Irene turned her body to face Rome before getting more comfortable. "Yeah, that's fine." She said with a soft smile. Irene was happy that Sky had found this boy, though she doesn't know if he's trouble or not. Meanwhile, Sky was in his bed laying down with his cat. |

┌── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──┐ Rome nodded slowly before speaking, " My name is Rome Vaccarello and i'm 17 years old. I go to the same school as your son. Uhhm I come from an afro-hispanic home with two siblings.. " he trailed off. He felt as if he was giving her an entire play-by-play of his life. " Something Father wouldn't be fond " of he thought briefly. Rome then moved his hands from his pockets up to his neck. " I just want to be honest with you. I'm not sure how to explain it but i'm a completely straight guy, and *your son* fuc-.. fricked- screwe- uh, *messed* me up I suppose ". Rome batted his eyes as he searched for accurate but appropriate wording. " I haven't been the nicest to Sky of course, because what i'm going through is tough. I feel.. I have an ego problem? As long with at home issues and internalized high standards " he finished slowly. This had been the first time in years he'd came clean with his feelings and thoughts. Was he the best at explaining and expressing them?... no, but he tried. |

Irene listened as Rome gave her a whole speech. She was confused about why he decided to tell her this. "I get what you are trying to say, don't be playing with my boy's feelings. He's already been through enough. If you aren't into boys then don't do any further with him and come clean to him. But it does sound like you have an ego problem and the only person who can fix that is you my dear." Irene said, her words were soft and very well spoken. Irene was only trying to protect her baby, shes heard and seen some things she wish weren't true. |

┌── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──┐ Rome tapped his foot onto the ground steadily. His eyes following Miss Irene. Her voice seemed silky smooth and comforting. Rome enjoyed hearing the women speak. " I mean, I wouldn''t want to hurt him or cause more harm. I guess it is just me " he replied. Rome knew he was a problem, he had *too* many problems. He felt like talking about them would suddenly fix everything but Irene was right, only *he* could fix it. " I wish Sky would just fix them for me or somethin mann.. " he thought sonderly. Rome shook his head before speaking again, " I suppose you're right though.. y'know you're a pretty sick mom " he added to lighten up the air. |

Irene listened, still with an intent look on her face. "yeah, Skylar is all I got now and I love him dearly." Irene then said, with love in her voice. "He's a really amazing person and I just want him to be happy." She then proceeded to say. "Also, you are not the reason why he wanted you to leave. Sky has this thing where let's say his social battery dies. Usually, it dies a whole lot quicker with new people, but if you get close enough to him, he will let you stay. You just have to be really quiet and not pushy. It's the best time for cuddles. He usually hangs out with me, but sometimes he will just want to be alone." Irene added before pausing to breathe. She then looked at Rome, waiting for him to answer although she knew it was a lot to take in for him but he had to know. |

Rome gave Irene his full attention. He felt safe with her, and as if he could get lost in her words. His hands closed together and his foot stopped tapping. Listening to Irene talk about Sky, whom she loves very much amazed him. Not once has he heard his own parents speak of him like this, let alone care to know so much either. " Wow, that's insane. Uhmm, I can understand that. Well- I'll try to. This is all so new. I wasnt aware of what i'd get myself into I suppose " he replied. Romes eyes met Irenes and a smile crept from the corner of his mouth. The boy chuckled before asking Irene a question, " What did you mean by that? The uhm ' All you have left ' bit ? ". He sat up quickly before adding " If you don't mind .. of course " . |

With Rome's question, Irene's face dropped ever so slightly. "Well." Irene paused for a moment as she took a breath. "His dad passed away about a year ago, We both have been struggling but we have been there for each other." Irene said before adding "I also have a daughter but shes never around anymore. Their father wasn't that great of a guy but he was there and as soon as he started trying." She paused as her voice broke. She tried to let out a smile as her eyes met Romes. "He's hanging in there, he's also been more happy when you're around." Irene added, smiling a bit more. |

Rome's eyes softened as he watched the women's face drop. He instantly felt guilty for asking such an touchy question. Rome would've never thought something like this would be mentioned, nor would have happened. For a moment Rome paused, opening and closing his mouth. He wanted to find words deep enough for such matter. " I'm so sorry for your.." his hands gestured around the entire house. Rome would hate to be loud or even voice such a traumatic event too loud. " Your loss" he finished. " I'm sure he'd be pleased with how strong your family has grown ". Rome took his right hand and reached it out for Irene's. His eyes meeting hers filled with sorrow. " Ohh, stop it. I'll try my best to keep a smile on his beautiful face " he chuckled softly. Rome tried to return a smile, but it felt forced. He'd had no idea of how rough life was for Sky and his family until now. It honestly blew Rome's mind. " Well, are you guys aware of how she's doing? Or have you all lost communication? " . |

"Well I haven't talked to her at all, but maybe Sky has I have no clue." Irene said as she looked around the house. She then looked over to Sky's room as his door opened. He rubbed his eyes as he started to walk out and to the kitchen. He then looked over at his mom realizing Rome was still there. (uh idk what day it is so idk if they have school or not tmr) "Rome." He said with a confused expression. He then walked over to the couch and sat down beside him. Sky still wasn't feeling too good but he was okay with him being here, he just didn't want to hang out for a bit. He felt too vulnerable. |

Rome nodded and began to speak. His next action was soon ended being Sky had came out of his room. " Hello mi vida ! " he quickly called to the boy. (Uhhh how about like any day on the weekend? Your call haha I don't care ). Rome grinned involuntarily. Shortly after he swung his arm around Sky before responding to Irene. " Well, that sucks. Hopefully she's speaking with him still. Once again uh.. so sorry ". Rome stole a glance at Sky before continuing eye contact with Irene. " Maybe things happen for a reason. I do wish her well and hope she's well ". |
