Lucifer didn't say anything to her when she decided to not come with him to the store. To say that he is relieved wouldn't be the right word for it. He would probably have to say that he is glad that he doesn't have her breathing down his neck all the time when they go places. As much as he somewhat appreciates her for coming and volunteering to protect him while they are down in the mortal world, he would've rather be by himself down here. He doesn't need protection. They act like he doesn't know how to protect himself and that he is a weakling as well. They are so wrong about that. He knows that creatures fear him, which only gives them the fuel to try and take him down as a team. Regardless, he knows that he can take them down easily. Apparently, no one else thinks that which makes him feel annoyed with the thought of that. He hates it in fact and always will. Besides, he doesn't have anyone close to him, besides his sister, that they can use against him. Even then, they are scared of her in a way as well. He stepped out of the house, making sure he had the list and the keys before he did so. He stopped in front, looking over at her as she spoke more. "I will come back later to put the groceries away and so we can go to the furniture store together. See you around, love." He said, keeping the act on in case anyone is watching them from afar. "Stay safe too. Don't want to get a call later from 911 that you are dead in the basement." He teased for the first time before giving her a small wink as well. He smirked at her before turning on his heels and heading to the car. Once he got in, he drove off, not even looking back to make sure that the door is closed. He just wanted to get away, just because he didn't want someone around him all the time. He hopes she doesn't change her mind about coming with him to the store and arrive minutes later. He arrived at the store ten minutes later, walking through the sliding glass doors. He grabbed a cart, making sure that he didn't grab one that the wheels squealed. He wouldn't be able to deal with it if it was going to do that. He would probably lose his patience and throw it against a shelf or something. He would rather not have that happen since it would only draw attention to him. He doesn't need that, especially since that would mean he would have to tell Cleo about why he acted out how he did to cause attention to be pinned onto him. He nodded his head politely to some people before he went to the produce section to grab what he has on the list. May as well start there since it is the first thing there when you walk into the store. It makes sense anyways unless he wanted to start at the end and then finish up at the beginning. Then again, it is the same distance either way. He also needs to get some office supplies for them since they are being accountants or whatever this job is. He was down the alcohol lane when he heard a woman's voice come from next to him, clearly trying to get his attention on her. He kept his gaze on the whiskey in his hand, pretending he doesn't notice her next to him. He took another glass down, this one being rum. He can't decide which one he wants, so he ended up putting them both in the cart and wheeling away. Moments later, he felt someone hanging off his arm, probably the same woman who was trying to get his attention seconds ago. He grumbled under his breath, ready to snap and kill the woman. He turned his head, ready to tell her off but stopped when he saw who it was. His tense body relaxed at seeing her, a slow smile appearing on his lips. He couldn't help the smile on his face as it has been quite a few years since he saw her last. Then again, she was mad at him for things he rather not talk about. "Nice impression, darling." He said, leaning over and pressing a kiss to her temple. Her grip tightened on his arm, a grin on her lips at seeing him and earning such affection from him. Though, he knows she is pleased that he complimented her on being able to conceal that she is an Archangel and causing her voice to be different. "Only for you, darling." She patted his cheek affectionately before leaning over and grabbing a bottle of red wine from the shelf and placing it in the cart. "I heard that Cleopatra is the one watching over you down here." She said as she leaned over and plucked the list of his groceries from his hand. He let a sigh out, knowing that she would get word of this since she is his sister after all. It is only fair if she knew about what was going on with him. "I'm not surprised that you are down here since you hate mortals. Seems like a perfect punishment for you." She said as she guided him down the baking aisle and started to grab items. She was similar to him, yet she had chocolate brown locks that went to her shoulders in loose waves and forest green eyes that shone brightly no matter the circumstances. Then again, they are duller than they used to be a few years ago. Shit happens that inflicts your life, and there is nothing they were able to do about it to stop it from happening. He shrugged his shoulders, seeing a bag of coconut shreds and throwing them into the cart. "Hilarious." He said, his voice dry and annoyed with her comment. She smirked, knowing that it gets to him when he has to be around mortals. She reached up and pinched the cheek closest to him. "Is my brother annoyed and frustrated living among mortals and with Cleo?" He gave her a glare, causing her to snicker and drop her hand next to her side. She grabbed some drinks on the list before saying something more. "I can't believe you have to work and even pretend to be married to her. This is hilarious as you aren't one for loving someone." He grumbled under his breath, wishing that she would go away now as he doesn't want to hear all her teasing. After more teasing and getting everything he needed for both groceries and office supplies, they were loading things in the car. He shut the trunk, putting the cart away before turning towards her. "You coming with?" He asked her, leaning against the car with his hands in his pockets. She shook her head before slipping her own keys out of her pocket. "No. Aatto and I are going on a date, so I can't. Perhaps another day, alright?" He narrowed his eyes at her, knowing very well that she knows that he doesn't like this man, well creature, one bit. She patted his cheek, knowing that he still doesn't like Aatto after them being together for the past four years, even if they aren't married or engaged yet. "Don't give me that look. He is great once you get to know him. Anyways, I must get going. Tell Cleo I said hi and please stay out of trouble my darling brother. See you later." She gave him a kiss on his cheek before skipping away in the direction of her car. She can be such a child sometimes. He was home a minutes later, speeding as he just wanted to be away from mortals for a bit before going to the next store. He pulled into the driveway and got out after he popped the trunk. He grabbed a few bags before going to the front door and opening it once he unlocked it. He set the bags on the counter before yelling. "I'm home, darling!" He said before he went back outside to get more bags out from the car. The faster that she helps him get these in the house, the faster they can unload things and get all of this other shopping done as well.

Cleo was sitting on the counter with her left knee pulled up to her chest as she was cleaning the scrape that was on her knee. Her other foot hung swinging slightly before she raised an eyebrow and looked up. There was a cut along her right cheek which caused her eye to have a swollen appearance as she went back to cleaning her knee. She was cursing under her breath as she finished and rested her hands on the counter as she lowered her left leg. "Two darlings in one day! This is cause for celebration." She teased sliding down off of the counter a little more gingerly than she wanted to show and walked over to follow him out of the door. She picked up a couple of the bags after him and bit her lip as she padded back into the kitchen. Her run had been pretty uneventful until she was coming around the back way of the block. She had been pulled into the shade of someone's garage. Her foot landed against the demon's head when she swung her foot towards her target. Cleo wasn't expecting for a pipe to be slammed into her ribs which pushed her into the wall. She was pinned for a moment as the two demons demanded that she tell them why she was there. She headbutted one which lead to her swollen cheek as she broke his nose. She pushed off against the other one using the wall to balance and landed on the cement on her knees. She hadn't noticed her knee until she had gotten home. Cleo set the bag of groceries on the counter and pressed a hand to her side popping her rib back into place with a shudder before helping with the rest of the bags. "So I hope your trip was less eventful than mine. Maybe I should have taken you up on the offer to go shopping. I possibly wouldn't have dislocated a rib...or three." A sad excuse of a laugh left her as she grabbed a bag of frozen peas from one of the grocery bags, holding it to her eye. "We can still go furniture shopping if you want. I just look a little worse for wear but you should see the other two. I don't think the one is going to be removing that screwdriver for a little while. Might be a little messy." She paused at the door pulling the peas away and walked to the freezer putting them in. "I should probably leave that here...might get some funny looks from people." Cleo slipped on her tennis shoes and looked herself over in the mirror once more before she attempted to fix her braid as there were quite a few loose strands of hair that had gotten free. "Also no one knows yet you are here love. At least from what I gathered, it sounds like people were more suspicious of me leaving than they are of you...at least for now. But be careful. They don't know the house but I don't know how long until someone says something."

Lucifer didn't notice Cleo on the counter when he entered the first time since he was more focused on bringing the bags into the house and putting them away. Only after they finished bringing everything into the house did he notice the state she is in. All he could do was raise a brow at her when she pressed a frozen bag of peas to her eye. He glanced over the rest of her appearance, seeing the scrape on her knee, the cut on her cheek, and probably other injuries he can't see from the outside. He let a sigh leave his lips, saying nothing as he started to put the groceries away. It was like he was acting like he didn't care that she is hurt. Well, he didn't but he does know what he is going to do to help her out. He shrugged his shoulders as he started to put things away in the fridge. Honestly, his trip wasn't eventful at all. He was glad as he wasn't in the mood to deal with someone's stupidity of thinking they can harm him. He grabbed another bag as he put the fruits and vegetables in the fridge. "I ended up seeing Selene after not really being in contact with her for a few years. She says hi by the way." He said as he gathered the bags and put them under the sink. Who knows what they could use them for in the future. "At first I thought she was some woman trying to get my attention since she was able to conceal her identity so well. I didn't know it was her until I looked up." Without another word, he seemed to go disappear somewhere. He went to the bathroom and went under the sink. He grabbed the first aid kit, something he keeps around in case he gets cuts and doesn't bother to go see a nurse or something. Besides, his wounds usually heal unless they use things created in Hell that seem to harm him and leave him scars. He came back out and set the bag on the counter. He went over to her, grabbing her by the forearm and bringing her towards him. He let his hands go down to her waist, grasping them gently before lifting her up onto the counter. "You need to be more careful." He mumbled as he opened the first aid kit. He grabbed gauze and wound cleaner, pouring some on the material. He came back to her, forcing her legs open and standing in between them to get better access to her face. Granted, this seemed like a very intimate position, but he didn't care. It gives him better access instead of him leaning over her to clean her up. He reached up and started to gently pat the gauze against her cheek, his gaze focused on his work at hand. "Don't think I am doing this out of the generosity of my heart. It is far from that. I rather you didn't get an infection or anything of the sort." He mumbled as he continued to pat at her cheek. After a few minutes, he stepped back out from between her legs. He grabbed a new set of gauze and cleaner before sitting on a stool and grabbing her calf with one hand. With the other, he started to clean the wound on her knee. He glanced up at her when she mentioned them not knowing where he is. Even if they did, he wouldn't care. They would be able to handle them fine without any problems whatsoever. They are strong when they are by themselves, but clearly stronger when they are together. "Great. It wouldn't bother me if they did." He said as he reached over and grabbed some ointment and put it on some gauze. He placed it on her knee before wrapping vet wrap around it to help keep it in place. Once he was done with that, he pulled away from her. He put everything back in the kit before turning to face her. "Now, you will not be lifting anything heavy or training until your ribs are healed. You do that, it is only going to take longer for them to heal. The faster the heal, the faster you can get back into training and whatever." He said with a slight wave of his hand before he grabbed the keys from the counter. He then went over to her, gently grabbing her by the hips again and setting her softly on the ground. "Now, come on. Let's go." He said as he headed towards the front door.

She wasn’t expecting him to grab her arm, let alone lift her onto the counter. She raised an eyebrow listening to him then her eyes widened when he stood between her legs. Cleo flinched at the tough of gauze on her face before rolling her eyes. “And here I thought you were actually this sweet and caring person.” Sarcasm dripped from each word as she waited until he moved to her knee. “But it sounds like you do care since you don’t want me to get an infection.” She wiggled her eyebrows playfully until he touched her knee. Leaning back on her hands as he worked, she tilted her head seeming to study the man in front of her. Is he really just doing this for show? Is there a caring soul behind those cold eyes? She was brought out of her thoughts at remembering his mention of Selene. “Oh, if you see her again, tell her I say hi. Here I thought no one would pull one over on you.” Cleo braced herself as he set her back down and folded her arms following along behind him. “So I am on lockdown then? Well I guess I have to figure out some other way to get my training in.” When they were outside, she climbed into the passenger door and clicked into her seatbelt. Some of the swelling was going down near her eye thankfully. The ice helped, along with the cleaning solution, for her body to heal a little quicker. Her mind wandered over to Selene as she looked out the window hearing him climb into the seat next to her. It had been at least 3 years since she had seen Lucifer’s sister and even though she worked under her, it felt weird not having that contact. A sigh left her lips as she leaned back slowly rolling her head to look at him. “Thank you. I promise not to tell anyone that you are a very good nurse.” It was hard for her to not joke but the reality of what had happened crashed into her as she looked back out the window. There was a battle inside of her mind about how lax she had been in order to miss the subtle cues while she had been running. She knows to always expect the unexpected especially when protecting someone important. Her arms folded across her chest as she remained silent watching the scenery fly by, going over any little details. I guess there won’t be much sleep tonight...I need to ask some questions. The demons had been wearing a concealed weapon with a very specific logo that not many of the human realm wouldn’t have knowledge about. It appeared to be a simple yin and yang symbol that was scarred into the metal of the blades but upon closer inspection, there were two dragons each caressing a single angel. It isn’t new...but hasn’t been used in a while. I will reach out to a weapons dealer and see if I can gain any clue to their identities. It wasn’t normal for her to sit in a car ride pretty much silent except for the occasional loud inhale of air if she was jostled just right. Cleo finally looked back over at Lucifer when the vehicle quit moving. “It should be under your name. It’s amazing what deals you can get when you add a little charm…” With a wink she was out of the car and walking towards the front door of the furniture store pausing after a few steps to look back at him. “Well hurry up, I want to get my bed so that we can sleep...well maybe sleep.”

Lucifer snorted when she mentioned that he might just be caring after all. Honestly, he didn't use to be like this. He was caring, free-spirited, kind, and joked around at one point. Now, he is the opposite of that. His heart is as cold as ice, he could care less about other creatures -besides his sister-, reckless, relentless, and just utterly ruthless. Of course, there are other words to also describe him, but those are just a few that he thought about at that time. One word that he remembers Selene telling him is that he is sadistic, which he wouldn't deny. He most definitely is, much to his dismay. He kind of wants to go back to how he used to be, which was before his mother died. Though, he can't turn back time and change everything or even prevent her death. Even if he could, he wouldn't want to go back, even though he so badly wanted to. He looked up at her, a frown dancing across his lips. He's slightly annoyed for some reason with her comment, even though it shouldn't be bothering him. He grumbled under his breath, a hand running through his hair as he flickered his gaze away from her. If he is going to get annoyed like this with her over the tiniest things, he doesn't know how long he will last with her in the same household before he snaps at her and might regret what he would do to her. "Remember, I used to not be like this." He mumbled as he pushed the door open for them. "I might be how I am, but I still have an ounce of caring towards someone sometimes." He said, shrugging his shoulders as they exited the house. He locked up, a flicker of a smile appearing on his lips for just a second before it was gone just as fast. He wonders if Selene was around a bit more if she and Cleo would get along rather well. Then again, he is sure they would as Selene doesn't usually get annoyed with people as quickly as he does and she is actually really caring and kind towards people no matter who or what they are. "You know, you can just ask me for her number and I will give it to you, right? I am sure she would love to get to know you, knowing her." He said as they slipped into the car and started to head off towards the furniture store. When she asked him about lockdown, he gave a curt nod. "Yep. Sorry, doll, but that is what it is going to have to be. I rather you be brand new then crumbling to rust." He said, a small snicker leaving his lips, even though he probably shouldn't have said that towards her. Then again, this is why he doesn't have a lover or is even interested in anyone His brows furrowed for a moment when the thought of a lover crossed his mind. He can't lie about never having one. He actually did before he fell from Heaven and became the Devil. He was serious about her too and was going to ask her to marry him at some point, but shit happened. His mother died, he turned into someone he never wanted to become, and he is the damn Devil. With that, he pushed her away, hurting her so much that he hasn't been in contact with her since then. That has been decades now, her name foreign to his tongue now. If he were to ever speak her name or see her, he would think that she is an illusion or someone was messing around with him as she would never want to see him after what he did. He glanced at her when she mentioned not mentioning that he is a good nurse. Even if she did, he wouldn't care. Anyone knows that he is if they know him on a personal level. He has helped Selene a lot, tending to her wounds after their mother was murdered. The same went for Aatto, Zev, and a few other creatures. He shrugged his shoulders as he pulled into one of the parking spots. "Even if you did, who cares. At least I know how to tend to them, unlike some creatures I know." He only says that as he has met creatures who don't know how to tend to a wound. You would think that after being alive for so long, they would know how to do it. How wrong he was about that. He got out of the car, making sure it is locked before going over to her waiting for him in front of the building. He slipped the keys in his pocket before letting his fingers run down her arm and into her hand. He interlaced their fingers before pushing the doors open and letting her go in first before going in right behind her. He looked around, seeing people mingling around. "Where should we start first, love?" He asked her as his gaze flickered down to her.

It was a little surprising to her when he interlaced their fingers. Yeah she knew that they had to act like they were in love, but something about it just felt a little off to her. She rolled her eyes playfully to his comment about her turning to rust. “Well...fine then. I would fight but I can think of other things to do to keep in shape.” She stepped into the building and looked around releasing his hand to wrap one arm around herself and the other to rest on her chin. The idea of having Selene’s phone number was enticing but she knew there were other ways she could communicate with his sister. Especially since she was working under Selene for this mission. Her eyes scanned the room before walking to the bedroom area. “As much as I would love her number, I am sure we will end up talking to each other. Plus I want to get the bed situation worked out first. I am fine with eating food while sitting on the floor or even on the counter...but beds are important.” She nodded her head pausing at a simple dark grey and white bedspread. She picked up the soft blanket running her hands over it before looking at him. “Yeah, it is surprising how many don’t know how to stitch someone back together.” After setting the blanket back down, she walked over to him and gently took his hand interlacing their fingers once more. She could feel some of the looks that they were getting from others in the building but she moved to head towards a darker bedspread only to release his hand and make a beeline for a hanging chair. The design of it was simple but yet carried a little elegance with the delicate weaving that hung down from it. She moved around it as she inspected it, making sure she really wanted it before she sat down in it. It swayed slightly under her weight but she leaned back watching him with a happy expression on her face. “I love this. Plus I think it would be great for napping.” She couldn’t help but give him a playful wink with air quotations as she stood back up. When one met Cleo, she usually gave off the impression that she liked loud, obnoxious colors, anything that would make a statement. But in reality she liked the more muted greys and whites when it came to her bedroom or living space. Even though she wore outfits that sometimes garnered her looks, she wanted her personal space quiet and somewhere she could relax. She had started to wander over to a couple other more muted sets. They did look like a pair with him in his suit still while she was in workout gear with a tear on one of her knees. Her arms naturally wrapped around herself as she walked. Cleo wasn’t one for big displays of affection in public. One would think she was used to walking down the street hopelessly in love with someone but in fact, the perfect date to her was a quiet night at home curled up on the couch watching a movie or a walk down the beach in the twilight. Of course there was the occasional day where she will go out and party with her friends, but it takes quite a bit of coaxing if it is after a day where she was beaten up from training or just exhausted from running around. Her mind was wandering down a lane of ideas for her room when she bumped into the back of Lucifer. She stepped back apologizing and then flushed a deep red. “Sorry love, I guess I should pull my head out of the clouds. It is easy to get lost up there when thinking about you.” She took a couple of steps back trying to be flirtatious but ended up backing into a bed which caused her to fall onto it. The woman couldn't help but begin to laugh at herself as she remained on the bed closing her eyes. Edited at October 7, 2020 12:10 PM by Rustyk Pack

Lucifer glanced at Cleo, wondering if there is more about Selene than his sister as told him about. Just with her saying that she is sure they will end up talking to each other got him thinking about what she means by that. Perhaps Cleo has to go to Selene to report to her or whatever the hell is going on. He wouldn't be too surprised since he knows Selene would do whatever she could to make sure he is safe even if they weren't on good terms at this moment either. Even when they had a problem with each other after their mom died, she still made sure that he was alright, even though he knows it was hard to do with how he was acting and whatnot. Anyways, seems like Selene is one of the people that Cleo has to report to. As he said, he isn't surprised if that is certainly the case. Once she found that she wanted this hanging chair swing thingy as he puts it, he excused himself from her and started to go look at headboards and the structure that holds the mattress. He slipped his hands in his pockets, making sure to stay away from people, especially the workers. He knows that if they try to get close, they will only try to talk him into trying to buy something he may not want to get. He knows he will only get annoyed as they would only start trying to push his buttons and he rather not snap and cause a scene. Then again, he hasn't had his fill for torturing or harming something in a while, so perhaps it would make him less tense if he actually ended up snapping on one of the sales workers whether it is on accident or not. Then again, that would only give away his position and Cleo would probably be furious with him. That isn't something he needs, especially since he is living with the woman. He glanced at a bed set where the top sheet had hearts on it. He couldn't help but scrunch his nose up at seeing that. Why must everywhere one goes there is going to be something about love or hearts or some shit like that? He doesn't know and it frankly annoys him. Now, if he was like how he used to be, he wouldn't mind it at all, but this is now and he certainly hates it with a burning passion. He would burn it if he could, but clearly, the workers wouldn't appreciate it if he did. Though, if anyone were to ask him what his ideal date is if he ever did go on one, it was rather simple. He would take them out into the middle of nowhere in the woods in a meadow. They would have a little picnic and just gaze up at the stars as it would be nighttime. Or it would be similar to that and in the back of a pickup truck along a river. That has always been his ideal date as he was never one for fancy things, even though he wears a suit. He came to a stop in front of a bed frame that he likes, the wood a deep black color. He let his fingertips trace the wood just as he felt someone bump into him. He turned around to tell them off, but bit his tongue at seeing that it was Cleo who is the culprit. His brow raised at her comment, his head shaking at her attempt to try and woo him. She should know after the first time that it isn't going to work whatsoever. "I must be that unforgettable." He said sarcastically, his hands slipping back into his pockets. He watched her lay on the bed for a moment, a laugh leaving her lips before he decided he had enough of watching her. He turned around just as he bumped into someone this time. He cursed under his breath for bumping into so many people today. He is starting to reach his tipping point and it isn't going to be pretty once he reaches the top. He reached out quickly and grabbed them by the forearm. He pulled them against his chest, not wanting to deal with someone falling to the ground onto their ass and complaining because it is his fault. As soon as the person was stable though, he let them go and quickly stepped away from them. "I apologize for running into you. I wasn't paying attention." He said as his gaze flickered down towards them. At seeing who it is, his eyes only widened. What the actual fuck? He took multiple steps away from her like she is trying to cast a spell on him for something. Though, he shook his head, straightening his shirt out before turning towards Cleo. Clearly, this woman is only an illusion or someone is trying to play a trick on him. "Come on, darling. I want to look at dressers." He said as he offered his hand to her to help her up from the bed. "Lucifer, you must be joking? It is rude to ignore someone let alone a woman." The woman said from behind him, causing his body to tense at just hearing her voice. It has been forever that he forgot what it sounded like. Clearly, she is here as if she was an illusion, he wouldn't have been able to touch her when he bumped into her. He grumbled under his breath, not in the mood to deal with past lovers and shit. "If that woman is you, that is fine." He shot back, only turning around to face her once he helped Cleo up from the bed. She was stunning to say the least. Her body was petite with curves in the right places. She had sandy blonde hair that cascaded down to her hips in loose curls with stunning ocean blue eyes. She has a tanned complexion, having her eyes pop out a bit more. She had semi-full lips that are painted with red lipstick to match the red blouse and black pencil skirt she is wearing. "How rude of you. Then again, I should've expected that from you." Her gaze flickered to Cleo, her brow raised at seeing a ring on her finger. "Huh, interesting that you moved onto someone so fast, darling. Never thought you would after what happened between us. Though, it was most definitely your fault with how you treated me after your mother died." He could only rub his temples in annoyance, not wanting to deal with this crap today. He said nothing as he turned and walked away towards the dresser section, knowing that Cleo will come and even the woman, which he is going to be highly annoyed with.

As much as she wanted to joke, she noticed his change in demeanor as she took his hand standing. She didn’t release it after she stood, giving it a gentle squeeze raising an eyebrow at the woman. Her gaze looked over the woman’s body before meeting her gaze with a smirk. She was going to interject a comment but stopped herself when the woman mentioned Lucifer’s mother’s death. “Now is not the time or place to discuss that matter. Have more decency than that.” Of course she knew about that ordeal, most everyone talked about it whenever Lucifer’s name was brought up. Cleo’s arms folded across her chest in a more protected stance when Lucifer turned walking away. The ugly head of jealousy began to raise its head in her chest seeing how more womanly the woman was before her. There was also something about her that Cleo found off putting as she waited a few more seconds before turning. “Who’s to say you never really held his attention.” Her words weren’t meant to be taken further than skin deep as she jogged to catch up to Lucifer. She reached out a hand to touch his arm but stopped herself short instead pointing towards a dresser. “That one would look nice.” It was a rich, dark oak dresser that reached about chest height on Cleo. She walked over to it, moving to stand in front of him for a moment, keeping an eye on the woman before she looked in his eyes. “I am sorry for this.” She reached a hand up to his cheek before pressing her lips to his, muffling any upset sound he could have made. The kiss was meant to be a statement to any onlookers even if it was short lived. She slowly pulled away as her eyes searched his trying to convey that she was sorry for the unexpected display. Her hand dropped to her side as she stepped away moving to inspect the dresser closer. She could feel the increasing tension, trying to ignore the feeling that they were being stared at as she turned around towards her husband. “Or did you see another one that you liked? Personally I think the dark wood would look better with lighter walls in the bedroom...Don’t you?” She tried to put on an air that what she had done was normal and that continuing the conversation was what any couple would do. It was an almost noticeable distance that she was standing a little farther away from him than when they first walked in. Be it the tension that was almost palpable between the three people or if there was regret for stepping across a line. She pulled her braid over her shoulder and twirled it around a finger as she waited for his answer. If there was going to be a consequence for her actions, she hoped it would be after they left the store. The way he was acting around the other woman had started some murmurs in a couple of the groups that were around the store. “Actually I will go get some items ordered to be delivered so that we can do some sight seeing.” She turned to begin walking to the main desk but stopped short when she came face to face with the more petite woman they had just spoken with before looking at the dresser. “Can I help you?”

Lucifer made sure to stay near Cleo. He rather not leave enough space for the woman to push her way in between them and do whatever is going on through the brain of hers. At seeing the dresser that she pointed out, his gaze flickered over it. He pursed his lips, definitely liking the look of it whether or not they get it or not. "I like it." He said honestly, his voice holding nothing but the truth about it. As much as he is annoyed right now, that didn't mean that he wasn't going to shop for things that they will need for the house. "I say we get it." He added, his head nodding in the satisfaction that she was able to find something that he surprisingly likes. She should be proud that he wasn't harsh to her if he didn't like it. He went to reach forward to open the drawer, but he wasn't able to when she stepped in front of him. He furrowed his brows at her, wondering what she has up her sleeve. When she apologized, he wonders why she is even doing so. It isn't like he did anything wrong for her to do so. He opened his mouth to ask her what she means by that, but he didn't get a chance to do so. He couldn't help the growl that left his lips as she kissed him, yet he knows that it is only going to sound muffled to prevent anyone thinking he didn't enjoy it. When she pulled away from him, he all but gave her a stern look that tells her that they are going to have a talk later when they get home. At least the woman couldn't see since his back is particularly to her. "Thanks, love. I definitely needed that." He said, his voice holding sincerity even if he doesn't feel that way whatsoever. He has become such an amazing actor over time that he isn't surprised that he is able to lie so easily without anyone noticing. He can't believe she had the guts to kiss him. They need to make rules later when they get home on what they can and can't do. Kissing is going to be on the list they can't do. He doesn't want creatures that might recognize him think that he actually cares for Cleo when he doesn't. As much as he wouldn't care if someone were to kidnap her, he would actually go retrieve her. Not because he wants to, but because he doesn't want to deal with people up his ass about why he let her die if he didn't do anything to help her out. Granted, that was his first kiss since he went different ways with the woman standing behind him right now. He will admit, it was nice kissing someone again, but he won't ever say that out loud or to anyone for that matter. He glanced up when he heard her walk away but stop as she asked the woman a question. He let a sigh leave his lips before going over to them, his arm wrapping around Cleo's shoulders and pulling her into his side. "Katelyn, what do you need? Knowing you, you stand in the background until someone asks you what you need." He pointed out, an annoyed sigh leaving his lips. Anyone could see that he isn't in the mood for her or Cleo right now or anyone bickering. "We need to talk." She said, causing him to raise his brow at her. He stepped to the side while bringing Cleo with him. "Great. We did, so, ta-ta." He said, brushing past her without another word He didn't get to go far before she grabbed his arm and pulled him to a stop. A low rumble growl left his lips, his eyes narrowing into cat slits that she thought she could touch him. "You better let go or I won't ask you nicely the second time." He warned, his voice dangerously low. She glared at him as well, though, she let him go a second later, but not before she stuck a piece of paper in his pocket. "We have nothing to talk about. You made it pretty clear when you left me. Now, my wife and I have very important things to do, so excuse us." He said, walking away with Cleo to the front desk.

She followed Lucifer's lead after he wrapped his arm around her shoulders. She nodded at his mentioning that they had important things to do. "We would like to order a few items." The clerk nodded and conversed with Cleo as she ordered a couple of the dressers she had pointed out, the bed she had first looked at as well as the chair. She made sure to not get carried away too easily, letting Lucifer put down what items he wanted. The clerk smiled as they wrote down the items. "Thank you for shopping with us. I will get this put in right away so that they can get to your house to set up the bedrooms." Cleo nodded and watched the clerk walk away before looking at Lucifer. She could feel that her actions had not been welcomed and she took his hand in hers while tilting her head. She was about the speak when the clerk walked back waiting as Cleo handed over the credit card that she had slipped into her pocket. Once everything was paid for and they were given the time that the items would be delivered, Cleo headed towards the door making sure to not stray far from Lucifer's side. The meeting with Katelyn was unsettling to her but she couldn't put her finger on the exact reason why. Once she reached the car, she paused and leaned on the hood. "So will I have any other bruises to cover up?" Her voice only loud enough for the two of them as she waited for him to unlock the car. Of course she had a feeling that there might be a physical bout between the two of them but honestly it would be a way to do some training and study his fighting style even for a moment. "Because I wouldn't blame you for that response. I didn't let myself think through the consequenses since it was obvious there was tension between you two." Cleo wasn't one to pry too much, especially if the other person could easly snap her like a twig if they wanted. She respected other's privacy and she would hold true to that, as much as she could. There would be scenarios where she wouldn't be able to avoid talking about someone or something especially if the door had been open for her. "Do you want to just head straight home? That way we can get things prepared and ready for our items when they come? I will try to help as much as I can with things or sit and look pretty on a counter...Your choice." Maybe with how she could see the anger in his eyes sitting on the counter was the more reasonable option to choose.
