Amara sighed as she had waited, many faces passing her by. When one finally approached her, she tensed up when he asked if she was the princess. *Did I make myself too obvious* she thought as she tried to not show any fear. She slowly stood up, careful to keep Cobalt on her shoulders. "I am" she said. "I suppose you must be who I'm supposed to, well, get to know" she said, trying to not use the word "marry" since she still didn't know him. Her blue eyes watched him as Cobalt stretched his wings and flew over to the male in front of Amara. She watched him land and give a quick sniff before he flew back, landing on Amara's shoulder. "Sorry, Cobalt is still learning manners" she said as she placed her hand out for Sebastian to shake. "My name is Amara." / Amara glanced around and saw that neither guards from her kingdom or his were in sight and nodded. "Shall we um, get to know each other" she asked, unsure of what to say. Her nervousness boiled within her before she blurted out "I hate my father for making me do this." When she realized she said it out loud, she placed her hand over her mouth. "I'm so sorry. I-i talk a little much when I'm nervous and say things that I shouldn't... And I should probably shut my mouth now" she said as she looked down and nervously ran her fingers through her hair. / Amara felt eyes on her as she looked down, and started to feel warm as embarrassment filled her more and more. She rubbed her arm nervously as she waited for a response from the prince. Her eyes were still locked on the ground as she figured that this would make him consider telling his parents she was a fool and it wasn't worth doing to end the war.

Sebastian could see that she seemed skeptical of him, which he would be too if he were in her shoes. He only had a feeling it could be her with how she is the only one really sitting around in the bustling village. Then again, he could have been wrong and she could've been somewhere else without him knowing. "Yeah, I suppose that I am." He said, referring to him being the one that she has to marry. He opened his mouth to say more, but he quickly closed it when the young Griffin flew over to him, causing Atticus -who is currently seated by his side- to let out a low growl. He knew that growl as being a warning to not hurt him or he won't hesitate to attack. Once the Griffin flew back to the woman, he knelt down to Atticus' level and started to scratch behind his ear while he kept the flowers hidden behind his back. He glanced up at her when she said that the Griffin, which he found out is named Cobalt, is still learning his matters. He shrugged his shoulders slightly, showing it didn't really bother him. "It really isn't a big deal. I am used to animals of all sorts coming up to me to catch a swift of my scent before trotting away." When she said that her name is Amara while sticking her hand out towards him, he hesitated but didn't show it. After just a few seconds, he reached out and gently grasp her hand in his. "Sebastian." He said as he stood up after letting her hand go. He glanced at Atticus, seeing that he wants to go over to sniff Amara to make sure she isn't a threat. He let a very low whistle leave his lips, which signaled the Shepherd to go up and sniff her hand. He let out a soft yip, giving her hand a lick before returning back to his side. He let a soft laugh out, seeing that Atticus seems to like the Princess without even knowing her yet. He noticed that she started to look around, probably looking for his guards but saw none. "Of course. Would you like to stay here or would you like to go inside one of the restaurants and perhaps eat a little bit?" He asked, being as polite as he can. On the inside, he really hates that he has to get to know this woman because he is going to marry her. It isn't something he wants and if he could run away right now, he probably would. When she blurted out that she hates her father for doing this, his face contorted into one of surprise. He wasn't expecting her to tell him this, but he has to admit that he feels the same. "It's fine. Really. I feel the same way about my parents, so don't sweat it." He gave her a reassuring smile before he remembered he has roses for her. He removed his hand from behind his back, holding the flowers out towards her with a slight smile on his face. "I thought it would be a good idea to get flowers. Considering I don't know what kind of flowers you like, I just ended up picking the old fashion red roses." He gave a soft chuckle, his facial features softening slightly. He hopes he can at least calm her down as there really isn't a reason for her to be nervous. Well, if she has heard the rumors of what a cold-heart and stone-cold killer he is, perhaps it would be a bit harder to do so.

Amara nodded. "It's nice to meet you Sebastian" she said as she finally looked up. She couldn't help but hide a small blush when she saw the flowers. "You were actually very close to the flowers I like" she said. "Red with black tips are my favorite, but they are very hard to find and keep alive." She watched Sebastian a moment when he mentioned either staying there or going to grab a bite to eat. "I feel a little to, how to put this, jittery, to stay here, but I'm not sure I could eat." She thought a moment. "Do you have a mount perhaps to ride" she asked, feeling it might actually be fun to ride with someone, as she always rode alone. / Amara gave a soft whistle before she pet the hound that accompanied Sebastian. After a short moment, Luna came trotting over with a small nicker. The white mare was now untacked and Amara assumed the guards did so. *Oh well. If we do ride, Luna knows not to go crazy* she thought. *Thank goodness I didn't bring Thunder.* She gave a small smile to Sebastian before she spoke again. "We don't have to ride if you don't want to though." Her blue eyes watched him. "I hope you don't mind me saying this, but you don't seem like the rumors I've heard." She scratched her arm slightly. "And you aren't like other princes I've met either." She hoped he wouldn't be upset with her saying those things, but they were true. He wasn't like the curel person she had heard about, though she was sure he heard lies about her as well.

[Sorry for the long wait! Life got busy!] Sebastian saw the blush on her cheeks when he offered her the flowers. He wonders if she has ever received such things from someone such as him. Sure, Lorelei sometimes blushes when she receives items from her suitors from various kingdoms, but she is used to it. She rarely ever does it unless it is something she truly likes or a really nice compliment. If he has to stay with Amara, it seems like he will have to make sure that she gets treated like a Princess and of course a Queen one day. That won't be a problem since he is sure that Lorelei will help him out considering he doesn't have much experience with women. Sure, he has been around them, but he never thought of a relationship with one before nor has he ever found someone he actually clicks with yet. When she said that he is close to her favorite flowers, his brows raised in surprise. He can't believe that he actually got something considerably close even though he knows nothing about her. When she said that she likes the roses with the black tips, he noted that in the back of his mind. He didn't want to forget that, especially if sometime in the future she gets angry at him and he has to try to have her forgive him. Hopefully flowers and something else, once he gets to know her more, will help her forgive him. Then again, some people don't forgive people as easily as others do. "That is great. I will keep that in mind." He said, giving her a slight smile. When she said that she is too jittery to stay here and to eat, he wonders what they could do next. They could go for a walk. He was going to suggest that, but she already started to talk before he could say a word. He listened to her asking if he has a mount. His brow raised, wondering what she has in mind that considers them being with their mounts. Perhaps she wants to go for a ride and get to know each other. Sounds like a plan for him, especially if that means she will be more comfortable around him since she will be near something she has known most of her life. "I do." He said slowly, not sure that the idea he has in mind is right. When she whistled, a white Unicorn mare appeared moments later. He then glanced back at her when she said that they don't have to go for a ride if he doesn't want to. "No, that is fine. I am fine with that as long as it makes you feel comfortable. You being comfortable and safe right now is my top priority." He said, giving her a small smile. He let a low whistle leave his lips, watching as Zahra appeared moments later. Ah, he is glad that Xander untacked her because he wasn't really in the mood for riding in a saddle. He walked over to her, letting a soft laugh leave his lips when she nuzzled his shoulder. "I'm fine." He murmured, giving her neck a pat before he swung himself up onto her back. He glanced down at her when she said that he doesn't seem like the rumors she has heard of. He let a small snort out, his nose scrunching slightly in the process. "I am being nice. The rumors are true unless you truly know me and I can trust you enough to tell you anything." He said, snapping his fingers for Atticus to jump onto the mare's flank. Once the canine did, his attention went back to Amara. "Not even my parents get the nice side of me. I only trust two people in my life and that is my best friend who is the best Captain of the guard and my sister. I wouldn't get too used to this facade right now because I honestly don't trust you enough to show you my true self." He said, shrugging his shoulders. It is actually true, even if she doesn't want to hear that. He isn't trying to be rude to her. He is just warning her. His brows furrowed together when she said that he isn't like other princes she has met. What in the world does she mean by that? Does that mean he should be more romantic? Or is she saying that as a compliment? He isn't sure, causing him to bring his bottom lip into his mouth and bit down on it from saying something cruel. He took a deep breath, letting his lip go before he spoke. "What do you mean I am not like other princes?" He asked, his brow raised and his head tilted to the side.

(It's ok. I was about to ask if you were alright) Amara looked at Sebastian as she pet Luna. "It's alright if you dont rememer them" she said. "Very few ever do, and they are very rare to come by. It might be what makes them my favorite" she said as she gently placed Cobalt on Luna's neck, the little griffin gripping onto the unicorn's mane. She gave a small sigh of relief when he mentioned being alright with riding. "It's one of the small things that even allows me to feel like I actually have freedom anymore" she said as she pulled herself onto Luna's back. Amara took a small braided part of Luna's mane into her hand as she motioned to allow Sebastian to lead the way. *Men always take the lead, remember that* her father's voice rang in her head. Amara looked at him. "With the way you are talking, not the one's I heard." She watched him a moment before replying. "There were rumors you killed your whole family just to become king, and with talk of your sister, and being forced into the arranged marriage, I would have to assume that's not true" she replied as she looked at Luna. "Follow" was all she said to the white mare who backed up, ready to follow the other mare. Amara gave a small shrug. "You dont seem like your full of yourself. You dont seem to parade yourself around like your better than everyone else and that its an honor to marry such a prince" she said rolling her eyes. "I dealt with so many like that to where they blur together. One did nothing but talk about himself and his kingdom, never bothering to even ask if I wanted something as small as tea. Another made sure to wear his brightest most expensive clothing, and had the guts to call me a peasant for wanting to wear my royal blue dress and crown." Amara shook her head. "You at least brought me flowers and are trying to keep me from being nervous."

[I haven't forgetten. Don't worry!] Sebastian almost gave her a look like she was crazy when she said it would be okay if he didn't remember it. That would be rude and just not right of him if he were to forget what her favorite flower is. He already knows what he is going to be getting her the next time they meet. He will look everywhere for these red black-tipped roses to be able to give them to her personally. Well if he finds them and they can't see each other due to reasons, he will personally hand-deliver them to her just to get out of the stuffy castle. Atticus would love to go on an adventure as well even though it would just be him and the canine. He knows his parents wouldn't approve if he went by himself so that is why he won't tell them he is leaving because of that. Besides they might actually be happy he is trying to do something for this woman without them trying to tell him to actually do it. "Now, that wouldn't look good on me if I were to forget something that you love would it?" He asked her, his brow raised as he watched her pat her Unicorn. He gently squeezed Zahra's side to get her to walk. "I agree. I usually tend to sneak out of the castle quite often to get away from everything." He said, a sigh leaving his lips as he thought about something. He thought about what his life would be like if he weren't born into a royal family. Sure, it may be hard, but at least he wouldn't have to deal with royal affairs, arranged marriages, having to have protection around him all the time, being perfect all the time, and he would actually have freedom. Well, he hoped he would have freedom. It would depend on the parents if they would let him go where he wanted to. He noticed that she seemed to let him take the lead, causing a sigh to leave his lips. He has seen this often as Lorelei does this all the time. He turned slightly to face her and tugged on Zahra's midnight raven mane to slow down slightly. He fell in step right next to Amara, knowing she might disagree with him doing this. He didn't care though as he hates when women think they are inferior to men. He thinks that both genders should be treated equally and whatnot, but society thinks otherwise. "Amara, when you are around me, you can take the lead or whatever you want. You don't have to have me lead. You are my equal no matter what society thinks." He explained slowly, his gaze flickering around to make sure everything is alright. "I know you were taught to have men lead and whatnot as my sister was taught the same way. When it is just you and I, I want you to forget that. I hate when women think they are inferior to me. It just don't like when women bow down to men because they are stronger, do the harder work, and other things." His gaze flickered over towards her. "As I said, just forget what you are taught when it is you and I, alright?" He gave her a soft smile to show her that he truly means what he says. Sebastian started to laugh when she said that there are rumors that he killed his whole family to be king. If they truly knew him, he wouldn't ever want to be king. He just doesn't think he fits the role and it just isn't him to be king. Sure, he would make a great one, but it just doesn't appeal to him. If Lorelei was a man, he would totally step down and have her assume the throne. "Regardless of what my family has me do and whatnot, I truly do love them. Well, more so Lorelei than my parents as she understands me more than my parents." He murmured softly. He and Lorelei stick together no matter what. The same goes for Xander. "I mean, we are being forced into an arranged marriage right now. As for my sister, she isn't. Sure, she has suitors but she hasn't found the right person for her yet. She still looking for him wherever he is." He said, letting a sigh leave his lips. He wished he had that option, but this is what his fate is right now, marrying Amara for the sake of the kingdoms. He started to laugh again when she said about not being like other princes. He knows how others can be as some of Lorelei's suitors are like that. They joke around about those suitors behind closed doors at night just because they think they can get a princess like that. Sure, some like that, but others don't. "Yeah, if I was like that, I wouldn't be proud of myself." That is the truth. He cares for people, mostly the village-folk as he wants to make sure they have everything they need. He gave her an incredulous look when she said that one of them called her a peasant. "Now, that is just not something you tell any royal member. Where is he? I will gladly give him a piece of mind as that just isn't right, especially to you." He mumbled, his head shaking. He doesn't understand why someone would say something like that when she looks beautiful even with the clothes she has on now. "Even if you wore what you do now on a daily basis, I would never say that to you. You wear what you want as you want to be comfortable. Not just to please some high-born prince."

Amara looked at Sebastian as they walked side by side on their mounts. "No, it might not look good for you to forget them, but with how hard it is to find them, I certainly wouldnt be upset about it" she replied with a small smile. "I do wish I had been able to sneak out, but thanks to my father finding out one night by catching me sleeping in the barn with Luna, he made sure I had guards posted at all times. Hates to allow me to have any freedom"she said as she looked forward. As Amara felt Luna hit a steady pace she looked back at Sebastian. "I appreciate it. You have no idea how much it drives me crazy letting others take the lead with things that I enjoy, and set paces that are rather boring for not only myself, but for Luna as well." She placed her hands in her lap having her balance and feeling Luna's movements. "Hearing someone willing to be equal, it's certainly a rare thing." Her blue eyes watched the prince before she looked to the sky. "I know the feeling. As much as I dont like that my father is forcing me to do things that are driving me crazy, he is still my father, and I love him" she replied. "My brother, it's hard since he's pushed everyone away. We were never really close, but he always had my back, always making sure I was alright." She shook her head as she remembered when one of the guards teased her when they were younger, and her brother ended up beating him in a duel which made her father agree to her brother to train and fight in the battles. Amara gave a shrug. "Apparently he lives in one of the kingdoms in the desert. I made sure that he didnt exactly go back in the cleanest of clothes. After he called me a peasant, I offered to show him a really beautiful meadow. Now, I didnt exactly lie, but to get there, you need to jump over a large log. It had also just rained. I guess he had never jumped on a mount before and he fell off into a rather large mud puddle." She couldnt help but chuckle. "He certainly got what he deserved I think." Amara looked forward again. "The meadow was beautiful that day, though he went back to the castle and packed up without seeing it, and I didnt have to see him again." Amara looked at Sebastian and gave him a playful smirk. "Do you think you can keep up" she asked. Without waiting for a reply, she whispered to Luna who took off at a gallop, nearly throwing Cobalt out of her mane. Luna let out a playful bellow before they reached the edge of the village and stopped, rearing before waiting for Sebastian.

Sebastian scoffed when she said she wouldn't be upset. He isn't going to just give in and take the easy way out in not finding her favorite flowers. His gaze flickered over to her, a smirk appearing on his lips as if this is a challenge. "You underestimate me, princess." He teased, which was soon followed by a small laugh. Challenge accepted, he thought, knowing he will for sure try to find these rare and incredible looking roses. He knows it won't be easy, and that is the fun part of all of this. He is always up to do something that is a challenge. He nodded his head at her words, knowing what it feels like to not have the freedom. "I agree. It limits your ability to have fun and do the things you love when someone is always around you." He murmured. He glanced over at her, his shoulders shrugging when she showed him appreciation for letting her be who she wants around him. Of course, it would be different if they were around other royals or at a party. As much as he would like her to be who is wants to be all the time, she knows that it won't be possible as it might be seen as a weakness to other kingdoms. "Of course. I am not one to degrade someone because they want to be who they want to be and not what they were taught to be. I prefer someone who wants to be who they want to be. It just shows they aren't a puppet." It is true. Sometimes when he isn't who he wants to be, he feels like he is a puppet and that someone else is controlling his body movements and his words. He hates it with a passion and wished that being perfect for the public view isn't a thing. He wants people to know the real him and not the fake him. When she talked about her brother, he wonders what happened to him to have him push everyone away. Perhaps he could offer to have Lorelei talk to him as she might be able to understand how he feels or knows what he is feeling. She may seem like she is fine on the outside all the time, but he knows that is only a mask and that she is truly suffering on the inside. He knows what it feels to be pushed away as she does that when he tries to bring up that event. She just shuts down, kicks him out of her room, and she ends up being locked in her room for sometimes days at end until she starts to feel a bit better. He may as well offer and if she declines, he will understand. He knows Lorelei won't be too happy, but if she is able to help Amara's brother, that is all that will matter to her. Before he could ask her that, though, she said that he lives in one of the desert kingdoms. She listened to her tell the story of what happened to the Prince after he called her a peasant due to her clothes. He couldn't help but laugh at the story, wishing he was there to see that happen. He would have had a hoot out of that, even if it would've been inappropriate to laugh at a time like that. He wouldn't care as the man deserved what was served to him. "Damn, I wish I was there to see that happen." He said, still laughing at the story. He could practically see it before his eyes, knowing he won't be forgetting this sotry anytime soon. "He certainly deserved what was served to him, especially in a hilarious way might I add." He saw the smirk on her lips, wondering what her mind is scheming up to. As soon as she took off, he already knew what was going on. Zahra galloped after her, not caring to really race and she knows that he would let Amara win regardless. He pulled the mare to a stop once he came up to Amara, a small laugh leaving his lips. "No fair. I didn't have any warning." He teased, clearly not caring that she didn't give him a heads up. He is just teasing her, something he does a lot around people that he is close to. She is going to be getting a lot of it if they do end up getting married. He clicked his tongue to have Zahra walk into the forest, gesturing for Amara to follow. They are just hanging out and it is more private since there really aren't many village-folks around them. "I have a suggestion about what you said earlier about your brother." He said as his gaze flickered over towards her. Maybe she will agree and think it is a great idea, but he isn't sure. "Perhaps Lorelei, my sister, could go pay him a visit. She has gone through a lot and she likes helping people who look like they need it. She may be able to understand what he is going through or even know what he is feeling. Perhaps it will help him open up and not push you away anymore." He suggested, not knowing if it would truly work if Amara agreed.

Amara nodded. "Freedom with riding has been the only freedom I have had in a long while" she said as she pet Luna, following Sebastian, well, more of pacing him. Her blue eyes looked where they were going as her hair fell calmly on her back. Amara sighed. "Arent we puppets of our parents though currently? Doing their bidding with the arranged marriage" she asked. She looked at Sebastian to see what he thought. "While we can be ourselves around each other, we still might be puppets to the kingdom and our parents." She gave a small shrug. "I might just be thinking too much into everything" she chuckled. Amara couldnt help but chuckle when he mentioned ehr not giving him a heads up. "I thought the look I gave would have been enough" she said, giving a small tease right back. *He really isnt as bad as others made him seem. Even if we are forced to go through with this, I feel we can at least be friends* she thought as she watched him. Amara looked a little shocked. "Do you think your sister would be willing to talk to him" she asked. "He has hardly been letting his servants look at him anymore." She looked down a bit. "If she is willing, she might have to pretend to be a servant rather than a princess." Amara knew that might be the only way to even get her brother to allow someone near him.

[You know, I was kind of thinking of something. Perhaps we could roleplay as both of the siblings as I think it would be interesting. If not, that would be okay too!] Sebastian listened to her, his head nodding. She isn't wrong. As long as their parents are alive or are in rule until they take over, they are going to be puppets for them. In a way, it isn't something he is looking forward to as who knows how long it is going to be before they finally step down from the crown and let him take over. As long as they are in rule, he has to follow every rule or demand that they give him. If he doesn't, well, he rather not get into that as it isn't something he really likes talking or thinking about. He kind of hates to admit what he is going to be telling her, but it is kind of the truth. "I understand why an arranged marriage is happening though. As much as I would like to find someone and fall in love with them on my own time, this marriage is something that can stop the war once and for all. I love my people, even though the rumors say otherwise, and I will do what it takes to keep them safe and have them come home to their families." He explained, his voice soft. As much as he hates the thought of this marriage, he knows it is for a good cause. He should be grateful, really, that she is a kind and sweet woman. He isn't sure what he would do if she was some heartless, whiny, needy Princess. He would probably just drop it and not care if the war continues. "As long as our parents have the crown, we will always be puppets. Once they step down, we really don't have to. We would be the King and Queen and we could make changes if we needed to." He said, his gaze following a sparrow as it fluttered across his line of vision. When Amara seemed to kind of agree with letting his sister talk to her brother, his brow raised. He never thought she would agree as he can see others thinking he may be pushing things. He actually isn't. He wants everyone to be happy and accepted no matter how they feel or what they look like. Besides, Lorelei always loves helping people and will do whatever she can so that Amara's brother can feel confident again and not push people away. He knows Lorelei will be able to do it even if it might take a while to do so. He listened to her idea of having Lorelei act as a servant rather than a princess. She would love that as she doesn't always like wearing the dresses their mother forces her to wear. If she could, she would wear a pair of slacks, riding boots, and a t-shirt. Sadly, that isn't lady-like and she is forced to wear dresses that are always uncomfortable and not her taste of style. "Yeah. Once I explain to her, she would understand and would be willing to help." He said, giving her a soft smile. "That would be fine too as she isn't too fond on wearing the dresses that her mother has made for her." He chuckled softly, his head shaking in the process. "I could send a letter now to have her meet us in the village in a few hours and she could go back with you if you like? Or we both could come, but of course she would go to your brother alone and I would be sticking with you." He suggested to her.
