By the time they had gotten back to the base, Wyatt was a little irritable. He wanted food and at this point he didn't care very much if the had to eat with strangers or not, along as he got food. Liri had got a little tense as they were led to the lunch area. Being around the entire group of soldiers was a big change from just the three handlers. But she wasn't going to let herself start to panick. As long as no one tried to approach or talk to her, she'd be fine. Sort of. She never was able to do well around a crowd of strangers, but atleast she was better than she had once been.

Delta was tense, quiet, and observent as they walked into the lunch area full of all the soldiers. He had his guard up like he always did when he was around new people, he did give some glares when some soldiers got too close to the room as the guards led them to a table. They sat down at the table as other guards had brought them their food and stood on guard.
Their lunch table was against the wall, so Liri, Emerald, Sombra, and Emery were sitting on the inside while Delta and Wyatt sat on the outside of the table. Delta had made it this way so that he could keep a good eye on the soldiers that walked passed, with Wyatt's help of course.
Emerald leaned against the wall when she sat down, she was sitting next to Emery. As soon as the food was placed down she sat up happily, "About time" She said in releif. Emerald started to eat after being hesitent for moments, to her surprise...the food wasn't actually that bad.

Even Wyatt, despite being hungry, actually remained alert for once as he started eating. Keeping a wary eye on whoever might pass by. There were alot of curious glances in their direction. Despite being rather tense, to a stranger he would look relaxed and focused on his food. Emery had become a little quieter than she normally would be , but still put on a smile and said thank you when she got her food. Managing to eat even though she was a bit nervous. Liri was at first too tense to eat, picking at her food. There was alot of noise going around in the room and also alot of people. It took her a while, but she eventually managed to ease up and actually start eating her food.

Sombra did his best to act normal, he had his guard up but he was also very nervous. Besides just being around this new crowd of people they were suppose to trust in the future, they were also getting some stares and he could bet that they were being talked about. He started to eat his food slowly just so he could distract himself from everything, as distractions are what helped him whenever he felt nervous.
Emerald could tell everyone was nervous and tense or at least on alert. She didn't want them to have a silent lunch, since they usually always had some kind of conversation when they ate. Maybe it would be a good distraction for everyone, "So..." She said speaking up, "What did everyone think of the training?" Emerald asked.

Emery perked up slightly at the chance of conversation. The silence had been uncomfortable compared to what their meals were normally like. "There was definetly quite a bit of confusion, but I think we got better towards the end" she decided after thinking a moment, "And the dogs didn't seem too bothered really once things got going." Overall, she had found it a little stressful, but after a few rounds she had gotten over the nerves and managed to focus on her rob. Liri gladly pulled herself out of her thoughts to listen to the starting conversation. Maybe it would distract her from being so tense. "Yeah, it seemed like communication was one of the biggest issues" she added to what Emery said, remembering the moments of frustration when something was misunderstood and things went wrong.

"I can agree on that" Emerald said, happy that Liri and Emery responded in kind to her chance at conversation. "I didn't realize that we communicated so silently with each other most of the time" She said to them, "It comes so natural that I never thought about it being a problem, but I am glad we were able to get use to not doing it"
"I'm just happy that there weren't any accidents with that dogs that could have caused us to shift" Sombra said as he joined the comversation. Wyatt and Delta seemed to stay quiet, he assumed they were just watching the soldiers but were still listening to what they were saying. "And it did feel off to communicate that much but I think it was a good learning experience" He said.

"Yeah, it was definetly a good learning experience" Emery said with a slight nod, "It is a bit uncomfortable though, messed up the concentration a little when you have to say things all the time" Emery said. There was a few that she had either messed what she was saying with what was actually happening, it had been frustrating. Liri nodded slightly in agreemant to what Emery said. "And I think it would have been a mess if there had been some sort of insident with the dogs" she added to what Sombra said. She was really glad none of them had lost control or something despite all the stress and frustration that had been going on. Wyatt finished his lunch a bit slower than he normally would and once he did, he settled back to calmly watch what was happening around them and listen to the conversation going on at their table.

"Yeah, gotta agree with you on that" Sombra said to both of them, with them working on communicating a different was hard enoungh. Having someone turn would have been a bit stressful in his opinion, he took a bite of his food before speaking. "Though I suspect we'll be working with the handlers and dogs until were perfect at that kind of communication" Sombra said as he thought more about it, it made sense to learn about how to better communicate with everyone else who wasn't part of their friend group before they would do combat training around others.
"At least we'll get a few easy days, I've kinda been avoiding thinking about a real battle" Emerald said with a nervous laugh. rubbing the necklace that was still on her wrist just in case, "I'd honestly take training at the start over that right now" She said, smiling just a little bit.

"We'll face that when we get there" Emery said gently with a small smile, noticing how nervous Emerald seemed to about it. It was defintely a terrifying thought. Actual combat would be very different from training. And it would be putting their lives far more at risk too. But, like Emerald, she was trying not to think about it yet. Hopefully they'd get a couple more days of training to adjust to working with the other soldiers. Having noticed the conversation taking a turn towards a more stressful subject, Wyatt stepped in to try steer the group away from it gently. They didn't need to be talking about stressful things right now. "Ever wonder if there are other of our kind out there that are...naturally occuring?" He asked sort of absent mindedly, still focused on watching their surroundings. Okay, maybe not as gently as he had hoped, but hopefully it was off topic enough to catch them off guard and lighter the mood a little.

Sombra was definetly caught off guard by Wyatt's question, even Delta had an awkward look on his face before going back to watching the soldiers. "H-huh...well...Not thats possibly" He answered, "We got our abilities from a lab experiment, so if there is something like that naturally occuring...I just hope the scientist don't find them" He said as he thought, they were werewolves but they weren't the kind that stood on two legs whenever they shifted.
"I'd place my bet on no" Emerald said after smiling at Emery. "If something like that was out there, I think we'd know about...or it would be in folklore" She said as she tried to think about it. "Aren't we basically living folklore?" Delta had said which pulled Emerald from her thoughts, "Yes I do beleive that we are" Emerald answered.
