Cedric was covered in sweat, his shirt looked like he had ran through some rain water. He breathed heavily as he sat down, grabbing some water and basically chugging it. This action had annoyed Sebastian. Cedric felt a sharp tap on the top of his head, causing him to flinch. His head turned, glaring at Sebastian. "How dare you hit me when I wasn't paying attention!" He snapped which Sebastian only replied with an eye roll before turning his back on him. "That's the point. If you can defend surprise attacks, you can't defend the throne. Or the kingdom." Cedroc glared at the other. what does he know anyway? He's about as hold as the castle itself. He thought as he scoffed. "Well, You messed up my hair. I should have you thrown in the dungeon for that." This was around the eighth time the young prince has stopped to redo his hair and Sebastian has had enough. "With all do respect, younge prince." The other began, sarcasticly, "you would make a horrid king. Your slow, sloppy, make idiotic decisions that not even a child would think of doing. I believe that when you rule the throne, I will retire that very day." With each word, Sebastian walked close to Cedric, until they where face to face. Cedric looked up at Sebastian, staring at him for a moment before scoffing and turning away. "That's fine. I won't need you anyways." He spoke before storming off. Cedric had stormed all the way to his room, slamming the door behind him. He pulled down his hair, staring at the hair tie. was Sebastian right? Will I be a terrible ruler? Will the kingdom have an uproar of I rule? Should I just leave? Run away even like in my books? They where all thoughts that flooded inside the young princes mind. He quickly shook those thoughts before laying on his bed. He stared at the ceiling for what felt like hours. Not really doing much. Nothing think a whole lot either. He hadn't noticed when a maid tried to drop by and give him food. He just laid there, thinking about his future.

That evening, after a satsifying spar with her brother, she stands at the head of the large training field. She usually had the warriors come in brigades so the field would not get too overcrowded. Her sharp eyes scan the training field as the warriors spar. Not bad. This brigade had a lot of old timers, so there were very few mistakes. Her lips curve in a smile, she was very proud of them all. Her brother, the Regiment General of this brigade was moving through the warriors, watching and correcting. Her eyes flicker from the warriors down to the papers in her hands.
A list of the latest applications to the army. Ugh, she hated this part. She felt like the pile never ended. Everybody wanted to be in the army. To show off, to become honorable, blah, blah. It was hard to pick. Mostly because a lot of them did not understand what being a warrior really meant. Another part was, there was always a decent sized group of applicants that would fit the part fantastically. However, she could only pick a certain number. While having too many warriors was never a bad thing. Having too many new warriors at one time could turn into a very bad thing.
The ground shakes under the force of a dragon landing. Her dragon, Isamuss, his voice rumbling down their mind connection. You're thinking awfully hard. She snorts as she looks up. The massive dragon had landed off to the side of the training field, tucking his wings in so he didn't accidentally knock into any of the warriors practicing. Lord, she always forgot how big of a dragon he was. New applicants, again. Isamuss' purple eyes scan over the training warriors. Don't you have enough? She grimaces as she puts the papers away, that's what I thought, but the King insisted.
Both her and Isamuss' heads whip sideways in the direction of the castle as they hear the sound of a horse galloping full speed at them. Was that.... Riden? One of the highest ranked officers underneath her? Riden's steed skids to a halt beside her, as he salutes her. "General, you are needed at the castle at once. Immediately." Her eyes sharpen, "Why? What's wrong?" Riden's cool green eyes meet her grey ones. Isamuss growls like he can sense the answer before it is even said. Riden's steed throws its head like its unnerved. Ruina's heart drops.
"The Queen has been murdered."

Cedric had stayed tucked within his room, lost within the word of a small story he was writing. The words seemed to flow together, calming him down from his earlier anger. He was just about finished when he heard a loud crash. His head shot up, his eyes scanning around as if the sound came from within his room. It took him a few moments to relize the sound had came from the dinning room. He stood up, tucking the note paper away and dashed out of his room. His feet hit the shiny floor hard, his legs carrying him as fast as he could move. He had a bad feeling that something had happened. That feeling would sadly became true as he busted into the room. He was breathing heavily, his eyes widened as he saw his mother was slumpt over in her chair, maids standing around with a sadned exspretion. His eyes landed on his father who was next to his wife. Cedric's body seemed to freeze. His mind knew what had happened but his body didn't want to belive it. He felt his legs give out, a maid having to catch him before he fell. Tears filled his eyes, his body shaking. His mother was dead. Someone had killed her. Who? Why? Why did she have to go so soon. Why did someone have to take her from him. The new relity slowly set in for Cedric. He was unable to stop the tears or the heartbroken sounds that came out of him.

The castle is chaotic, everybody is running around. Ruina is struggling to get through. She finally gets annoyed, and shouts, "Hey!" Her command echoes through the hall, which surprises her. Everyone freezes under the force of her shout. "Move, now!" Everyone scatters, clearing the hallway, allowing a clearer path. "Tell me everything Riden." Riden runs beside her, rubbing his face. "There isn't a lot to tell, General. No one can really figure out what happened. We just know that she retired to her chambers around an hour ago." Ruina's lips thin. "And then the King retired as well, and when he walked into their chambers, he found her dead in the bed."
Ruina whips around a corner, "Any weapon?" Riden grimly shakes his head, "It seems like she just went to sleep and didn't wake up." She groans, "A magical murder great." Magic being involved would make everything harder, much harder. While everybody did have a sort of unqiue magic, some of them were similiar enough that hunting down the criminal would be hard, if not impossible. Isamuss, do you see anything suspicious out there? Her dragon had taken to the sky to see if he could spot anything suspicious. Perhaps somebody running away from the castle. Isamuss' response is immediate. Nothing, they may be using other escape routes we do not know of.
Ruina lets out a violent curse as they approach the royal chambers, this was about to be a hell of a nightmare. What were they going to do. She slows as she approaches the door, before entering. Already, the room was full. Her men, soldiers and knights. Including the King, and the Queen's personal knight, Ajax. Ajax had been with the service for many years and had always served the kingdom well. In fact, he had never let her down and currently he looked like he was going to cry or puke. "Ajax." He turns, "General, I'm so sorry. I swear I checked the entire room before I left her. And the guard that was guarding her front door, he swore he heard nothing, and--" Ruina raises a hand, "Ajax, please, I know this is not your fault. You have never failed me, this is the work of somebody who knows how our system works."
Ajax quietly sighs as Ruina turns to the King, bowing briefly. "Your Majesty." The King is grief stricken as he drags his gaze away from his wife, "You must find who did this, General. Immediately." Ruina nods, "Of course, Your Majesty. I will begin immediately." The King nods as Ruina turns back to Ajax. "Which guard was on duty? And where is the Prince? Has somebody checked on him? Perhaps this was an attempt on the royal family's life." Ajax mutters, "Peter was on guard, and I sent Jacob to check on Prince Cedric." She nods, her eyes seeking out Peter in the small crowd that was gathered in the royal chambers.
