After some time browsing inside of the bookstore, Joshua exited with three new reads, stuffed away inside of his black leather satchel. Thanking the kind bookeeper, he opened the door to the shop and stepped back out onto the wooden deck. His eyes very quickly spotted the beautiful young woman standing next to her horse.

A friendly smile crossed his face, and he began to walk towards her. "I see you've made your grand return from your journey of errands," he teased charmingly, sideling up next to her. It was beginning to get rather late in the morning hours, nearing midday, and by now he'd usually have eaten. But he had not yet made the effort to fill his stomach. The bustling sounds of the village rattled in his ears, and somehow he was beginning to find it comforting. He could hear children laughing and playing, men shouting greetings to one another, women laughing and greeting one another kindly as they passed in the street, their children mingling.

The sound of street marketers calling out their sales to passerby, cats and dogs milling about the crowds.

"It really is quite nice here," he commented, watching the people for a moment. "I've not been here very long, but it's so different from where I grew up. I never got to really spend time in the villages."

It was true that he was hungry, he had to give her that. He gave her a charming grin and said, "Yes ma'am." He made his way to his own horse, softly patting Finch on his way past. "Oh he's fine, don't worry." He told her, not wanting her to get after Finch for his nudging. Joshua got up onto Commander, accepting Adelee's offer to avoid argument. He would accept it gratefully.

He followed her down to the food spot, able to smell the wonderful mixture of smells wafting from the buildings. Bakeries and small restuarants lined the street, and it all smelled wonderful.
