Skylar's eyes looked up as Rome spoke. He smiled just a little bit, looking up at the handsome boy. "Hi." He said quietly, but the room was so quiet it seemed loud. Okay, fuck it... I will give this guy a chance. There was just something about him that made him worth trying. Things can either work out or they don't, there's only one way to find out. Just do it. Sky stood up with some hesitation before making his way closer to Rome. "So you have art." He said with a smile as he leaned on the same desk Rome was sitting on. This time he was less nervous talking to him, but still, Rome made him nervous in a different way. Sky looked up at Rome. Ugh that smile, he seems almost perfect. Okay, I can't be thinking like this, we've only just met. What if he's just talking to me as a joke since I'm the new guy? Okay just stop overthinking, just be friends and see where that takes us. Skylar then examined the boy yet again, looking him up and down. Almost everything about him screamed hot, except for his friends and his reputation. |

┌── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──┐ Rome raised an eyebrow to Skys enthusiastic greeting. Rome didn't know much about this kid, he'd rarely seen him around with a group of people. So there goes judging off of his friend group. After a bit he'd direct his attention to Sky as he approached him. Here comes the boy.. his face lit up with excitement. " Ahh, no I have a free period and I usually spend my time her haha. I'll assume this is your current class though?" he motioned his arms around to emphasize this large and empty room. Out of all the spaces and spots Sky could be in this room, he was by him. This thought sent him into a slight panic of unease. Skylars smile was to die for. Rome hadn't seen it often but when he does.. it surely could light up a room. He's looking at me again.. he's looking up, He couldn't put a pin in why he liked it so much, but if was a lovely thought. Sky was everything to Rome in this moment. As a friend? (Stop not the eh, agh my responses will be shorter since they are interacting so sorry for that) "Yeah, this is my class, next period is my free period." Sky said, this time with more ease. Maybe he could skip with me, Sky thought, although he probably wouldn't ask him. He smiled every so slightly before Rome started speaking again. Sky moved back at his comment. "This better." He teased back, still looking at him smiling. Okay fuck, was that too gay, well I am gay so. His eyes made their way to some students now walking in then back to Rome. He wasn't moving though, he stayed standing there. |

Skylars face lit up and Rome smiled back until Skylar backed away. What. The. Fuck... he panicked. Romes cool guy character began to falter. He couldn't help himself but reacting. "What? No no I liked it far better when you were closer. Or. Like I-. You know-. Fuck you, stay where you are" he blurted out rappidly. The words poured straight out of his mouth. What was wrong with Rome. Why did he just panic over something so small. Rome extended a hand to Sky for a quick second before freezing up and laughing awkwardly, and then finally clearing his throat. |

(the literal definition of gay panic) Skylar blushed slightly at his reaction to him moving back. He looked at Romes hand impulsively taking it while taking a step closer. He looked back up gently, "Is this better." His words were soft and almost flirty. "You can skip and hang with me if you want, I will probably just go home or something." He added as he glanced over at the teacher that was now arriving at class. He glanced back down at their hands before letting go. Fuck, why would I invite him to my house, we would be completely alone and why would I grab his hand we just fucking met... You fucking idiot. Panic filled his body as his eyes widened a bit but he shrugged it off to appear cool. |

(This is so cute on both ends BAHHA) ┌── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──┐ Rome didn't move or say a word. Nothing else mattered, he was holding his hand. He's.. holding my hand. And that voice.. I like it, he thought. Sky was close again. Rome wasn't sure what to do, sure he's flirted with multiple people countless times. Hell, he's had a girlfriend before. But.. with another man? Rome stuttered a bit, every passing second of panic making him irritable. "I-I- uh.. You.. I'd like that. I'll make time for it, becuase you know i'm like- i'm.. i'm Rome and stuff".Skylers flirt game was on point. Rome was gobsmacked and was unsure how to respond. Once he felt Skys warmth leave his hand, he responded passive aggresively. "Sure. Don't fuck up your only chance.. don't go blabbering your mouth either, or who knows what'll happen to you. Ya hear?" he asked coldly, but a faint waver of embarrasment and fear peaked through. |

(Only gonna get messier from here!) Sky's face dropped from the cold comment of the boy. He stared at him with utter disgust but tried not to show it. What a fucking jerk, whatever. "Come or don't, It doesn't matter." Sky said bluntly as he turned around and sat down at his desk. He sighed and put his head down. Why was he so rude, after I just invited him into my home? I knew he was going to be difficult, but I can make this work okay, don't give up now. He stayed having his head down, for the remainder of class. Once the bell rang he quickly got up and he was out the door. He only gave Rome a quick glance. He walked to his locker which was close to the art room and grabbed his backpack. He didn't look back and left the school. I'm sure if he really wants to hang with me he will follow me. |

┌── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──┐ Romes brows furrowed in response to Skys reaction. He wanted this so bad but he didn't like it. This feeling was overwhelming, and he's working with it as best he can.. no he wasn't. Rome was such an ass for no reason. All for what? A reputation. Gotta do what I gotta do.. he thought. Many questions for himself and harsh judgmental comments swurled in his head. It was almost like a burning self hatred. During the remainder of his free period he weaved together s sweater, it was in the shape of a crop top due to the unfishied portion left. When the bell rung Romes eyes instantly darted over to Sky. To his surprise the boy left rather fast. Rome stayed behind for a moment or so before packing up and hauling ass to find Sky. Every bone in his body wanted this, his heart as well. But none of it felt real.. or right. |

Sky was just a bit from one of the benches so he decided to sit there before leaving. Maybe he will come find me and want to go, maybe not... I will still wait a bit. Sky decided if he doesn't show up for 5 minutes just leave. There would be no point in waiting for him and why would he? He wanted him to come over, then maybe they could get to know each other more. He wanted that almost to the point where he wanted to go find him. Why wouldn't he want that sexy person in his room, alone with him? His mom doesn't get home till 6 and that would mean they would have a lot of time. How much closer could they grow in that time, only the future knows. |

Each person who bothered him before his leave, contributed and became a victim to passive aggresive behavior. Rome believed he had to do whatever it takes to get something done. By any means possible, he thought. Rome pushed on the door leading to outside, where all of the benches reside and garbage left from the previous periods lunch. Fucking gross, he thought. Rome was big on hygiene and clean areas. His backpack hit one of the bins as he scanned the area for any witnesses. Witnesses, yeah right.. he was looking for Sky and Sky only. Within a couple of seconds Rome found him and began approaching him quickly. Brows furrowed but his face bore guilt and nervousness. |
