Emery offered Delta a small smile. "Try not to fall over please" she said gently as she got up aswell and grabbed her, slightly heavy, bag. She had packed her books in hope that she would have the energy and time to read. They had their own place to stay, meaning they would be occupy it atleast once in a while, so she was optimistic that they would get enough time off that she could read. Liri picked up a rather light packed duffel bag and hung it over her shoulder as she stepped towards the door. She never owned much more than clothes and even that she packed light. She had gotten used to always being on the move and too many personal items could become a hassle. Wyatt grabbed his stuff and followed the others towards the door. Making a point of "accidentally" bumping Liri as he passed her. Trying to subtly lighten the tension a little. It earned him a smack on the back of his head and he danced out of reach with a chuckle.

Sombra grabbed his stuff and looked over at Delta and then looked over at Emery. "You might wanna hold him up, he looks like he might fall over" He said as he slipped his bag onto his back. Looking at Delta when he responded with, "I'm not going to fall over" and Sombra just put a hand on his shoulder. "If you say so, but don't be afraid to grab one of us if you feel like that" He smiled at Delta and then went over to stand by Liri.
Emerald went over to Wyatt after she had watched Liri smack him in the back of the head. "So, did you enjoy getting smacked in the head?" She asked him with a slight chuckle as she looked back down at her stuffed cow. Emerald rubbed its head slightly as she let out a sigh, she only ever did this when she was nervous. Though thankfully, she had shared why her necklace and the stuffed cow were important to her to her friends, so that she wasn't afraid to hold and hug it in front of them.

Emery laughed softly at the interaction between Delta and Sombra. Deciding to stand near Delta anyways. It was natural by now for those usually paired in training to stick together. She had noticed the new habit form and even she was victim to it. Liri glanced over when Sombra came to stand with her and gave a slight smile. She hated change and the amount of unkowns that lay in wait for them all. It had her all tense and uneasy. "Should be an interesting day..and I get the feeling we arn't going to get any days that feel entirely normal again either" she said softly, feeling most at ease about talking to him. Wyatt grinned at Emerald's question, looking over at her for a moment. "Oh, you get used to it. Actually kind of better than pillow" he said playfully. Noticing she seemed to be a bit nervous, so naturally trying to distract her from the situation.

"I think the word Normal for us...was thrown out the window when we first turned," He said to her with a chuckle, he noticed that Liri was easing up just a tiny bit and that was good. "But hey, we can all adjust to the new normal together," Sombra said as he looked away from Liri and at the door as it opened.
Emerald laughed a little and looked back up at Wyatt when he said that being smacked on the back of the head, was better than being hit by a pillow. "I can only imagine the number of times you had to get hit to figure that out." She could tell Wyatt was trying to distract her, it was working and she appreciated it.
Delta glance over at Emery as she stood next to him, seemed they have paired up again. Though he didn't mind that as they had been doing it a lot recently, so now he guessed they were stuck together. Delta wondered if she had noticed this habit of sorts, but he was thrown out of his thoughts when the door opened.
The lead scientist opened the door after finishing his call, seeing all of six standing there and ready to go. "Alright, got off the phone with the Sargent and I've been told that the helicopter is ready so let's go. He and a few other scientists led Delta, Emery, Liri, Sombra, Wyatt, and Emerald to the helicopter waiting for them outside. Helping them inside it and getting them strapped in.

"I suppose that is true" Liri said, slightly amused by the realization. "And yes, we'll all have to stick together through this" she said softly, knowing it was going to be tough on them all. The door opened and her attention turned to it, readying herself for what came next. Wyatt smiled slightly. "Mmm...lost count" he admitted in a sort of defeated manner, playfully letting his shoulders slump for a second. He straightened up as the door opened, growing ever so slightly tense before relaxing again. Emery was lost in thought, still a bit sleepy as she wondered about everything that would be happening today. Hoping it wasn't all terrible. The door opened and soon they were in the helicopter. Strapping in in preparation for lift off. The guards had started to trip a little while before them so they could be prepared on the other side, just incase something went a little wrong. And so they wouldn't be greeted by entirely just unfamiliar faces.

The lead scientist checked on each of them one last time and did a final check on Delta who already looked half asleep. "Alright, this is the last time I will be seeing you all for a long time, do your best, I believe in all of you" He smiled at them again before leaving the helicopter and shut the door, and getting a safe distance away. "I hope everything goes alright," The scientist said as the helicopter flew off.
Sombra was sat between Liri and Delta, now that they were in the helicopter everything became a little more real to him. He usually did his best to avoid thoughts like this, but they were headed onto the battlefield where people had died or had gotten serious injuries. He shook his head to stop imagining that, listening as the lead scientist basically told them he had faith in them. When the helicopter lifted off, he took a deep breath to calm himself, "How long will this be again?" He asked Liri.
Emerald was between Emery and Wyatt, she had been quiet on the way to the helicopter and quiet when they were strapped in. She watched as the lead scientist said his last goodbyes to them, and then held onto the stuffed cow in her lap tightly as they lifted off. Getting a slightly uneasy feeling in her stomach already which she did not like.

Liri felt a sense of panick rise up at the motion of the helicopter starting to lift. She rested her head back and took a deep breath, forcing herself to relax and to just shove everything out of her mind. She heard Sombra ask her something, just catching it over the noise of the machine. "Quite a few hours I think. It's far that we have to go" she answered. She had heard the pilots saying something about refueling in five hours. She had no idea how much further they'd be going after that. Wyatt had his arms crossed and chin rested on his chest already as the helicopter started moving. Kind of envying Delta the fact that he'd be sleeping the whole trip. He was already bored and even if he tried, he was going to be unable to sleep very long. After a full week of being constantly busy, he wasn't used to sitting still for a long period of time. Maybe some rest would be good for him, but still. Emery was fairly unbothered, though it was a little scary. She was simply doing her best not to think too much and end up worrying the whole way. Maybe she would try read at some point if it got too bad.

"Oh fun..." Sombra said as he took a few moments to let his body adjust to the movement of the helicopter. He was silent for a few minutes while he observed everyone's reaction to the helicopter, which from what he saw. Everyone but Emery and possibly Delta were bothered or feeling a little uneasy, Sombra looked over at Liri. "If you ever feel uneasy, you can just lean on me if you want. Cause thats Exactly what Delta is doing at this point.
Delta had shut his eyes when the helicopter had lifted off. Though, it had taken a few minutes into the flight for it to take full effect knocking him out. Completely out of it, Delta had found himself slumped in his seat, unintentionally leaning on Sombra while he slept.
Emerald over heard Sombra's question and Liri's answer to it. She knew this trip was going to be long, but she didn't realize that her body was going to feel like that for so long. Emerald sighed and looked over at Wyatt, trying to keep her mind off how she felt and focus on trying to guess what he was thinking about.

Liri gave a slight not in response when Sombra offered that she could lean against him if she wanted to. For a while she didn't, but the higher and further they went, she unknowingly pressed her shoulder lightly against his in seek of comfort of something or rather someone familiar. Wyatt tried to fall asleep, but to no avail. He had just woken up a little while ago afterall. He sighed and rested his head back. Emery had curled up after a while, her small size allowed her to get somewhat comfortable, and drifted off to sleep. Finding it easy since she was usually asleep at this time if possible. She used Emerald's shoulder as a pillow. The hours went by. The helicopter stopping to refuel at around five hours in and then continuing on steadily for many more hours. Until eventually new terrain came into view. The world below them of both dry dessert and kind of forest-ie lands. The greener areas were centered around the bodies of water. This was where they'd be living and fighting for the next nine months. The active war zones were avoided, but they did fly over some destroyed towns. Some locals still desperately clinging to what were once beautiful homes. After more time of flying over some slightly emptier landscapes, the base came into view. It was one of the better ones. Half on open terrain and half in a more wooded area. Within some largish walls were a couple of building, open grounds and other personal touches of those that had already been living there for years. If you looked closely, you could see the kennels for the canine unit. One or two dogs that were not by their handlers paced about energetically, barking at the sound of an approaching helicopter. They came down slowly and lightly outside the walks on a flat piece of ground, dusting swirling in every direction from the force of the wind caused by the propellers.

Sombra smiled softly when Liri leaned on him lightly a while into the flight. He let her like he said he did earlier and now, He had two friends leaning on him. Sombra wasn't able to sleep during the flight so he stayed up with Liri, Emerald, and Wyatt. Well, until Liri fell asleep on him and not even a minute later Emerald fell asleep on Wyatt. Now it was just him and Wyatt, sitting in silence until the helicopter started to land again, this time in a wooded area with some buildings. "Looks like we're here..." Sombra said to Wyatt.
Emerald didn't mind it when Emery used her shoulder as a pillow when she got sleepy. She put her arm around Emery to help her feel comforted in case of a bad dream. Eventually at some point she had driffted off to sleep as well, unintentionally using Wyatt's arm as a pillow.
As soon as the helicopter landed, the guards from the lab opened the doors to let the six canidates out of their seats. Surprised and not surprised to see 3 others fell asleep on the journey here. "Wake up everyone, you've arrived at the base" They said in a calm but loud tone.
