Sloane stared at him. How could one being be so infuriating? "The fact that I did not just push you off my griffin is a true virtue of mine. No wonder I am such a 'heavenly' being." Sloane used the same tone Kanu used for 'heavenly' just a few moments ago, "And you are totally correct. I was grinning from ear to ear as you were dying on the the flight back to the castle." The sacasm was heavy in Sloane's voice, and she rolled her eyes, "I hate you so damn much, Kanu."

The cocky grin left Kanu's face and was replaced with an entirely sad puppy face. He looked as if he was on the edge of tears, and even his voice was rougher and cracked. Again, he'd make a wonderful actor. "I can't believe you'd say that to me after all this time. I-I thought you cared for me Sloane. I-It saddens me to see you push away your emotions like you do. Perhaps one day you can realize your obvious longing for me. I only want to see you happy." Kanu couldn't keep it together and burst out into laughter. So maybe he wouldn't be the perfect actor.

Sloane looked over the side of Gryphem, and noted how long of a way down it was, "I would rather jump off Gryphem's back right now than ever have any 'longing' for you." Sloane patted the beast's side to alert him that she was doing something, "Actually...." She pretended to ponder a thought, and one moment later, slid off the side of Gryphem's back. Of course, she didn't actually do that. The griffin had a leather strap for riders to hold onto around his chest, and it continued underneath him. When Sloane slid off, she kept on hand on the strap, and slipped underneath him. Gryphem was used to Sloane fooling around on his back, and they had practiced moves like this on the odd occasion that they were necessary. Bulla, who was still on Gryphem's back, was a good actor, and squeaked in pretend terror.

Kanu's eyes widened as Sloane slid off the big bird's back. Okay so maybe he cared about the woman a tiny bit, but that was only because Heaven would 10/10 go after Hell for Sloane's death. "Oh crap, Sloane? Sloane?" He looked down, he didn't see her falling, where the hell had she gone? "Absolute idiot, if she is dead I am never going to hear the end of it." He released a sigh as he continued looking for her flailing body or something like that. Edited at May 24, 2020 02:23 PM by Soaring Free

Gryphem flapped in the air and also peered downward, as though he was looking for where his rider went. Sloane grinning from her spot underneath the griffin, and climbed back up on the other side. With her hands tight on the leather strap, she poked her head over Gryphem's back on the side opposite to where Kanu was looking, "Good to know you'll insult me even in my death."

Kanu was still fiercely looking around for Sloane when she appeared on the other side, her piercing voice scaring him for a second. His head swiveled around to face her, and he frowned. "Of course I would, especially if you died in such a stupid manner. You had me scared for a second, don't do that shit, it's not funny." He looked completely serious, he'd seen plenty of people die in a similar way, friends, death was one thing he never really joked about.

Sloane shrugged and climbed back on Gryphem's back, "I've practiced these movements on him rigorously. I was not trying to do something I wasn't confident in. Also, if I seriously did fall, Gryphem would catch me. That is also something I have practiced." Her actions had shaken Kanu, Sloane noted. She wasn't sure how she would react if he did the same thing. Sloane was pretty sure she wouldn't be as concerned, since Kanu was a literal dragon and could fly.

Kanu glared suspiciously, his eyes filled with an uncharacteristic annoyance. He truly had been afraid for a moment, terrified that he'd literally let the princess of heaven die. "Yea cuz that makes everything better. You better get me a new heart or something at this point, because I am pretty sure mine isn't working properly after the little stunt you just pulled. Asshole." He was teasing at the end, settling back into his normal, joker personality.

Sloane batted her eyelashes, "I can repair your heart.... NOT." Sloane busted out laughing, "Ready to head back down? I don't want to be this close to you for any longer than necessary." Kanu perhaps wasn't the worst person in the world to hang around with, like she originally had thought, but Sloane still wanted to gouge out her eyes at times.

A soft chuckle escaped Kanu's lips, it was the first time he'd heard Sloane truly joke in a way that wasn't offensive. Somehow, he found it rather... nice. Bah, there was no way he'd ever get along with this princess. He was forgetting his place. "Yes, please get us down. I'm tiring of your presence too obviously. You are so cruel sometimes, you hurt my poor heart." He spoke dramatically, placing a hand on his forehead as if he were about to cry or something. But he stopped quickly and instead stuck his tongue out at her like a teasing child.
