As Sky was just beginning to fall asleep he jolted up, getting the urge to text Rome. He wanted to explain to him briefly so that he could understand a bit. "I'm sorry okay, but the thing is you don't know anything about my past. I'm sorry I pushed you away like that, but you were pushing it. I'm not ready to share my whole life story with you, we aren't there yet but I would eventually like to get there. I hope you understand a bit, but it's a very sensitive topic that I don't feel like sharing yet... Please understand that." He reread the text over and over again before just pressing send. He put his phone down, as he stared at the same wall again. He then waited for him to respond but assumed he wouldnt.

Rome shuffled, and tripped over his own feet while walking. His arms swung by his side, limp. His eyes were low and his mind was dazed. He was unsure what his problem was. "My parents or him.. " he thought dryly. The skin on his face was now ashy. The tears that rolled from his eyes were now dried and left ashy trails down his face. His eyes, nose and cheeks still red. His bottom lip seperated from his mouth as he breathed rugged and parched. *BZZ*! Rome blinked heavily before tossing his bag around in search of his phone. To be frank he wasn't in the mood to speak to anyone. " What if it's him ?" he thought to himself. Rome stood still at the thought. It made him happy somewhere deep down, but his mind was stronger than his heart. " Fuck it.. It can't be important. It's probably Ivory or mami ". He slung the bag across his shoulder givin up on the phone search. The wind blew into his face harder as he continued his walk. The sky grew darker and darker. Eventually Rome's legs needed a break. The boy looked around pen in hand before finding a quiet and dimly lit bar on the corner. He watched a few people come and go before leaning against the bar wall. His back met the bricks and then his head. Rome closed his eyes and slid down the wall, sitting on the sidewalk. He'd continue to puff at the pen, far more times than he really should. But who really gave a damn?

After a few minutes, Sky grabbed his phone and with that, he had no new notifications. Rome hasn't even seen the text yet. "Fuck." He said under his breath as he stared at the text message. He closed out of his messages and scrolled on some other app to clear his mind. It soon grew close to AM's and Rome hasn't texted him yet. He pulled up his contact and decided to shoot him another text. "Hey are you okay, did you make it home safe." Without hesitation he sent the text, hoping he would reply or at least see it. He then sent him a double text, hoping that would get his attention. That's if his ringer or vibration was on. "C'mon man, I'm worried." He set his phone down again as he began to overthink. What if he's not okay, what if he's not even home, what if he's hurting himself? I just want him to answer. Why do I have to fuck things up, maybe if I hadn't freaked out like that nothing would have happened! He put his face in his hands as he pulled his hair a bit.

*BZZ!* There it was. Rome felt his phone buzz n his bag again. His half lidded eyes opened and closed. He felt like he was going to pass out, maybe he'd taken too many hits and now it began to catch up to him. The music from inside of the bar echoed out onto th streets as the door opened and closed. Rome would get occasional glances from strangers either concerned or disapponted with his well-being. Rome's arms felt heavy, and limp. He didn't really want to look at his phone nore use it, but he wanted to know the time. Rome placed the nearly empty pen into his pocket but he missed everytime. He felt as if he was in an out of body experience. The time as 10:37 pm, and he'd recieved two messages from Sky. " What ? " he echoed. What did Sky want with him? The flash memory of him and Sky's last interaction made him wince a little. He didn't want to feel that anymore. " Gotta numb it " he said reaching for his pen. After a few more puffs he managed to read Sky's messages. He looked at them for a while trying his best to understand them with his over worked mind. His fingers fumbled around the keyboard as he typed a response. It wasn't going to be the worlds best respons after all, his head and body were surplusaged. "All guud. no i ain^t go home. Staped @ barr..,,.t" he struggled to type. He couldn't even manage to fix his mistakes as his eyes were closing. Rome hit send before his body limped upon across the bricks.

Sky's eyes darted to his phone as it lit up. He quickly picked it up, thankfully seeing Rome's contact on his screen. He opened the message and read it quickly. "Fuck, okay there's only one bar." Sky thought in a hurry as he quickly got up and ran out of his room. By this time his mom was already in bed and probably wouldn't be able to hear anything. He put on his shoes and darted out the front door. He then ran, yes ran to the only bar in town. As he arrived, out of breath, he saw Rome sitting down against the bar wall. "Fuck." He breathed as he made his way over to Rome. "Shit Rome, are you okay." Sky asked as he crouched down to his level, he also then lifted his chin up so he could see his face. Sky's face was filled with worry as he stared at Rome's eyes. He was high as shit, probably almost to the point where he would be greening or maybe he is. "C'mon we have to get you home or bring you back to my place though I think you would rather be at home." Sky then said as he stood up.

Rome grumbled and moaned. His body was not in the state to move. His eyes were heavy and the things he could see were *bizarre*. His mind had gone completely blank of problems as he'd indeed, green out. He could hardly focus and tell what was going on. How did he end up here..how did I let myself end up here? After a while he'd heard.. " Sky ? " he mumbled. Rome tried to lift up his head to see and listen to the boy but his head would just slump onto his right shoulder. His mouth was opened with a smile. Rome was breathing slowly out of his mouth as tears fell down his face again. His emotions over whelmed him since his thoughts couldn't. He wanted to lift his arm up but the most he could do was poke at the concrete with his pinky. " Shou- you-... your here ? " he managed to mumble.

Sky watched as the boy struggled to speak, let alone move. Thoughts raced through his mind, he didn't know what to do for the most part but he knew he could try. "Yes I'm here and we have to figure out how to get you someplace safe." Sky said softly. He wanted him to be safe, not passed out in front of a bar. "Ugh, what am I supposed to do." Sky groaned to himself as he sat down beside Rome. Sky was not confident that would be able to bring Rome someplace safe. He doesn't even know where Rome lives, and Rome is too fucked to say anything. "Fuck, Im going to have to bring him home." Sky thought as he put his face in his hands. "Okay, cmon we are going to bed." Sky said as he abruptly got up. He put his hands under his arms as he lifted him.

Rome's tears fell down his face slowly. He wish he could wipe them.. HELL even stop them. He sat around listening to Sky ramble aloud until he felt his weight shifting around. Sky managed to life Rome up. The boy struggled moving dearly, but he shuffled around slightly trying to distribute his weight off of Sky. " I can ge- walk maybe " he tried. Rome was a hot mess. He was in no situation to force independance. His clothes reeked of weed, and "outside". Romes wet eyes danced around dimly lit street as he waited for Sky to help him get moving. All of Romes limbs felt heavy to him, like they weren't his own.

"No, I'm helping you." Sky said as he began walking. He made sure to hold Rome tight and keep him as stable as he could. Eventually, they made it to Sky's house, and in one piece... well two? Sky opened the door with one hand as he guided Rome to his bedroom. "Fuck, do I put him in my room or on the couch?" Sky questions himself. "Fuck it." He said as opened his bedroom door. He brought Rome to the bed and sat him down gently. "Okay, now I need to take your shoes off then it's bedtime." Sky said as he grabbed one of his shoes and began undoing it.

After a while of stumbling and mumbling Rome was put onto Sky's bed. The air was warm and comforting compared to the air outside of the bar. Rome couldn't really speak how he wanted to, nor see... or even move he made an effor to speak. " Y- youu did n-OT have to rescue me " he breathed lolling his head to the side. He wanted to see Sky slightly better than he could. His heart and body ached of anger but his mind was mellow yet grateful.
