Sloane wrinkled his nose, "Gryphem was the reason I was able to get you back the palace that night. He likes you about as much as I do, and I recommend you not calling him a monster to his face." She crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow at Kanu, "And if that is now the plan, then let's go. Gryphem will be somewhere near the front of the palace." Turning on her heel away from Kanu, her footsteps were silent as she quickly walked down the halls. Sloane did not like having to ride on the griffin with Kanu either, but it was what had to be done.

Kanu did his best to keep up, though he definitely glanced back at the garden sadly once before speeding up to walk besides Sloane. "Ah, so he must find me very funny and charming. Like you do." Kanu grinned, his stupidity returning full force despite the fact that every now and then his own shadowy wings would shiver painfully.

"No," Sloane said coldly, narrowing her eyes, but not looking at the shifter beside her, "He wants to bite off your head." And with that pleasant idea, they left the palace, and Sloane whistled for her beast. Moments later Gyrphem settled down onto the stone, and Bulla, the little bubble dragon, settled down on Sloane's shoulder, who gave her a scratch, "Ready?" Sloane asked Kanu, and Gryphem growler under his breath, "There, there, Gryphem," She soothed, "This time he won't be dying on your back."

Kanu grinned at Sloane but said nothing until he saw the griffin. His face turned serious as he looked at the animal. "Thank you, for helping me." He said this simply, with a truthful tone to his voice. Kanu nodded at Sloane as he walked towards her, his wings disappearing in a swirl of shadows.

In response to Kanu's apology, Gryphem screamed in his face, then turned, and settled, crouching down so that Sloane and Kanu could get onto his back easier. Sloane got on first, and looked at Kanu with her nose wrinkled, "Get on up here you big loaf. And I hope you have good balance, cause you sure as hell ain't holding onto me."

When I tell you I laughed I-)) Kanu grinned but said nothing as the monster bird screamed in his face. He was pretty sure that he was showing some really good restraint, normally he would've either laughed or smacked it. He was trying to be a decent demon for once. Kanu got up soon after Sloane and chuckled softly. "I wouldn't ever even think about putting my hands on you Princess." He chuckled softly, but seriously, he was not trying to get murdered by her.

:) )) "Good to know you have some sense of self-preservation," Sloane remarked under her breath. More directed at Kanu now, the fae snorted, "Hold on." A second before she finished speaking, Bulla gripped her claws tightly on Sloane's shoulder, and Gryphem shot into the sky - directly up. His big, feathery wings pumped hard and fast. Sloane leaned forward, as the beast's body was vertical to the ground, and it balanced her out, and soon, they were high above the clouds. Edited at May 4, 2020 08:16 PM by bumblebee

The ELF uh okay)) Kanu had forgotten how terrifying flying could be when you weren't the one flying. He didn't understand how people found it natural to ride other things to get places. If anything, he found it rather disconcerting.

CRAP SHE IS A FAE I FIXED IT MY MIND WAS ON ANASURI AND EKON)))) Sloane twisted around on Gryphem, moving as though they weren't hundreds of miles in the air, and that if she fell she would be very dead. She was not sitting backwards on the griffin's back, and looked at Kanu with a raised eyebrow, "So. How are we going to kill the king?"

The seriousness of the conversation had easily taken Kanu's normal stupid grin off his face. A sign that he was truly listening and being genuinely serious. "Well we already know about the whole posion part, but it really depends on how we want to go about this. You see, I'm sure he'll expect me, expert assassain, to kill him. But at the same time, you aren't very friendly either." Kanu struggled to look at Sloane due to the glare of the ever to bright sun. Kanu really did hate Earth.
