but it did make sense. I carried on listening to him and thought about how interesting it seemed, it did make me think though about how different our lifestyles and upbringings were. That was definitely something that fascinated and intrigued me, I loved to know how other people lived. I shook away my thoughts to listen to Toby and nodded again, "Yeah, chickens would be nice" I spoke, they were probably the only animal I actually had experience with. Although only because Crystal wanted me to look after their's for them.

+ Toby - 1st Person + "would you want to go to town with me when I get them?" I asked "That way you could get anything you might have forgotten and respond to some messages," I said. In reality, I just wanted someone to go with me into stores because of how much I got stared at. Mainly because I have a "service dog" Mojo is registered as an emotional support along with a working animal so I am allowed to bring him into stores. Sometimes people don't believe working dogs are actually a thing so I had to get him registered in a different area. I let out a sigh, "I don't trust taking Garrett and Derek because you have seen how chaotic that duo is," I said with a nervous look and put my hand on the back of my neck.

I listened to Toby and my eyebrows slightly raised, out of surprise I assumed but I smiled and nodded. "Yeah, okay" I said with another smile, I did feel myself blush abit but hoped it wouldn't show and let my gaze fall to the floor. I switched the topics in my head and just thought that it would definitely be nice to catch up with Crystal if nothing else, and like Toby said I could get something if I needed to. I obviously wasn't sure when he planned on going but I was still fairly looking forward to it, I guessed it could be quite nice to see the town around here. I had grown up in a small town so mostly felt very comfortable in them, or atleast at home. I looked back at Toby hearing him start speaking and chuckled slightly "Yeah, I see what you mean" I offered a small smile.

+ Toby - 1st Person + "Great, I'm going to try and go tomorrow," I said "So I will see you around!" I said walking off with the colt and waving. The colt was still behaved and it made me start to think something was wrong. The vet is supposed to come here in two days so I can just ask him to look at the colt. I took him into the round pen to see if he would lunge for me. I probably spent the whole afternoon trying to get that colt to lunge. I noticed the sun started going down and let out a sigh before taking the colt to the barn and putting him in Chic's old stall. After I went and started making my own dinner, I wasn't exactly in the mood to eat with anybody. If I was being honest, it felt like all my emotions were slightly numb. Like they were there, but it was more difficult to feel them.

I nodded at what Toby said and smiled with a small wave "Okay, bye!" I turned away and continued my walk that I had originally planned to do. I had no idea what time of the day it was but it didn't matter all that much. I walked around the farm, feeling slightly uncomfortable because I wasn't sure if I was even allowed to, but was mostly just enjoying myself. It had been a while since I could just relax, the city definitely had been tiring especially with all the work I had to do to get the rent paid. Not that I minded all too much but I did find this was certainly nice not having to worry about that. I wandered around until I remembered having to feed the mountain lion cubs, instantly I wandered over and found some instructions on how to feed them. I fed the three of them before taking a while to admire them, they were cute, I had to admit. I smiled quickly before heading back to my room. It was getting late and I was finding myself feeling quite tired, I picked up my book to read and lost myself to the pages.
