Skylar shifted slightly under Alex's arm, he positioned himself to be facing more towards Alex. "They're gonna be mad aren't they." Sky said, looking down at Alex. Damn he's beautiful. Sky dropped his hand that was playing with Alex's hair and ran it down Alex's arm slowly. He followed his hand with his eyes, lighting grazing a finger on Alex's arm. Once he reached Alex's hand he stopped and rested it on his before looking back at his face. "Thank you for staying." Sky said softly with a small smile. There was so much he wanted to say, he wanted to say he was sorry a million times, but also to tell Alex he was so beautiful right then and there. ' Now that Sky was awake, everything became real again. The cops, his mom, rehab. Skylar was not happy about it at all, but at least he had Alex by his side... for now. Sky sighed and got up, reaching over Alex for his phone. He took a deep breath before turning it on. There was many missed called and messages from his mom. He didn't bother to read all of them before typing. "Hey mom, I'm fine I will be home soon. I had to clear my head so I spent the night at Chris's." He hit send after rereading what he wrote. He thought that was good enough, but what else could he say. He was getting tired of saying sorry to everyone, and sorry didn't make anything better anyways. He sighed and set his phone down, then he returned his attention and gaze to Alex. ' "Okay, Well Ive got to shower. I'll just be a sec." Sky said with a smile. He moved Alex's arm with ease and crawled over him to get off the bed. Sky knew Chris wouldn't mind him borrowing some clothes so he grabbed a teeshirt and some sweats of his. Just as he was making his way to the door he stopped in his tracks and then turned around. He smiled and walked back over to Alex. "You're so beautiful." Sky said quietly as he leaned in for a kiss. The kiss was a quick on and he was back on his way out the door. ' |

It was some surprise to Alex that he wasn't withdrawing his arm from where it rested on Skylar's chest or pulling back and away from him entirely. As Skylar shifted beneath his arm, turning so that he was better facing him, Alex became acutely aware of each movement he made, each shift of his muscles as he turned toward him. He felt his heart skip a beat as he looked at him, the sun shining in through the window behind him seemed to illuminate his body, making him appear almost otherworldly. The sight nearly stole Alex's breath away and he found himself, surprisingly, having to remind himself to breathe. Unable to look away, Alex simply stared, taking in the vision before him. It was when Skylar spoke that he was pulled from his thoughts. He paused briefly and glanced away before managing a slight shrug. ` "They'll calm down once I explain things." Though he was saying it, he honestly doubted that would be the case. His parents were stern and strict, his father especially. He ruled his family with an iron fist, and while he made it clear that he loved his wife and children, he also wasn't one to tolerate disobedience or disrespect. Alex, by not phoning in and letting his parents know where he was, why he wasn't coming home, and by abruptly ending his phone call with his father last night, he'd done both. His father was bound to be furious, and he had no doubt that some strict punishment and well-thought-out consequence awaited him when he got him. Skylar didn't need to know about that though, didn't need to be concerned or feel guilty about something that wasn't his fault. When Skylar thanked him, Alex paused his eyes widening a little in surprise before he smiled and shook his head. "Thank you for letting me stay." He responded softly, and he meant it. ` If Skylar had been adamant that Alex leave, and had refused the support and comfort that he had wanted to give him, then there really wouldn't have been anything he could do, no matter how much he might have wished it. Because Skylar had allowed him to stay and had chosen to trust and rely on him, even if only a little bit, Alex felt as though he were able to help, to be of some use to the male before him in a time when he'd needed someone. ` When Skylar stated that he needed to shower Alex gave a slight nod. Quite honestly he was sure he needed to freshen up as well, but he figured he'd wait until he was home. Things would already be tense enough between him and his parents, he didn't want to have to explain why he was wearing someone else's clothes as well. "Okay." He said softly with a nod and, after Skylar was up and moving toward the door, he rolled onto his side to watch him go. Again, Alex found himself surprised at the act, at how naturally it came to him. Because he was reflecting on it, he hadn't really noticed, or rather registered, that Skylar had stopped upon nearing the door only to turn around and walk back over to him. It wasn't until he heard his voice telling him that he was beautiful, and then felt Sky's lips on his own that he was pulled from his thoughts and became fully aware of the present. ` Eyes widening in surprise and breath catching in his throat, Alex hardly had time to register what had happened before Skylar was turning and moving back toward the door. He felt his cheeks warming, a bright red blush presenting itself as his heart stammered hurriedly in his chest. Without thinking he swiftly rolled onto his other side so that his back was to the door and pulled the sheets up to his face in an attempt to hide the blush, though there was no one in the room to notice it. |

Upon reaching the bathroom, he started the water and locked the door. After pulling his underwear off he put a hand under the running water to test the temperature. Immediately he flinched and pulled back because the water was scorching hot. He twistest the knob down a bit and waited a moment before testing the temperature again. Hoping in the shower, he got his whole body wet immediately, including his hair. He let out a deep breath, letting his arms drop to his side as relaxation rippled through his body. After a moment of pure relaxation and calmness, he opened his eyes. Looking around the shower it didn't take him long to find some shampoo. He washed his hair thoroughly, he wanted to feel extra clean after this shower. He felt so dirty, not even because of actually being dirty but because of all the stuff that's happened. It was like washing a bloodstain out of a white sheet. He scrubbed and scrubbed, but nothing could get rid of the memories from last night. ' After a good 10 minutes in the shower, he got out dripping wet. Grabbing the closest towel he dried his hair before wrapping the towel around his waist. But then he looked at the pile of clothes on the ground. He could just get changed in here, he had forgotten. He unwrapped the towel and began to dry his body before putting on his clothes. He had grabbed a black teeshirt with a random band on it, and some plain grey sweatpants. After putting on the clothes he gave his hair another dry, ensuring he wouldn't be dripping water anywhere. ' For some odd reason he was excited to see Alex again even though its only been 10 minutes or so. Sky opened the bathroom door and made his way back to Chris's room. As he passed Chris he stopped since he was awake now. "I'll be heading out soon, thank you again." Sky said quietly. "It's all good. You still have to let me know what happened, but it's okay if you cant right now." Chris replied. It made Sky think for a moment. Did he want to tell Chris right now? Not really. "Thanks." Sky said with a light smile before continuing to walk to Chris's room. When he opened the door he smiled upon seeing Alex. He then walked over to the bed, throwing the wet towel in Chris's laundry bin as he did so. Sitting down on the edge of the bed, he then turned to look at Alex. Sky gave him a soft smile and just examined the boy. |

Alex wasn't sure how long he lay there, the sheets pulled up to hide burning cheeks from view and his heart racing so quickly in his chest it was almost painful. It could have been a few seconds or several minutes until he finally seemed to regain some semblance of control of his body. Urging his racing heart to calm itself he drew in a deep breath, and held it few a few seconds, before slowly letting it out. It had just been a kiss... it wasn't like it had been the first time Skylar had kissed him. You're so beautiful. The moment that Alex had started to fully calm down from the surprise, those words presented themselves. He could practically hear Skylar's calm and soothing voice uttering them. Instantly, the heart that had only just started to slow quickened and he felt his cheeks warming once again. ` In one swift motion, he sat up, throwing the sheets off of himself as he did so. "Get ahold of yourself, Alex." He muttered quietly to himself. Lifting his hands he cupped his cheeks in his palms and shook his head. What was wrong with him? He hadn't ever responded or reacted like this to anything anyone had said to him before... It didn't take long for him to be reminded that he hadn't allowed himself to get romantically involved with anyone he was really interested in before. Of course, he would react differently now that he was actually engaging in a relationship with a guy, with Skylar, someone he was coming to like a great deal. ` At the sound of Skylar's voice, followed by Chris' filtering into the room, Alex was quick to pull his hands from his face and let them rest in his lap. He looked toward the door briefly before turning his gaze to the window, willing that whatever remained of the blush to disappear from view. He swallowed thickly as he listened to the sound of someone moving down the hall and toward the room. It was only when he heard the sound of Skylar, who else would it have been, entering the room that Alex looked over at him. He took in the sight of him, the black shirt with the band name and logo, the gray sweatpants, and his slightly damp hair. Lifting his blue hues to Skylar's he watched as the male moved over to the bed, and then offered him a small smile upon seeing him sit down. ` For several seconds, Alex said nothing, instead letting the relative silence remain unbroken between them as he looked up at Skylar. He kept the smile on his lips as he gazed at him. Then, without being fully aware of his actions, he lifted a hand to brush aside some of Skylar's hair, as he did so he let his fingertips graze lightly over Sky's temple, his blue hues never once leaving Sky's brilliant green gaze. |

With his gaze fixed on Skylar's face, Alex was quick to notice when his cheeks began to redden with a blush. He paused momentarily at the sight before he smiled faintly. "Hmm?" He hummed quietly upon hearing Skylar quietly say his name. The way in which he said it, how it was hardly more than a whisper sent a thrill through Alex and made his heart skip a beat. He was surprised to find that he quite liked the sound of his name on Skylar's tongue, spoken in such a hushed whisper. When he felt Skylar's hand come to rest on his leg he let his gaze drop from Sky's own for a moment. Swallowing thickly he watched as Skylar's hand slowly trailed up his leg, stopping once it reached his upper thigh. His heart, in response to such an act, began to beat wildly in his chest, and Alex swiftly lifted his blue hues to Skylar's eyes once more. He felt his breath catch when he noticed Sky's gaze dropping to his lips only to return to his blue gaze a few seconds later. ` Alex felt a small tremor of trepidation at the contact, at the gaze, at the way Skylar's eyes dropped to his lips twice. However, it was easily overridden by a thrilling sense of want. Swallowing thickly, Alex bit at his lower lip before he let his own gaze drop to Skylar's lips. He paused a moment and then moved to lean toward Skylar. As he neared him and once their lips were a mere few inches from touching he lifted his gaze back up to Skylars. There was a hint of uncertainty in his expression as if he wasn't sure whether he was doing the right thing by leaning in toward Skylar. ((It was amazing!! My post on the other hand... I couldn't seem to get my brain to work while writing this. >.> So I'm afraid it's both poorly written and short. Sorry about that.)) |

Sky watched closely to Alex's every move. As every second passed, there wasn't one where he didn't want Alex's lips against his own. He yearned for his lips, his touch. When Sky noticed Alex start to lean in his heart jumped, but his excitement was soon killed when a look of uncertainty flashed in Alex's eyes. Sky knew he was probably just scared, or nervous to kiss him, so he leaned in too, showing him it was okay. He then closed his eyes, parting his lips and leaning in for the kiss. The kiss was slow to begin. It made the blush on Sky's cheek go bright red. His heart began to beat faster than ever, and in a flash, he wanted to go further. He continued to kiss him, getting more intense and passionate. Leaning in further, he put pressure on Alex's thigh and gave it a small squeeze before moving it up a little. He then quickly moved it back because he didn't want Alex to get uncomfortable and he pulled away. He looked away immediately, slightly embarrassed. He took a shaky deep breath in, catching his breath. (Yours is fine! But same, I cannot think right now Im doing school as well as this so my brain is not working) |

Alex wanted to kiss Skylar, he knew that much and he felt that Sky felt the same way, considering how often he'd glanced down at his lips. That knowledge eased some of the uncertainty he felt, and when Skylar leaned forward and then closed the distance between their lips in one fluid movement, Alex paused. His eyes widened ever so slightly in surprise but he was quick to relax, his eyes falling closed as he leaned into the kiss and returned it. His heart was racing, thundering loudly within his chest. He could hardly believe he was doing this, that he was completely and entirely okay with it, that he wanted more and didn't want it to end. As the kiss grew more heated and passionate, Alex ignored the small flicker of panic and worry that sparked within him. He ignored the way part of his mind demanded he pull back and away from Skylar. He didn't want to. It was only when he felt Skylar's hand move up on his thigh a little more and give a squeeze that he stiffened, the spark of panic growing until it wasn't something he could easily ignore. ` It was almost immediately after his muscles went rigid with tension that Skylar was pulling back. Alex wasn't sure right then what he felt more, relieved or upset. He swallowed thickly and bit at his bottom lip slightly as he looked at Skylar. "Sky?" Alex asked softly after a few moments. He wasn't exactly sure why Skylar had pulled back from the kiss so abruptly or why he'd so swiftly removed his hand from his thigh. If it was because he'd felt Alex tense, he didn't want him to think that he had done anything wrong. Because as far as Alex was concerned he hadn't. ((Same, finishing up my calculus homework. >.> It's killing me. lol)) |

Skylar swallowed thickly, feeling a rush of warmth flood his cheeks. The blush that had been red from arousal was now from embarrassment. The moment Alex spoke, Skylar instinctively glanced his way, but as soon as their eyes connected, he felt an overwhelming urge to look away, as if the intensity of his gaze was too much to bear. “Yeah?” Sky managed to respond softly, his voice barely rising above a whisper. He straightened his back slightly, a nervous gesture meant to give himself some semblance of confidence. Skylar’s mind raced with a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions. Mustering every ounce of courage he had, he turned his head to face Alex fully, finally locking eyes with him. His heart nearly jumped out of his chest, but he continued to hold eye contact. He ached to close the gap between them again. The desire surged within him, a strong, primal urge to lay Alex back on the bed and lose himself in the sweetness of a kiss that had lingered unfulfilled in his mind for far too long. But despite wanting this so badly, Sky knew it wasn't the right time or place. Skylar felt his pulse quicken with frustration in knowing he couldn't fulfill his desires. But when would it ever feel like the right time? That nagging question echoed in his mind, relentless and unyielding. The air around them was thick with tension, and it was eating Sky whole. Each flicker of Alex’s expression, each soft movement, seemed to draw Skylar in deeper, amplifying the ache in his chest. (Really sucky...) |

Alex's heart was still beating rapidly and as he drew in a few deep breaths in an attempt to calm it, he kept his gaze on Sky. He studied him, noting the way his cheeks held a blush, and how he continued to look away from him, save for a quick glance. He frowned a little at that and remained quiet for a few moments after hearing Skylar respond. He studied him, watching the way his back straightened, taking note of how it seemed to take every ounce of willpower and courage he had to turn his head and, finally, look at him. Alex let himself search Skylar's eyes, trying to read and decipher every emotion visible. Many he found mirrored his own. Despite the panic and nervousness he'd felt only moments ago, Alex wanted to close the distance between them and kiss Skylar once more. Instead, he remained still and silent for a while yet, his gaze never leaving Skylars. ` After what felt like several minutes of simply studying one another, of taking in everything about Skylar that he could, Alex shifted on the bed. He glanced down at his hands, resting in his lap before looking up at him once again. "Why..." He trailed off, finding himself unsure if he should pose the question, unsure if he was prepared for the answer or response he would be given. Looking away he bit at his lip once more before clearing his throat. "Why did you stop...?" He managed, the question coming out a hushed whisper. He could feel his heartbeat quicken and felt his cheeks warming with a blush the moment he'd asked. What he was thinking, why he felt like he needed to know that, he wasn't exactly sure. It had been smart of Skylar to stop before it continued into anything more. After all, now wasn't the right time considering all that had happened, and where they were. Or at least, that's what Alex told himself to try and quiet and push away all the emotions he was feeling. |
