Aelia smiled at Ava and bent a little to give Randy some long pets. She loved animals, felt her connection to them through nature, though Randy felt a bit different somehow, more.. aware than most cats she'd met. A few had tried talking to her, but she'd never understood fully, part of her mixed, tainted blood of course. Courtesy of her dead mother. "It truly is a beautiful basket, I've been using it for all sorts of things just in this past week alone. Flowers mostly, and herbs too, for my teas." Making tea was almost like a pastime for Aelia, plus she got teh added affect of more energy or being able to sleep better. Lavender tea had always been her weakness, just a hint of it in any tea would make her go out cold. It was useful for when she was sick or anxious and couldn't sleep. Which was why she'd been making it all week. Aelia's face brightened at the word bread. It had been so delicious, she had to get more. She didn't know when the next time she'd be able to come would be, so she really needed to stock up. "Of course! Everything was so delicious Mis- I mean Ava." Aelia flinched, she really couldn't get the hang of the peasant way of addressing others. It should be a relief, but it just reminded her about how she would never be normal. Especially with her mixed blood. "And the blueberries sound wonderful as well. I haven't had fresh blueberries in a very long time." Aelia reached up to tuck her hair behind her ear before quickly putting her hand down. Her pointed ears would give her away, she'd specifically done her hair in a half up, half down way that hid the tips of her ears so you couldn't see how they were pointed instead of rounded. If she had moved her hair, she would have immediately revealed herself to not be fully human.

Ava looked oddly at Lia, her actions seemed very purposeful, and like she had to remind herself not to touch her hair. She shrugged to herself, and half-watched Randy strut away to hide under the wagon, where it was cooler. "Wonderful! I am very glad it is useful to you - and now it can hold more bread. How many loaves do you want? And packages of blueberries? And there is also still jam and strawberries." Ava paused, looking at the blueberries curiously, "Do you think blueberry jam would taste good?" Ava was always looking for new items to sell. The bread was always her best seller, but her fruits were definitely being bought as well.

Aelia avoided Ava's gaze after her almost screw up, thankfully the other woman quickly changed topics. At the mention of how much, Aelia paused, how much did she need? Technically, the bread had been gone rather quickly last time, and she'd missed it the whole time she did not have it. She wondered how fast the bread went bad, as all bread did go bad at some point. She'd have to ask before making her final decision. "I've had blueberry jam before and it was wonderful then, I'm sure with your talent with jam it'll be even better." Aelia smiled, lost in thought for a moment before continuing. "I was wondering, as this will decide how many loaves I buy, how quickly does your bread go bad? As I've had other breads go bad within a week of purchase, or turn stale after four days. Do you have any time frame for your bread? For I know not when I might be able to return and would like to stock up now just in case I do not return for a while." It was true, Aelia's days were being filled to the brim with suitors, choosing advisers for when she was Queen, and finding solutions to problems throughout her kingdom. Plus, the added knowledge that she would be hated by many during her days as Queen. Hopefully, people would see past her pointed ears and odd eyes and judge her more on her leadership skills. But humans were cruel, ruthless creatures, and she was sure that she'd get much retaliation during her time as Queen.

Ava nodded, making a mental note to try blueberry jam. If anything, she'd make a few of them next time, and test how the product sold. If it didn't sell well, she'd make a few packages just for Lia, "Well, if you keep the bread in a breadbox, and keep it covered, then it'll last five or so days? The older it gets the less fresh it will be." Ava had never had someone ask her the time frame of her bread. It was odd, but, Ava supposed, it did make sense.

Aelia winced, she'd been hoping it would last a little longer as she didn't know when she'd return. Regardless, she still planned on getting five loaves, one for each day, maybe a little longer if she could stretch it out and it didn't get moldy. Plus a bit more jam and such definitely wouldn't hurt. "Oh, that was probably an odd question huh? Sorry, I um, I don't know when I'll be able to return really. I'm quite busy right now, and I fear that it may be a long while till I have the opportunity to come back. Anyways, because of that, can I take five loaves, a jar of jam and some blueberries?" Aelia smiled, reaching into her tiny satchel and pulling out a coin pouch, the coins rattling against each other.

Ava gathered up the items Lia had requested, and helped her load them into the basket. If Ava stood there for a few seconds longer than necessary, or let her hands linger as she placed the food inside, she didn't mention it, or recognize what she was doing. Ava named the price of it all, and let Lia count out the coins, "I hope you'll be able to return soon - I hope the bread lasts long, and the fruit is good." Aelia smiled as she worked with Ava to put the bread away. The money part though, seemed to produce a.. problem. Technically, she didn't know how much each coin was worth. Last time she hadn't bought much, and sort of just assumed the price and handed it over, this time, it was a lot, and she knew not how much to hand over. After a moment of indecision, she gave Ava sixteen coins, which in total was around $100 (in our time, more so then) not sure if she'd given to little. "I hope so as well, though it is doubtful I will return next week or the week after. I will come back as soon as I can. And I'm sure it will all be wonderful." Lia beamed, the basket on her arm beautifully designed and bringing a pop to her bland, itchy outfit.

Ava counted three money and gaped at Lia, giving her back more than half the coins, "Lia, that is way too much. That is enough to buy my whole cart and my spiteful donkey." Buford looked up as though he had been summoned, then, seeing that he wasn't needed, dropped his head back down to eat hay. "If you ever go shopping anywhere else, please let me come with you. A lot of people would have let you overpay, or scam you out of your money," Ava didn't want this innocent and kind person to be fooled by any of the greedy bastards that sold items in the market.

Aelia looked shocked as Ava gave her back so much of the money. She had thought it wasn't enough, not to much, her jaw dropped at the amount Ava returned. So maybe she should know her own kingdom's currencies but she'd never had to shop on her own, which was why she'd never been taught it all. Technically, it wasn't her fault, though she could tell you all the stars in the night sky by name, she wasn't very good at.. human things. It would probably be easier if she was human. "O-oh, I didn't know honestly, sorry. My bad, but if you are willing to go shopping with me some time then I'm perfectly fine with that." Aelia smiled, she really liked this woman, she was sweet and kind, and didn't really seem to care for the material things in life, something Aelia would probably never understand, with her pampered lifestyle and all.

Ava nodded her head firmly, "Then consider it a promise. If there is a day you'd like to go shopping, come to my stall later on. Most of my goods would have been sold by then, so I'd be free to go. If anything, there's a little girl who helps her Ma at the tailors. She'd be willing to watch my stall for a few coins." Ava pocketed the money. She wasn't sure if Lia had any interest in shopping today, but Ava wouldn't mind dropping everything to help the stranger out.
