Rowan did not have a keen sense of hearing. She had sharp eyes, making her good with a bow, but unless someone was yelling really loud, she wouldn't hear something from far away. What Rowan mostly used as her ears were her horses, whose own ears flickered to any sound. But right now, Rowan was alone, and it was the vibration in the Earth that alerted her of another presence.

The faeries quickly edged towards the border and the surrounding forest. Suddenly quiet as they tried to use their excellent senses to locate anyone or anything. It was Laura who stopped them when she spotted a young woman who had a dimmed aura. It was odd, but she could be suppressing her powers to confuse them. She waved her people away and they created a circle around her to watch. If she even touched the border again, they would reveal themselves and verify if she was a threat or not.

Rowan looked directly into the woods. She could sense a strong presence - how? She did not know. "I know someone is watching me. Your landing gave it away. Faeries I'm guessing? A... a monster wouldn't wait to kill me." Rowan quipped. Her soldier side was coming out - wanting direct confrontation instead of hiding.

Laura wasn't too surprised by the girl's voice, if she had even the slightest bit of magic she should be able to feel a powerful magic user. The older woman revealed herself, blonde hair limp and lifeless and shadows danced under her dim blue eyes. Despite all that, she still looked fierce, her bow aimed straight at the younger girl. A green mark pulsed with dim yellow light on her arm, much like Alvaro's. "What is it you want child? We don't take visitors kindly, especially the magic kind. Not right now. Either state your business or I'll be forced to bring you back to our lady." Laura didn't want to do this, not today, but it was her job. She kept the guys back, not wanting to give away her back up plan too quickly.

Rowan eyed the bow. Even if the woman wasn't the best with a bow, she'd be able to shoot her at least once before Rowan was able to get her bow. "As far as I'm aware, I don't really have any magic. And my business? I guess I wanted to see the place I almost died yesterday. Call me foolish." Rowan shrugged.

"Yes it was foolish, very actually. You've come at a very bad time child. I'm afraid that I'm going to have to take you back for questioning. Kori doesn't like people knowing where the border is. And even if you don't know it would be best to make sure you aren't some kind of monster." The woman said the word with a particular amount of hatred which was different from her dedicated restraint she had shown before. With a flick of her head, the two other faeries appeared from the woods. Looking at the young girl with caution. She was still young, Laura could feel her magic though. Even if she denied it. "Please drop your weapons ma'am, we don't want a fight but if it comes to that we will win." Laura's voice was steady now, her wings forming on her back, their intricate design flowing into existence.

Rowan shrugged, "Sure. And if it turns out I'm actually... I dunno... safe? could I have them back?" Rowan handed over her bow and arrows, her sword, her three hunting knives, a staff she was using as a walking stick worth a sharp point, two small knives, and a small rope coiled on her waist. "I would hand over my fists too, but I kinda like having hands."

"Of course," Laura replies as the young girl took out weapon after weapon. The two guys watched with wide eyes, surprise lighting their eyes. They had never seen so many weapons on one body. Laura, being the oldest, had seen almost all of this before though never on such a small female. "Anything else?" She asked with a sarcastic grin before throwing the knives, and staff at the guys who caught the items with subtle ease. They stored the items in their packs and Laura slung the bow and arrows on her other arm. The well established grace in her movements evident. "Walking to camp take to long. So, the guys will be flying you there." The guys she spoke of let their own delicate wings appear, both had marks on their forearms.

Rowan held up a hand, "Wait." The girl pulled out a pair of gloves veeery carefully, and held them out. "Gloves with spikes on the knuckles, coated in deadly poisons," and then her jacket, "blowgun and sleeping darts in the pockets."

Even Laura seemed slightly impressed by these two things. With quick fingers she snatched up the gloves and shoved them into her pack then took out the weapons in the jacket and shoved them into her pack too. "Anything else that I need to know about before you accidentally murder one of my people." One of the guys snickered softly but was quickly shoved in order to shut up.
