Once they landed, Rowan got her bearings, then turned to Alvaro, "Lead the way," she told him, "I've got Neo."
Sorry... this is the last one I replied to and I'm tired.

Neo was still asleep but somehow seemed to know he should hold on to Rowan a bit tighter while in the air. Alvaro nodded and gave Rowan a half smile while leading the way to the on-floor house. "How have you been besides this? No one has threatened you yet right? We can sometimes get violent in stressful situations." Alvy had been planning on asking Rowan these questions before but hadn't had the time to.

Rowan half shrugged, "Yeah, I guess. I haven't really talked to anyone. Just been training and sleeping." This described the knights life win painful accuracy.

Alvaro nodded, his eyes wandering as he took a left at a sharp turn in the marketplace. "Yes, I can see you are some type of warrior. The way you act is very much like the guards. In fact, you're probably better than half of them." Alvaro wasn't one for lying, he'd tell someone like it is. And being so old, Alvaro knew his stuff.

"I doubt that. I haven't had nearly as much training as some of the other knights... you see... I have a kinda long story about where I came from and what I've done...." Rowan hadn't told anyone the full extent of what she had done with her life. Part of that untold story is her time as a princess, then knight, then leader of a small tribe, her time in the wild, then finding the small town and settling down as a fur trader and horse trainer.

Alvaro smiled, his head turning to the side so he could see Rowan. "Well, you'll have to tell me some day over a nice cup of tea. And if you don't like tea then warm milk or water if you're weird. And maybe you haven't have a lot of training compared to some but you're still excellent. Here we are." He had brought her to a nice little home. It was made of stone combine with wood from a single huge tree. It had three bedrooms with a fireplace in each and a large kitchen and a parlor with huge bookcases on the walls filled with books.

"Holy crap." It had been a long time since she'd been in a place this big. Certainly it wasn't as large as the palace, or even the manor she trained in, but since then... it would be nice to relax a bit, even if she wouldn't never be as calm as she one was. "And yes. That sounds good - whenever you have time on your hands... it might be nice to tell someone my story."

Alvaro nodded in agreement and held the door open for Rowan. The small boy in her arms was squirming now. Obviously getting uncomfortable after the flight. His eyes moved under the lids and Alvaro had the feeling he'd wake up soon. "There's a child's room in here." He held open another door for Rowan. "And I'll be around, might take me awhile to visit again. With everything going on." He gave Rowan a grim smile.

Rowan smiled back, equally as grim, "Well, the door, whether it be literal or figurative, is always open. Thank you, Alvaro, and I'll take care of the boy." She walked in, and huffed to herself. She had sworn off having kids of her own, yet here she was, caring for a child. Setting Neo down, Rowan pulled a chair to the bedside and sat down, so he wouldn't be alone when he woke.

Álvaro smiled and hovered at the doorway. "I guess I'll see you around Rowan." He gave her a small smile before disappearing. Completely silent as he left the house and took to the air. Heading towards the main entry of the border, where refugees and other allies came through. It was from here that Alvaro could tap into the energy he had created that made the border. It was from here, that he could hopefully keep everyone safe. Neo squirmed in his sleep. Not too much, but it was noticeable. Once he'd been put down, his body had almost shrunk in on itself and he was curled up in a ball.
