Rowan nodded, "Yeah... he's asleep... the poor, poor boy..." Her voice was scarcely a whisper, "What happened here?"

Alvaro took in a deep breath before replying. Stressfully running a hand through his hair. "The field is fading, day after day manticores try to get through. I'm trying to build up its resistance but they're coming to fast for me to repair it. I've been working on it for awhile now. Anyways, it seems like a manticore somehow broke through and found it's way here. Killed the medic. Damnit, should've fixed this earlier, I should've been here." He released an inhuman growl. For a second, he released a sudden wave of anger before he reined it in.

"Anyway I can help you fix it?" Rowan offered, "I'd like to repay you for saving my life... thank you for that, by the way. Really." Rowan gently stood up, still rocking Neo in her arms. She hoped to find a place to let him sleep, but where she could also be near.

Neo grumbled a little bit buried his head further into Rowan instead of waking up. "It wasn't a problem Rowan," it really was. "And I'm not sure. The barrier might not take your magic for itself. It won't hurt you if we test it out. The border is sentient and may just ignore your magic. It's worth a shot though." Alvaro looked around before continuing, "this is no place for a child to be. It radiates death after the medic. We have an extra ground house which we could use for him."

Rowan nodded, and stayed silent. Something felt more... broken... now in Alvaro. She was the source of this problem, and felt it keenly. The warrior just hoped she would be more of a help than a burden.

Alvaro smiled, "so, I'll bring you two down. And yes I can carry both of you at once. It's a great work out." The faerie let his wings out, the mark on his face glowing green. His eyes looking over the place in disgust. The energy here was bad.

"How's this going to work?..." as in, how the heck was she supposed to hold onto Alvaro while also making sure Neo was safe. Rowan didn't have a fear of heights, or was worried about herself, but she was concerned about Nero's safety.

"Hold on to Neo while I pick you up by your armpits. I've done it before and it works for the most part. If you really don't like it I can call someone else but it might disturb the boy." Alvaro shrugged, scratching his pointed ear.

Rowan shrugged, or well, a half shrug that was restrict by the child in her arms. "I'm fine with it," she agreed, arranging the child in her arms to be able to do as Alvaro said.

Alvaro took flight and stayed low. With a smile, he gained speed and scooped Rowan up with ease. Staying parallel to the ground, he flew out the doorway and slowly glided to the floor. His wings rapidly beating the air like a hummingbird. Faeries always flew like that so it wasn't an odd thing at all. In fact, Alvaro hardly seemed troubled by the weight he was carrying.
