Kanu stood there with a smirk, though his glare was obvious. He turned away from the other heir, shrugging at his advisers and seeming to be without a care in the world. Truthfully, he really wanted to go home and drink. But he didn't say anything about that. Without any sort of warning, he started pacing. Annoyed that he had to wait so long to get an audience with a human.

Shoter knew how to make an entrance, and knowing both immortals were waiting and impatient, he set to the gates. The large bronze gates opened, revealing him, dressed in armored finery. "Hello, Kanu Akmad and Sloane Zain, heirs to the Underworld and Heavens," His smile was more of a sneer, "Welcome to Earth."

Kanu smiled pleasantly at the human but his eyes were cold. His body language saying that he clearly was not a fool and although he would be respectful, he was not to be trampled over. The shadows under his skin rushed to his palms then pulled back, much like the ocean's waves or the Underworld's lava lakes. Plus, the gravity of Earth sort of threw off a lot of things. The heir stiffly bowed his head in respect for a moment, just a moment, he didn't want to seem below Shoter. "It is a pleasure to finally meet you Shoter Farfallow." It wasn't, but Kanu wasn't gonna day that.

Sloane showed less restraint then Kanu, yet there was a calmness to her as she spoke, "Yes. It is quite different from our homes. Quite boring to be honest, very bland and dull." She then smiled, as if she hadn't just insulted Earth's Overlord. There was a darker edge in her eyes, though, which wouldn't be noticed unless someone was close. Shoter to was too far to see it, though he heard her words well and visibly stiffened before relaxing "Hmm," He nearly growled, "I guess you haven't seen the strength and vibrancy of my people, and the palace as well. Come inside, but leave your... beasts." He glared at Gryphem and Bulla.

Kanu had an odd sense of humor to most. As it was just the way he acted when sober. So what he said next was even worse because he was trying to break the ice. To be entirely honest, he was the worst person for the job. Kanu had a tendency to make things even more awkward than they already were. "Well uh, good thing I don't have any beasts?" Kanu wasn't one for being too smart either. Especially when he wanted to seem stupid in front of new people. This occurred every time he met someone new. Act stupid and you'll surprise them when you turn out to be smart as hell. Literally. So that was Kanu's plan. Figure out what he could and maybe win the king dude's heart. If he even had one of course.

"Because you are one," Sloane murmured under her breath, louder, she spoke up, "My griffon and dragon have no interest going inside you palace. They will stay outside." At all time, Sloane kept Kanu in the corner of her eyes, especially his hands. He wasn't to be underestimated. His assassin business was known news to Sloane, and it required cunning. There was more to Kanu than he let on, and she was not about to be fooled.
Shoter nodded once, spinning around on the stairs, "Come on in, then. Welcome to the Farfallow Palace."

Being a dragon had its advantages, as Kanu's senses were heightened greatly compared to any average immortal. Mostly it was his sharp eyesight, which could pick up movement up to a mile away. He could hear pretty well too but it was even better in his dragon-form. So he caught on to what Sloane said and frowned. Why was everyone so serious here? It was so boring, and Kanu was not one who dealt with boredom well. Which was why he was an assassin, he got to explore everywhere while also getting paid. Who wouldn't love a job like that? This whole place was so horrible. He already hated it and he hadn't even been in the palace yet. Speaking of which, this place was tiny. Hell's palace was huge and was made to be able to fit dragons. Especially Kanu who was rather big even for a dragon.

Bulla and Gryphem both nuzzled up to Sloane for a moment, before flying off to hunt somewhere. A shadow of a smile pasted over her face for a second, before leaving her normal serious and angry look. Sloane turned on her heel and strode up the grand staircase. She had to take the stairs one at a time, but climbed up rapidly. Shoter did not bother waiting for them, as he had already gone through the gates.

Kanu had closely followed Shoter into the palace. Trying to wave off the 'advisors' his father had sent with him which were truthfully spies. Spies meant to keep an eye on Kanu and actually keep him here. They weren't here for information, they were just here to keep Kanu in check. As the assassin had a reputation for suddenly disappearing and returning whenever he wished. This didn't exclude meetings or important events. He had left without warning at many of those stupid parties and gatherings. No one would be surprised if he disappeared here too. So his father sent advisers with him. In reality, they were just there to babysit Kanu. Which the young demon didn't appreciate.

Sloane felt the presence of the demon prince acutely, the same with the ass king. She already didn't like him. The vibe he gave off didn't sit well with Sloane. Kanu didn't give off the same vibe as Shoter, though. He was more of a pest, add in the fact that their people were at war added to her dislike of him. Perhaps she was unfair, but Sloane really didn't care what anyone thought of her, and figured no one else minded either. Sloane not liking or getting along with Kanu wouldn't affect him.
